…..We’ll rest in our graves…..Name:
Derrick Blake "Tripp" Kellis

Age:
Seventeen
Personality:
Derrick is one of those kinds of people who smiles even though he’s completely miserable. He has learned a lot from his family, and knows to be the exact opposite of him. Derrick is shy, sensitive, angsty, and protective of his friends since they're really all he has. He's really your typical emo kid.
Gender:
Male
Bio:
….. Is this a life left just to remember…..Derrick Blake Kallis was born on the cold, snowy morning of November 5th, 1992 to 18 year old Elizabeth Kellis. His father was 21 year old Robert Draven, but Derrick would never met him. Elizabeth already had two children, a 4 year old boy named River and a 2 year old girl named Caden; both only half siblings. Elizabeth wasn’t really a one person relationship kind of girl, or really any kind of relationship. She had been a prostitute since she was 14 and was lucky to only had three kids. River and Caden were Elizabeth’s angels, their father men she had loved since middle school. But this crying, drooling mass in her arms now? No, he was a mistake; something that never should’ve happened. No, Derrick was certainly a horrible, cruel, irreversible blunder in Elizabeth’s mind.
…..Burning down Neverland, scatter the ashes…..Five years old and watching his mom hold a lighter to a piece of glass that she had the other end to her face and would inhale the fumes coming from it, Derrick looked at his mom. She wasn’t anywhere near as pretty as she had been a couple years ago; her hair and teeth falling out and sores were covering her body. The woman glanced at her son with harsh eyes. “This is your fault you sorry excuse of a boy. If you hadn’t have been born, I could be out making money,” she hissed. Derrick winced and ducked his head, looking to the floor. “Mommy? C-can you finish reading me Peter Pan? I want to know what happens to Wendy and her brother in Neverland,” he murmured, risking a look at his mom with pleading blue eyes. She scoffed a laugh and shook her head, “I haven’t read that to you since you were in a crib.” But she didn’t know that Derrick often sat and listened to their mom read it to his half siblings. “Look, long story short Wendy, John, and Michael leave Neverland because they don’t want to forget their parents. Happy?” Derrick sighed and hung his head in sorrow. “I hope Peter isn’t sad. And I hope he can find a new adventure.” River snorted, “Do you think that story is real, stupid?” Derrick looked at him in curiosity, “Well, of course. Why?” River snickered. “Wow, and I bet you think that fairies exist too.” Derrick nodded. “Oh yeah? Well, in that case…. There’s no such thing as fairies, there’s no such thing as fairies, there’s no such thing as fairies, there’s no such thing as fairies, there’s no such thing as fairies,” River chanted. “No, stop it! You’re killing them,” Derrick sobbed. River rolled his eyes, “There’s no such thing as fairies, Peter Pan, or Neverland, you little wuss.” Derrick was stunned but he believed it; afterall, River never lied.
…..Bad turns to worse and the worse turns into hell…..Sirens wailed and a family of six stood on the street, staring at the flames engulfing their home. Someone landed a blow on the back of a nine year old boy’s head. “Ow! Hey, what’d I do?” demanded Derrick, rubbing his head. “You see what happens when you play with fire you little shit?! Jesus, everything we own is gone all because of you! You could’ve killed someone!” His mother glared hard, holding River, Caden, and their half-sister Marley closely. Marley was only 5 and a half years younger than Derrick. Their step-dad, Erik, put an arm over Elizabeth’s shoulders and scowled at the little boy. Of course, this man knew Derrick was innocent of this and every other thing his family blamed him for and usually it was Caden or River who was guilty, but did he tell anyone? No. Erik always went along and let the other three be his angels. “Next time, just do us all a favor and stay in the house,” River muttered darkly, eyes wide from the excitement from when he had accidently caught the curtains then the couch on fire; luckily he just seemed shocked. “Just leave. I never want to see your face again. That’s right, go,” Elizabeth barked, pulling her hand back to smack Derrick. Derrick turned and ran, glancing back from time to time to look at his family.
…..They lied when they said the good die young…..“Trip,” River snorted, watching a ten year old Derrick land face first on the ground once again. Derrick got up and sighed, walking between his half siblings with Marley trotting along behind. “Trip,” Caden giggled, stick her leg out and tripping her half brother. The three laughed at him as he got up and sat on his knees. “Trip, trip, trip, trip, trip,” Marley sang shoving Derrick with all her strength back into the ground. “C’mon, Tripp! Are you coming or are you just gonna sit there?” River taunted, walking with Caden through the foggy cemetery. Marley stopped and imitated her oldest brother, “Yeah, Tripp! C’mon!” Tripp had become a big thing with Derrick lately; a lot of people would just trip him as he walked by, and he always heard them deeply croak the trademark “trip” under their breath with a smirk. Derrick stood up and jogged after his siblings. They stopped and looked into a freshly dug grave, the smell of the moist dirt think and intoxicating. “How deep do you think it is?” Caden whispered. “I dunno. Hey, Tripp, why don’t you write us a postcard when you get to the bottom?” River snickered and pushed Derrick into the deep hole. Derrick screamed and landed with a thud. “Guys, that isn’t funny! Get me out!” River looked at Caden and Marley before back into the pit where Derrick was, “Have a nice trip, Tripp!” He said something to the others and they walked away. “Guys, no! Come back, this isn’t funny! Come on, get me out of here,” Derrick plead.
…..Tell ‘em who you are, who you really were…..“Hey, Tripp, guess what. C’mon, guess what, Tripp. I bet you can’t guess what because you’re so
stupid! C’mon guess,” River pestered his little brother. Twelve year old Derrick sighed, looking at his brother with zero interest, “River, ‘come on’ is two words, not one. And I don’t know.” River snorted and thought for a second, “You’re stupid, Tripp.” Derrick glanced back out the window boredly.
No, you are the stupid one River; a 7th grade drop out that was held back two years. Me? I’ve skipped a grade and I’m in all of the honors classes. But do any of you care? No. I bring home an A, no one cares but when Caden brings come the rare C and even more rare B, you take every but me out for ice cream. But, such is life. Derrick was mutually careless, especially about the current situation. They were moving to a new house that had just been built. Was he expecting things to be different? No, not really. He would have his own room now but it was small and in the basement; but he didn’t think his family would change, or how others treated him after they saw how his family did. The car stopping in front of a house and the six climbed out, examining it with awe. Derrick grunted as River shoved him to the ground and walked with the others into the house. Derrick sighed and rolled over onto his back, looking up at the cloudless sky. This looked like it was going to be the beginning of a great new start in a new home… For everyone except, of course, for Derrick.
Appearance:
…..Fashion statement suicide…..Derrick stands at 5'9" inches and weighs 136 lbs. He has little body weight or muscle so he isn't really a physical threat to anyone. He has medium length black hair that almost always hangs in his dark blue eyes, which are always thickly rimmed with eyeliner. He has a snake bite in his bottom lip and his left eyebrow is pierced. There is a tattoo of exotic red flowers underlying a crystal with a banner that says Addled on his upper arm and one of a large skull on his inner elbow, both tattoos are on his right arm. Derrick mostly wears dark blue or grey skinny jeans, printed tee-shirts, and converse.
