Martian had been running for almost ten minutes when he stopped, the long coat he wore and the heavy rucksack on his back made it harder to run. He panted, catching his breath again, he was still unable to shake the feeling he was being followed, though he knew there was nobody else there.

Cara turned, she heard a whisper of, He won't come.
"Who's there?" The darkness of the night greeted her. "I swear to God, I'll hurt you if you don't show yourself." Still no answer. Unnerved, she walked swiftly into her house and closed the door, before running up to her bedroom.

BiC: Martian felt very exposed, walking down the empty streets, but he willed himself to keep walking and not break down again, to ignore the vulnerable feeling.
He jumped as a dog barked from inside a garden fence, and he was intensely glad the fence was there after catching a glimpse of the teeth on it.

Imagine smiled slihtly and stepped out of the shadows,if the girl looked out the window she would see her.She continued to repeat the words to herself,"He won't come.They never come."

Cara sat in her room, watching the door. Somewhere in the night, she heard a dog barking. Is it him, or just another dog? She couldn't get the boy out of her head. She couldn't stop thinking about his last words. Walking to the window again, she looked out over the suburbs. She remembered him calling himself Martian and Connor. So who are you? And why are you so afraid?, she thought.

He quickly sped past the gardens, many of them had dogs, he didn't like dogs, they didn't like him much either. He checked the battered wristwatch on his arm, it was very late, he wondered whether he would be able to walk all night. He assumed he could just walk until he found an open shop to buy food in, he decided to do that, since, as his unbelievably dominating stomach reminded him, he hadn't eaten in almost thirty two hours.

Imagine was still muttering,her footsteps becoming lighter and lighter,as though she was about to start dancing.She spun round her arm flying above her head and began to dance around the pond still chanting the words until she spun and fell backwards into the pond.Letting the cold water engulf her she smiled.

Martian sighed, and began walking, just walking, taking any street his feet carried him through, that was one upside, he could walk for hours and his feet would not even begin to ache. He shifted his bag higher up his back and whistled Stairway To Heaven quietly in an attempt to keep himself company.

OOC: Can I just ask if we're allowed to have more than one character? Because I can't really do much with mine right now

Gerard opened his door, causing light to spill out into his back yard. His dog wouldn't stop barking. As he walked towards it to calm him down, he saw another guy on the other side of the fence. He looked uncomfortable.
"Don't worry. She doesn't bite, and she can't get over the fence yet."

Martian didn't look comforted, "Yet?" He asked nervously, frowning at the newcomer, putting his hands defensively into his pockets and taking a defiant step forwards.

"She's a labrador, so she'll get pretty big," he said as way of explanation. "She's still got a while though, she's just a pup."

"Oh," He replied, "Okay," Though he didn't sound too sure. He decided to make conversation, "What's her name?" He asked, the first question he could think of.

"Midnight. My little sister came up with it," Gerard shrugged, as if it wasn't a big deal.
"I'm Gerard by the way,"

Martian nodded slowly, "I'm...Connor," He said, unwilling to divulge 'Martian' to someone with a dog, even if it was only a puppy, he had learnt to be wary of dogs.

"Nice to meet you. You live around here?"

He shrugged, "Sort of, I'm just looking right now," He said vaguely, he tried not to give too much away, he was already scared he had said too much to the girl earlier, he hoped she hadn't followed him, that she was safe, after all, she had tried to help him, he wouldn't forget.
