Looking for people for D&D Campaign ( )

Postby Sweet Angel Jocelyn on Mon Sep 28, 2009 6:13 pm

Hey all! So, my friend is making a D&D campaign, and right now, we have just about everything together, except for our team, for this online campaign.

If you are interested please PM me and we will talk about everything! Thank you!!!

You should probably post more information about it. ;)

Like edition of DnD you are using. Software you are using to play the game on. What it is about. Etc etc. ^^
Meh.

Oooh, a free bump for you! I would love to know which edition you're using first though.

True true. Thank you, Ponats. ^.^

It's on Maptools, the newest version, which can be found on RPtools.net. Edition 3.5, with character sheets on carpedm.

ACTIVITY IS A MUST.

I think that's everything... It's a brand new campaign.

Ah maptools. Such a lovely program. And good choice of 3.5e.

But I know maptools have integrated voice options, is that a must? If anyone is like me, they hate using the mic. xD

I would love to join, but I should warn you that the last two attempts at something like this very quickly ended in zero activity. I'm not saying that it's inevitable, but I wouldn't want to see someone else go to so much work like the last two DMs did, and then just have all the players simply disappear. Well, not all of them, since I've been around, and apparently Ponats is still here too, but it just takes one essential player leaving to screw everything up.

But, like I said, I'm up for joining

Okay, wow. We have more people than I thought. We really only need three people and we got five. XD Okay, okay, I need to think... But nobody else apply, please.

DM here ^^
Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting and it's set in Faerun, in Amn - Umar Hills to be precise. Though it's my take on Umar Hills - it's not at all like it was in Baldur's Gate II. The characters would start out at level 1, and no mic required. I don't use the Maptools chat-function, I have a Ventrilo server though I don't expect us to use it.

I really can't answer that, see my hope is that we get people that are SO active, that they're just regularly on and we can pull a session together out of thin air. But if we have to set specific times and dates then I really don't know. It's the kind of thing you have to discuss with everyone, and I'd like to get everyone in a chatroom or something or hopefully on the Maptools server in order to find out what everyone's best time is.

I really don't want to do a once a week thing because it's a long time between sessions, it ends up taking up a whole weekend day and on top of it you forget things from one session to the next. If we could do it two or three times a week for two to three hours, give or take an hour depending on whether people have other things to do. We'd do it like that. So I guess what I'm saying is - no clue ^^;

I might not be able to live up to the level of activity you want, anyway. At least, not for very long. My college schedule is going to start eating up more time from now on.

Well, would you like to bow out? we would still like you, but if you are going to be busy we understand that. Your school work is more important ^.^ I leave it up to you, however.

I think it'd be best if I stepped down and watched the proceedings. However, I'll be around if you suddenly find yourself missing a player for whatever reason, and I'll try to pick up the slack. So, I'll basically be a bench warmer for the time being.

Alright, Fiend. Well, you will be the first person we come to if we lose someone. Thank you for showing interest. ^.^

Awww, Fiend... you don't have to drop out if you don't wanna...

I'ma look up the Faerun stuff, since I've only played in that setting once. ^^; Does anyone have a suggestion as to what I should play?

If y'all want me that badly... I suppose I could take part. I'm guessing that we won't be playing on this site directly, so, what exactly will I need to download? Maptools, or whatever it's called is one thing, right?

Also, because of that, I should warn you all that my computer is more unstable than Iraq right now, so if I suddenly disappear in the middle of a session, it's because my system crashed. If I'm not back in 10-20 minutes, I won't be back for a couple hours. You see, my computer goes into "fits" of Blue Screens, where it won't even get to the desktop without crashing again for quite some time. I've even gotten over sixty (60!) Blue Screens in a single day.

Though I'm sure none of you care about my computer problems beyond the fact that it may interrupt a session every now and then, so that's the main point. I apologize in advance for this. And yes, mine is the only computer I can use.
