I've found, in my handful of years of roleplaying, that more than five, and less than three usually makes for a less-than-appealing roleplay. Why, you ask?

Roleplays with too many players are often bogged down, with sections of people roleplaying together, like so:

A RPer and B RPer are in the cafeteria, having an argument.

C,D, and E RPer are all in the courtyard, smoking and making fun of stupid kids.

F and G are making out in the bathroom....


And so on, and so forth. I find it irritating to read so much without it having anything to do with my own character, but I read it anyway, because I don't want to miss anything important. This stresses me out, but I'm never sure if I'm the only one who feels this way.

Roleplays with only two people are marginally better, however you miss out on the unpredictablity of another person, often making the roleplay like writing a book. You already know what happens well before you write it, because you've plotted it out.

That, my fellow roleplayers, is why I'm looking for not one, but two, other relatively decent roleplayers to join me in a private roleplay.

I'm open for ideas, and as annoying as it is, I do have some vague standards.

I want open-minded, spontaneous, and original people. I'm looking for people with drastically different, yet not opposite characters. You need to be at least literate, and no chat speak, please. I'm not going to bash on you for mispelled words, within reason, but I'd like to rp with someone with relatively good grammatical skills.

As far as what we will roleplaying, we can toss ideas back and forth until we get a good one.


Now that I've driven you up a wall with this, anyone still want to roleplay with me?

Like I said, I'm generally open for ideas, so I'd like to just bat a few around before actually setting up a roleplay.

I have a love for surrealism that is rather unnatural, but I also like fantasy, sci-fi, general original, I'm not particularly fond of anime-based roleplays, but roleplays with an anime style are fine. Does that make sense? *chuckle*

As far as anime/manga roleplays go:

Original characters
Original settings
Possibly a style based from an anime/manga.

Like so:
(We'll do DeathNote, since I just saw a picture of it a minute ago)

There is no Kira, Light, or L.

There are shinigami, but no Ryuke (sp?) or other such character.
There are deathnotes...etc.

That's the only time I'm remotely intrigued by an anime/manga roleplay. If it's something like that, I'll probably be okay with it.

I watch anime but I personally don't like Anime based Rps they kind of bore me. But the surreal sci-fi does sound rather interesting at the moment.

Well, I'm not particular, honestly. As sad as it is, though, I have no idea what Blade Runner or Dali is. I don't watch much tv or anything.

(Well I love Final Fantasy as well) I have never heard of Bladerunner or dali. but when I think of sci-fi cybrogs just kind of popped into my head. And very interesting.

Cyborgs? Hmm.... I suppose that does sound rather intriguing. Maybe even venturing into biomechanically enhanced humans as well?

That sounds good to me. Their aren't many cyborg Rps any way. So I would like to do that.
