A BREIF EXPLANATION OF THE TRIFORCE AND MODERN ZELDA PLAY

The triforce: Is a sacred relic created by the three godesses, and endowed with their powers. If a person with an evil heart touches it and makes a wish, it will split into three pieces, one will go to the person who made the evil wish (which one depends on the person and which power most matches him or her) and the other two will go to those chosen by destiny to wield the power of them.

Modern Zelda: We play Zelda Characters (In this case from the Ocarina of Time game) in a modern-day setting. Magic is a factor, though not used commonly, and almost no one save for those of royal, sage, or hero lineage have it. Everything is modern, Zelda herself could appear in jeans and a tee shirt, etcetera.

THE PLOT

In this plot, the backstory begins ages and ages and AGES ago, when the godesses and the sages finally joined forces to put an end to the strife over the sacred Triforce. They sealed Ganondorf away with all the power available to both sides, and they were confident he would remain harmless forever. The triforce was hidden from all but the godesses themselves, and, as the Theme of Time continues and the hero, sages and princess are reincarnated over and over and over again, eventually they live as normal people, there is no world to save, and no hero to guide. This continues into the modern era, which is the setting for our story. Somehow Ganon has returned, possibly his dark energy was not completely drained, and built up over decades and centuries until it burst the seal. The magical 'shockwave' of his reentrance via reincarnation also loosed the triforce from it's magical shroud, somebody has to find it before Ganon does, preferably someone whose heart will not break it, as his would. But as the heroes have not had evil to fight for aproximately one hundred ages, It makes things kind of tricky.

THE SETTING:

A fairly large city, more specifically a highschool in a fairly large city. (Subjects are the same as in todays schools, with the exception that the history of Hyrule is replacing regular history. They learn about the OoT Link and the battle he faught the same way we learn about World War II today)

~^*^~

It was a gorgeous day in Hyrule, simply gorgeous. The sun had broken out of the clouds which had rained all the past week, and the world was bright and fresh once more. Save of course, for all of the mud and puddles along the road, which Zelda stepped into as soon as she stepped out of the car and onto the walk in front of Castle Town High. Then her opinion of the day changed terribly. One hour into the morning and she'd already gotten mud on her shoes and the hem of her spotless jeans. The girl looked down, removing her sunglasses for a moment, blue eyes scrutinizing the damage. Shame she didn't keep a change of jeans in her locker. Ah well, maybe she could get away without someone noticing that Zelda Hylor had mud on her. Oh dear but this would never do... a worried look pervaded face and she pursed her lips. There was an image at stake here, and that image was impenetrable. Except by this stupid mud splatter. Really, Zelda need not have worried over such a trivial thing, but, when on had little of real relevance to fret over, it was easier to sweat the small stuff. And besides, part of what made Zelda undeclared 'miss popular' at Castle Town High was her look. Her hair was combed within a strand of it's life, her makeup was - after several critical revisions - applied near flawlessly, and her outfit was reasonable - good, dark jeans and a black turtleneck sweater which offset her blond hair nicely - hey, if one part of your life is bad, the other part has to be awesome. It was just balance; Zelda was born into a rich family. That was why she could afford to dress so well. However, her parents...hadn't really wanted kids. They were at a loss as to what to do with their unexpected child. So they showered her with stuff. Clothes, stereos, CDs, an ocarina, music lessons. Shame the gifts were really just trinkets. Zelda couldn't ever remember hearing the words 'I love you' from either parent, and both of them were always either busy in the office or doing whatever it was they did outside the house. Zelda was stuck most of the time in a huge house with nothing to do but goof around with the stuff she'd gotten from her parents. And then she had school. School was where Zelda shone. Sure, she wasn’t the smartest person in the school, but to be popular you didn't have to be. She had a small group of friends who she could talk to...most of the time. She learned fast that they didn't really want to know about the feeling she got at home, the feeling like she was some sort of pet you could throw toys at to make her happy. They just wanted to know the pretty, popular, happy-face Zelda, so that was what she gave them. And then there were the scrubs, new kids mostly, who hoped that her popularity would somehow 'rub off' if they hung around her enough. Well, this was what everybody wanted; it was supposed to make your life happy, right? Of course right. But one couldn’t upkeep the image if one had mud on one's originally spotless jeans! Did mud stain? Zelda didn't know, she'd never had to do laundry, the housekeeper did that. Oh dear, not that it really mattered, Zelda could probably stain all the jeans she wanted and Mother and Father probably still wouldn't pay her much attention. Zelda wasn't an attention freak, she was used to it at school, but she didn't crave it. But, at home, was a simple "Hi, how was your day?" with SINCERITY too much to ask for every now and again? Apparently. She quickened her step towards the school, trying to maintain the look of ease, confidence...feigned happiness.

((Restricting Homosexual content is a little too much. Just some constructive criticism, but that rule might broadcast to people "I RESTRICT EVERYTHING", and turn them away. Good luck though.))
