Loki noticed Odyn standing in the doorway looking... well lost. "Dip the mop into the bucket and wash the deck" he said gently as he went over to the boy, he petted his head gently then continued up to the upper deck, the ship was moving at full speed, ripping his hair back from his face he took hold of the wheel. The air around them was clear and chilled, not a cloud above them, not a cloud below.

Odyn looked up at Loki as he explained how to use the stuff in his hands, surprised as he tone was softer than when he had been told to wash the deck for borrowing Loki's swords. His eyes narrowed slightly as the wind from the high speeds attacked his face, but he didn't complain. When he was done, he thought about taking a look around at the scenery below the ship while there were no clouds under them.
Until then, though, he had a job to do. He did as Loki told him to do, dunking the mop into the soapy water, draining the excess away from the mop before sliding the mop against the deck, cleaning up on patch of the wood around where he was standing. It seemed logical to clean from one side of the ship to the other, and so that was what he did, mopping up the wooden floor of the deck with his now trusty mop and bucket.

Kenshin finally got up the nerve and began climbing the nets up to the crow's nest. He went at a snail's pace, lifting up once every couple seconds. The klutz in him had yet to show again, so he sped up a tad. After an agonizing three minutes, he flopped into the nest. He laid in there for a while, trying to suppress his now-evident spine from making him stand. The sky was totally clear, so by looking up while on his back, Kenshin had no idea where they were. Hopefully the falls kicks up enough vapor for him to shout "Land ho!" before they figure that out physically.

Odyn paused in his work of cleaning the deck as he caught sight of Kenshin clambering up to the crow's next again. He smiled weakly, guessing that Kenshin was going to keep himself busy trying to find the falls before anyone else. He glanced around, seeing everyone else doing other work, and guessed he better carry on with his own little job before Loki caught him slacking off. He was already in trouble enough for stealing swords, he doubted slacking off would make his life any better. His stomach growled as he remembered that he still had not eaten anything that day, wondering when he'd be able to have something to eat - he was already feeling sluggish enough at the moment, after having fought an overly large skelatal, single handed. He carried on with his cleaning though, not complaining at all. He'd eat when everyone else did.

Ion hummed idly to herself as she scaled the rigging, checking for fraying ropes and loosening knots. She was one of the few of the crew who were really at home above the deck. She could see her partner for this work over on the other side of the ship. He wasn't quite as quick as she was and still had a lot to do. Ion, on the other hand, as mostly done. Her stomach was rumbling. She hoped the lunch bell would ring soon.

"All clear on this side!" she shouted over to her partner. He looked up and nodded toward her and Ion grinned. That was her cue to leave. She jumped, catching hold of one of the many ropes that led to the deck surface. Within moments her boots made a thump next to Odyn.

"Are you in trouble?"

Odyn had been quietly getting on with the task he had been told to do as punishment for borrowing swords, and then Ion had to come thumping along with her boots and make him jump - his gaze darting to her. He frowned slightly, guessing that he was in trouble, as Loki had been angry and had shouted - but then, Loki had been quiet and soft again as he explained what exactly he was supposed to do.
"Apparently, I am. Captain wasn't too happy with me borrowing his swords to take out that last skeletal. I have to clean the deck now..." He said, glancing up from where Ion had appeared from, "What were you doing up there?" He asked, not seeing any reason for her to be up there. He dipped the mop back in the bucket, leaning against it a little as he looked back at Ion.

Ion shrugged. "Ropes don't last forever. Sometimes they break and if they break, someone usually gets hurt. Sometimes they get killed. So I was looking for ropes that may snap. Maybe that will become your job... but then, I don't know. You must be a very quick climber." She crossed her arms then and let her tail swish thoughtfully. "You know, there is an easier way, now that most of it is done..." she said

Odyn understood what Ion was talking about, though he wasn't sure that he'd be that fast at climbing up there. He wasn't really build for climbing up ropes like that. He'd try it out later, maybe. His gaze then wandered to Ion as she talked about there being an easier way of doing something. "What's that way?" He asked, wondering if he'd be able to take part in this 'easier way' of getting the job done.

Ion smiled brilliantly, suddenly. She snapped her fingers and her own bucket full of water appeared at her feet. She snatched it up, slopping water over the sides that disappeared once it cleared the rim. "Heads up!" she chirpped. The many deck hands nearby looked up and stared from the bucket in Ion's hands and the one at Odyn's feet, wondering which was real and which was a trick. Many opted to take the safer route and darted out of her path. With only a moment's hesitation, Ion threw the water high into the air, soaking a few more of her crewmates who cried out in outrage. Ion happily ignored them.

"You see? Now you don't have to go dipping the mop in and out and in and out and in and out and in..." she stopped abruptly then, paused, and then continued with a nod. The water on the deck vanished and the angry crew calmed slightly as they appeared dry again. "Your turn!"

The office space Keiji had aquired was pleasently quiet, and the paper work that had to be done was stacked up on the left side of his desk. Keiji yawned and folded his arms on the desk before he lowered his head so that it laid ontop of his arms. Perhaps now he could get a little sleep while no one was bothering him. Ever since Odyn had disappeared everyone seemed to be in a constant hurry. "We have to find him, we have to find him." That's all they ever talked about. If the Sky Pirates who came that night took Odyn then either they knew he was something special or they just took him because he was a boy.
As Keiji closed his eyes and dosed off to sleep, his stomach grumbled rather loudly. Annoyed that now it was his own body keeping him from peaceful slumber, Keiji pushed back the chair he was sitting in and stood up to make his way for the door, "I need to start carrying snacks with me if this is going to happen. Every now and again a guy just wants his sleep!" It was hard not to keep his aggitation from his voice, and reluctantly he schooled his face so that it was its normal composure as usual. Making his way to the cafeteria would take seven minutes, and another two or three to decide what to eat, then finally another seven minutes to make it back to his desk and maybe another five to eat, if he decided not to eat as he walked. That was always sloppy and Keiji didn't feel like taking his lab coat to the cleaners again. Suppressing a heavy sigh, Keiji turned a corner and started down a flight of stairs. That's a good sixteen minutes I'm going to be wasting, and it'll be hard for me to relax after this exercise.. Keiji growled at the thought, not noticing the two other scientists that passed him and gave wary glances when he did. That means I'd might as well get some paper work done today .. Such a bother.

((Bump successful! +23 EXP!))

Kenshin saw a droplet of water enter the nest. He leaned up to see if that was condensation from the falls. Alas, nothing showed up. He leaned over and saw Ion making illusions at Odyn. He shouted down to her, "Ahoy, can you take it down a notch? I almost thought we hit the falls with that." He shaded his eyes and looked to the horizon, hoping to set a good example while avoiding the various hazards coming at his eyes at full speed. He began wondering if the spyglass would help.

Nym had been advised that if she was to take another scientist out with her to try and bring their beloved experiments and creations home, it would be Kenji to find. Apparently, when he wasn't sleeping, he was a pretty smart worker. Maybe he'd be able to fill the gaps in her thought patterns when it came to planning to get Odyn back. She made her way down to his office, avoiding the areas of the lab that had been damaged by the cannonballs of the Sky Pirates. She sweapt her crimson hair from her emerald eyes as she reached his office, peeking round the doorframe to see if he was in the room.
"Kenji?" She quietly called out, though guessed he wasn't there when he didn't give her a reply - he wasn't asleep at his desk, and so she could only guess that he was out of the office. She'd just have to wait here till his return then, to talk with him about what the others had suggested.

~

Odyn watched Ion's antics, glancing up at Kenshin as he called out to her, unable to stop a quiet laugh as it seemed that him and other pirates weren't happy until they realised they had been fooled by an illusion. Odyn wasn't all too sure about doing the same as her, as he thought that the other pirates would get annoyed because if they were hit they would actually get wet. But it would be a quicker way of finishing the job, and so it was worth a go. He took the mop from the bucket, leaning it up against the mainsail nearby before grabbing the bucket,
"Head's up!" He called, louder than what Ion had done, and watched as the Pirates were more weary and scrambled off to dry safety. When it was clear enough, Odyn tossed the water in the bucket, watching as it splashed the whole of the deck, making it wet, and splashing a few of the pirates, but they didn't seem to mind a few droplets. Odyn then grabbed the mop again, flashing Ion a sheepish grin, "Thanks Ion..." He said as he walked past her again, beginning to mop up the now soaked deck, cleaning up the mess that the skeletal demons had left behind when they were killed and thrown overboard. This was much quicker and easier than taking the bucket with him everywhere he went.

Ion smiled. "Oh, no problem. I have to be helpful every once in a while don't I? That way it balances out." She tilted her head up. "And you up there! The Falls are still hours away. Come down, why don't you?" She rolled her eyes, mostly to herself and hopped up to seat herself on the side of the ship. She missed going to the falls... they hadn't been for a very long time. She did remember quite clearly about how far it was. Kenshin could be holed up in the basket for the rest of the day. If she was correct, there wouldn't be anything to see until dusk...

Keiji stumbled up a few stairs holding a cup of hot chocolate and a couple of meat pastries that he snagged from the cafeteria. Awake or not he took his time to get back to his desk, not at all looking forward to the work ahead. Keiji lifted the cup up to his lips and took a quick sip of his drink. The smooth chocolatey warm taste ran passed his tongue and down his throat, and if he had not stopped himself he would have chugged the entire cup. When Keiji finally arriaved at his station a woman was waiting for him. She had short cut fine red hair and deep brown eyes. Keiji wondered who the woman was; someone from higher-up maybe? Or possibly just a new recruite for the teams here. The place was big enough that he didn't know everyone. Still. She didn't look like she was new. Rather she looked impatient about something as far as Keiji could tell from her facial expression. Keiji had to admit she looked comfortable in her lab coat and under that appeared to be a short cut blue dress. He walked passed her and to his desk where he set down his pastries and slowly lowered himself into a chair before he turned to the female, "How can I help you?" Keiji asked in a soothing tone. A small smile crept onto his face.

Nym understood that it wasn't exactly easy for everyone to know everyone in this place, though she didn't particularly understand why she was being examined for a moment by Keiji - but wouldn't question it either. She smiled weakly as he was asked how he could be of help,
"I'm Dr. Nym Valentine - i was working on the Experiment Odyn. I've been told that if I needed a partner to get him and the many other stolen creations, you are the hard worker I'm supposed to look out for. Although, they did tell me that you did like your sleep quite a bit too." Nym said, entering the office as she spoke, making herself comfortable in the spare chair on the other side of the desk, crossing right leg over the left as she waited for Keiji's opinion on the matter of if he was good enough to come with her.

Odyn smiled weakly, glad that she was willing to help him, though he wasn't sure what she was balancing out. He didn't ask though, doubting that there was any point in asking, he'd be able to figure it out at some point. He looked up at Kenshin as Ion called out to him, wondering if he would come down like Ion asked. If Ion had been to the falls like she had said, then Odyn was sure that she knew what she was talking about when telling the amount of time before finding the falls.

Keiji almost sighed. Oh joy. Between work and more work, not the only question is which is the lesser of two evils. Looking for someone couldn't possibly be that hard, could it? " Well Doctor Nym, you have heard right. As you can see though I have a mountain of paper work and no insentive to help you find your experiment. What exactly makes you think I'd be the proper canindate for this work other than 'I work hard'?" Keiji didn't like being the ass hole type, but in order to know which was less work, he'd have to be.

"Your paperwork will be taken care of if you came with me." Nym said, finding it rather rude that he would think to blow her off for doing paperwork... of all things. "I might be a doctor here, but I don't work on the technological side of things, I need to get close to Odyn so that I can work to get him back. Without someone with the knowledge of technology, that's not possible. Without Odyn - all our jobs are on the line..." She added, glancing round the room to find little odd things here and there, "The others told me you had a knack for all the stuff I'm rather clueless about, including the flight patterns of our hand made aircrafts." She continued, her gaze wandering back to Keiji with a small smile. "Is that reason enough for you not to come with me? Or don't you want to go on an adventure?" She finished, wondering if the thought of getting out of the office for a little while could convince him enough to come along for the ride.

"Hmm..." Keiji brought his right hand up to cup his chin, "My paper work would be taken care of, eh? I just hope it would be by someone capable of actually understanding organic biotechnology." He hadn't realized he had spoken outloud and was lost in thought. A little adventure might be nice. And this project of hers, Odyn, seemed to be interesting already, "Tell me a bit more about your experiment. If I'm to help you, I think it's only right that I learn a bit about what I'm trying to reclaim. Makes surprises less you understand."
