Lucy stood at her door watching people pass her by without nobody making so much as a glance at her ''Leonardo? you there?" she whispered to something forming beside her "of course m'lady" the shadow responded, Leonardo had been Lucy's friend for six years and had never disappeared completely. Sometimes he just blended into her shadow or the other persons shadow, Leonardo was a 16th century spirit that had killed quite a few innocents in his time in limbo, "d'you think that we could have some fun m'lady?" Lucy paused before answering while she looked around "well i guess it wouldn't hurt" She grinned as she somehow turned into a dark spirit like Leonardo.

Victor was walking into the school, seeing the principle but not bothering even to give her a single glance. He walked down the hall way, looking at the many different students as he walked to class.
And why am I here in this dump again?...Oh, yea right...I the US wants me to get that so-called education, and then i have to serve them for...was it like 4 years? Or about, Victor thought.

He came to class, threw his bag at a random seat, and sat down, or more, he slouching on the chair, and then waited for the class to start. Why am I so bored...Oh yea...right, music, Victor thought, then he got his headphones out and listened to Linkin Park. He liked to isolate himself from what was happening around him, he liked to be alone and ignored, though...he did like to see people writhe in mental pain as he would make them experience constant nightmares during the night, and make them hallucinate their worst fears, but he had to be careful, these guys had powers too so they wouldn't go down without a fight.

Victor grinned, I'm sure that this school will be more interesting than the previous ones that I have been to, Victor thought, and then he continued for the class to start.

Ali was sitting in the back of the classroom with his head resting on his hands. He didn't want to be in the class he had changed last night and couldn't sleep when he finally changed back. Ali didn't really look his best his eyes were polluted with dark rings and his hair was tousled from sleep. His eyes closed for a few moments before they flickered open, looking around the classroom he groaned and rubbed his head slowly. Opening his eyes again he looked out the window at the grounds, catching his reflection Ali looked at his silver eyes both bloodshot. He thought back to last night to what happened. Rubbing his temple in slow circular motion trying to ease the pain of an oncoming headache. Finding no relief he covered his face with his hair and put his head on his arms and closed his eyes again.

Claire rushed through the hallways, her bag slipping from her shoulder. She adjusted it quickly. She was running late again. Figures. Her first day at this place, and she was already running late. She had overslept, and it was her parent's fault. They had kept her, making sure she got all her stuff. Like they didn't want her back, which they probably didn't. And Claire didn't blame them. People were cringing away from her as she pushed past them, feeling her extreme body temperature. She pulled the door to her classroom open, and walked through the doorway. She looked around, then sighed with relief. She wasn't late. She grabbed the red iPod from her pocket, and changed the song to something with a strong beat. She picked out a seat she wanted, in the back row right by the window, and headed over to it. She collapsed into it, her hair falling in her face after her long run. She set her bag on the ground next to her chair, and started to finger something on her desk. Her music was extremely loud, to make sure she could hear the music and only the music. Music was her life, and she loved it. She pulled her iPod out, and changed the song. A song on piano started to blare into her ear, and she fingered along both hands on her desk. It was one of her songs, one she had recorded and put on her iPod. She loved listening to it, because it reminded her of the emotion she had felt when she was writing it.
She wonders "Why?" Does anyone ever hear her when she cries? This is the dark before the dawn. The storm before the peace. Don't be afraid, the seasons change.

Sky walked along the sidewalk outside the school through the courtyard. he spent most of his time out here, too afraid to approach anyone as much as he wanted to. He was too shy for his own good. He knew it himself. He sighed, lonely now as he marched into the doors of the school and down the packed hallway of students. People recoiled at his touch as he made his way through the crowd, repulsed and confused by his ice cold skin. His breath turned to fog in front of his face as he walked. No, he ccould not control ice, but the cold spirits wafting around him stiffled his air and took the warmth out of his paleish skin.

He wished people wouldn't feel so afraid of his power. He wished they would stop recoiling like he was a monster. He just wanted someone to talk to him. He just wanted someone he could trust. He was sick of being shy. He was ssick of being looked down upon. He was sick of being a freak...

...as ironic as that was in this school...

He spotted a girl burst into a room and sit at a desk, listening to music. He walked into the class, his next one actually, and hesitated as he took a seat. He had been heading for one nearby her in hopes of breaking his anti-social sheild around him but ducked out at the last moment and chose a different one in the corner away from it all. Angry with himself as he set down hiss bags.

Claire heard the song finish, and reached down to her bag after shutting off her music and wrapping the headphones around it safely. She pulled a notebook out from her bag, and sighed as she gazed at it. It had so many singe holes in the cover, from her carrying it around with her wherever it went. She was glad it hadn't reached to the actual paper, since this notebook carried every song she had ever wrote, and every story and every poem. She flipped it open, being careful to not touch the paper too long or she would burn a hole through it. On the first page were complicated strings of notes, and chords and words along with them. It was the first song she had ever written. She flipped through to the first empty page, and started to write, making sure to not touch her hand to the paper. She had a metal pencil, so it wouldn't melt in her hands unless she was angry. But right now she was just upset she was stuck here, when she could be at home. Not that it was any better at home. But at least there, she was surrounded by people who knew she was a freak, and she could have locked herself in her room at home. She drew the notes quickly, her pencil flying across the page as she raced to write down at least the beginning of her song before she would have to put it away. She didn't want to talk to anyone, seeing as they must all think of her as a freak, because of her temperature. They hadn't seen anything if they had only felt her temperature.

Sky took out his normal dice. he had three of them. Two were clear with black dots and the other was black with white. He fiddled with them as his golden eyes scanned the room for someone that he might not feel so bad to talk to. How did he even talk to someone anyways? He had never beent he first to introduce himself. He mentally ordered the spirits standing around him to move the dice around on the table in front of him. He could see their ghostly whisps moving them but others wouldn't be able to see a thing other than himself and a pair of moving dice.

'Talk to someone already...'

‘Now THIS is a school’ Ethan thought as he walked towards the gates of St. Lewis’s ‘a school where everybody is just like you and where you’re not some freak of nature... I’ve certainly had enough of being treated like that. Oh, and I try to be nice to the normals, I make their old rusty cars good as new, I’ve saved people from getting hit by a car by stopping time, but they just stare at me and run away... but enough of that, time to meet some new people!’

As he walked up to the doors, he saw a girl talking to some weird spirit. He went up to the girl and said “Um... hey, I’m Ethan, a new transfer student... do you think you can help me find the Frostmire dorm?” He assumed an awkward smile and said “I hope we can be friends.”

Alex floated through the halls of school. They were thinning out as students headed to their classes, which were about to start. Turning a corner he saw the door to the classroom. He sped up slightly, it was going to be close. Entering the room, still hovering a few inches off the ground, he quickly found a seat in the back of the class and lowered into just as the bell rang. He couldn't help but smile. His bag settled down next to him and things started to float out. His pencil, notenook, text book, and reading nook all were arranged neatly on the desk in front of him. After he had every thing settled, he looked around to see who he was sitting next to. He was next to a girl who seemed to be radiating heat, who was absorbed in what she was writing in her notebook. Looking to his left he saw guy with two dice on his desk moving around. Alex smiled and nodded towards him.

Sky put his hand stiffly on the desk and ordered the spirits to push them into his hand. They heard his order and the dice shot into his hand like bullets. He regretted ordering the spirits so nervously. When he was nervous, they were nervous and their movements were less gental and more powerful.

He closed his white fist tightly on the black and white cubes, feeling eyes on him. He glanced up at the boy who had made it in just before the bell. His pencils and notebooks wafting lightly onto his desk. Sky blinked up at the kid, feeling awkward and willing himself to talk, and failing miserably in the silence. His hand tightened on the dice till his knuckles turned white and he forced himself to relax a little bit. He had to get over his fear of speaking. He had to get over his anti-social attitude.

Jay D was sitting in one of the corridors, so early in the day and he'd already been sent out. Wasn't his fault, he hated Miss Green and her nature shit. He was ice, he killed nature. And threw snowballs at any sucker who...well just anyone really. He formed a cup out of his hands and pulled the moisture from the air, pushing them through his pores and letting it course through his body, an electric blue pulsed through his eyes and his lips went ice blue, his skin turning such a colour that he looked dead. He smiled, letting the ice seepout of the pores of his palms firing it into the middle of the cup of his hands where he created a small shining ball of pure ice. When he'd used up all the ice his body returned to normal.
The ball didn't feel cold to touch, he had always been cold, so the ice made no difference to him. His skin had to be cold by nessecity, or the ice he created would melt when he touched it.

Lucy blushed nobody usually spoke to her "its down that way" she said as she pointed down the hall "I'm Lucy, Lucy Roxby and I don't think you'd like to be friends with me" she said as she hurried off to her first class. She had Computer studies her favorite class, she always seemed to be the best at computers but she didn't understand why.

Ali's head slipped off his hand causing him to jolt awake. His silver eyes looked around the classroom noticing that more people had arrived and the room was almost full. Letting a low growl escape his throat he closed his eyes again and lounged back into his chair folding his arms tightly and resting his chin onto his chest. He could hear everything going on around him, People talking, other shifting in their seats. It was driving Ali to a point of frustration the headache was growing worse. Growling again he sat up again running his fingers through his hair he gripped the back off it screwing his eyes tightly.

The last person to enter the classroom before the teacher came and shouted at her for being late was Kokumo Gharran, a black girl with long black hair, part of which was pulled back into a half ponytail being held up by golden chopsticks, but just enough long, blck hair was left to frame her coffee coloured face. Brown eyes darted nervously around as she slipped towards the back, her long purple cardigan ruffling out behind her knees. She nodded politely to a young boy, who was holding three dice rather angrily and the air around him seemed to be colder then the rest of the room, but Kokumo didn't mind.

She slipped into the seat on the desk next to him, quietly placing her books on the desk. She reacher up nervously to reajust the wooly black scarf which was wrapped tightly around her neck. Kokumo swallowed; she was rather nervous. She wasn't meant to be in this class, but the year above, but because her English wasn't so good, they had kept her back. But that didn't stop her being in the right year for Maths and Science. She saw the boy besides her nervously playing with the dice in her hand and she regretfully looking into his eyes. She attempted a small smile and then moved her head back down, her leg crossing over one as she drummed her fingers against the desk.

God, she was so darn nervous.

He now felt terrible folding his arms and resting them on the table Ali used them as a pillow. Burying his head in his arms his closed his eyes again and tried to relax and calm down.

Sky glanced at the girl who had slid in next to him. He couldd feel her soul. It was jumpy and anxious. He guessed it was nervous. Perhaps as much as himself. He turned slightly towards her, golden eyes not afraid to look directly at her as he cleared his throat to begin, voice smooth as velvet and soft like wind chimes as he spoke in almost a whisper. "I'm....I'm Sky...." He mumbled shyly.

After a while Jay D got bored, he put the ball of ice into his mouth and crunched it between his teeth, the cold slick feeling pleasant as he swallowed. He pushed himself up and leant against the wall for a few seconds, he glanced into the class room, ye there was no way miss green was letting him back in. She hated him. he sighed and put his hands into his pockets then set off to wonder the corridors until second period. Geez the corridors were too familiar too him, it was almost boring.

Kokumo turned at the sound of the boy's voice, her mouth slightly agape as she let out a tiny gasp. She had just been so shocked for him to speak. She closed her mouth quickly once she realized it was open, swallowing in slight nervousness. Then she smiled smally, at first it was just a twitch of her muscles to create a smile, but then she showed a tiny flash of white teeth.

"Hey..." She spoke quietly back, her accent coming out quite strongly. Afraican-Caribbean. She glancing nervously at the teacher at the front, checking they weren't looking over at the two. But even so, she found a scrap of paper within her notebook and wrote upon it, hoping her English would be good enough in the written word. The note read simply, as her knowledge of the language she wrote in was not her own and therefore had to be in a simply as possible context for her to understand.

My name is Kokumo. I am sorry. My English is bad.

Sky sighed. It wasn't as hard writing to her as it was to speak. He allowed his lip to twitch, almost a smile but not quite. He had never really smiled before. He'd never had a reason to. Maybe there would be hope yet for that though.

He took out his own pen and scrawled neatly a reply.

Victor sat in the class, pretending to pay attention to the teacher, but he was really just noticing what was happening around him and the class room. He saw that that there were two students behind him, exchanging notes instead of whispering their little conversation.
Victor felt that he needed to send a little chill down their spines...to make them nervous, make them fear everyone in the class room. Victor wanted to create mistrust between the students, to manipulate people, to see them fight each other meaninglessly.

Victor smiled wickedly as he got his small notebook up and began writing.
Isn't it funny? Every person in here has inhuman powers...some good others are for the usage of creating 'fun'

Isn't it strange? We all mistrusts each other, hatred runs deep within us all, we all chose revenge over forgiveness. But isn't that how we humans work? Isn't that how we all are?

Now, as for who I am...You will both find out, when you cannot sleep, when your sleep is haunted by your cruel past, when your mind has finally given up all sanity and have embraced madness, then I shall be revealed...As your worst nightmare!

Victor wrote, then he silently tore the page out, quietly crumbled it together, hid his notebook, then he gave the two students a quick look, and saw that they weren't paying the least bit attention to him, so he threw the crumbled note at the one called for Koku...something, Victor hadn't bothered listening after when the teacher had called for their names.

Victor didn't see if he hit the person or not, for he quickly turned around and gave the teacher his so-called 'undivided attention' though Victor couldn't help but to smile from ear to ear, Soon...soon there shall be created mistrust, deception, and fear amongst the students. And I...I shall be standing in the middle, pretending to be everyone's friend, but in truth, I was the one who created this...I wonder how strong these people are, but that will also make it even more fun to see how unpredictable some things can turn out, even when things backfires at me. I doubt that any of these people have to guts to kill anyone.
