This is a Mentor Workshop roleplay.

The setting is in a library, with most of the books being rather old and hand-written. It seems to be dusk, but there are no windows to be found in the confines of the library. Now, if you will take the first post and get this roleplay off the ground, we will start ChaoticMarin! C:

At this beautiful but inconvenient time of day, few were visiting the library, and most that are there are getting ready to leave, all but a select few that would seem not to care. One of these select few is helping herself to some books of magical nature in a part of the library of no particular significance. The book itself, if one were to happen to recognize it, was a rather advanced book as far as the difficulty of learned content goes. A woman holds the book, looking it over before popping it open to sample some of the text written inside, flipping first to the first page, and then nearly halfway through the book. Perchance, she may be attempting to get a feel for it before she tries to read the whole thing. This woman, was of course somewhat noteworthy. By her appearance alone, she looked... bottom heavy. You may have heard of someone being top heavy, but this is the exact opposite. By bottom heavy, of course I refer to her figure. Somewhere around her waist, her body begins to demonstrate a slightly alarming amount of muscle mass. Quite frankly, the most notable aspect of this is that her legs are /huge/ compared to her arms, moreso than you'd normally expect in a human being. Given, she already had an athletic build to begin with. Of course, she was not fully human. There was more to behold in her strangeness. Her hazel hair looked very damp, constantly, as if she'd taken a shower recently and had dried her hair just enough to stop it from dripping, but not a whole lot more. This of course made her hair look darker than it's natural color. Though it was far less visible to the eye, her skin was also slightly bit damp. She of course didn't seem to mind. Her third oddity was her mouth. Her lips were unusually wide, and if you considered the fact that she wasn't even smiling or anything like that, they seemed scarily large. If you put your imagination to it, it wouldn't be all that hard to imagine her smiling from ear to ear as the saying goes. Of course, she couldn't actually do that. She had deep blue eyes, the pupils of which constantly seemed to be dilated, and a fair, natural tan. Needless to say, she was kind of an odd one. She was currently wearing hip hugger jeans with flared lower leggings, which were of course partially undermined by the size of her lower legs. For a top, she was wearing a red short-sleeved blouse that was fairly modest in design, and a pair of running shoes, which were again pretty big. Her expression was rather bland and neutral, which shouldn't really seem odd in a library.

All in all, there wasn't any particular reason to interact with her besides her oddness and being social. At this current time she was simply quietly reading through these few pages of said book, facing the bookshelf, seemingly having tuned out the rest of the world. That is to say, even if one were to approach her, she wouldn't immediately notice until they said something attention grabbing or physically attention grabbing.

The figure of a man sat nearby at a sturdy, wooden chair. Long worn down from the many years it had endured at this very library, and the many years it had given a seat to the man who sat there now. The only movement to be known from the man was the gentle rise and fall of his shoulders and the large wings that encompassed his entire frame in a black shroud of feathers. However when the woman before him plucked a book from the broad shelf, green orbs couldn't help narrowing as a single ebony brow rose from where he sat hunched over a large book. The language of said book was ancient, as was the man reading it, even though he looked to be in his late thirties, in his prime with rippling muscles and only a bit of subtle on his features.

Using a callused hand, he ran one finger across his lips before sitting back in the chair, crossing muscular arms across his chest as he tilted his head off to the side a bit, feather's rippling from the simple motion. The man had a look of power about him, his intense emerald gaze almost commanding the attention of those who he wanted it from. Dominance rippling through his blood just as easily as his breath came to him, his head tilted upward just the fraction of a bit, yet another sign of the pride that easily showed on the arch-angel's features.

However, it was a look of calm that ran across those emerald eyes as he placed the book lightly down onto the table and stood up, reaching a good 6'2 when he stood straight. Raising both eyebrows he would walk over to the woman reading the book, wondering what a gal like her would be doing reading when it was obvious that she would make a great runner, or even a solider if she tried. Slipping his hands into the pockets of the khaki pants he wore, Rowan cleared his throat subtly. "Hello." his voice would ring through the many rows of books for a moment, easily drawing the attention of the few who also remained, however with a twitch of his wings they went back to reading their books.

Perhaps this woman would make a good conversation, or even present him with a mere look in his direction. Seeing as she was busy flipping through the book at a rapid pace, obviously looking for something in particular. If she did happen to turn around, a smile would cease his lips as his long-ago learned manors decided to kick in. The book behind him long forgotten, as the language it held was, knowing that only a few still remained who could read such script. It would still be there when, or if he turned around, unless one of the quite annoying children decided to pick it up for a game or such. For now however, he relaxed his shoulders and simply waited for her to turn around.
