"Don't worry, I'll keep you warm if you get cold," he said with a playful grin on his face as she slowly lowered herself into the water. Connor couldn't help but picture what she would eventually look like, when she was further into the pregnancy, but quickly shook the thought from his head. Right now, he needed to focus on cheering his girlfriend up and getting her mind off of their current situation. Besides, he knew he would love Zoe, no matter what her body looked like.
Without warning, Connor dove back under water and swam towards Zoe, grabbing her leg lightly before pulling her under with him. He hadn't turned the pool lights on before he got on, so it was too dark to see anything other than dull shapes underwater, not that he was complaining. Connor let his hands do the seeing for him, trailing them up her sides so he could get a light grip on her waist and the back of her neck, pulling her roughly through the water and to him. Thankfully, Connor was a swimmer in high school, so he could hold his breath longer then most people, he just hoped that Zoe could do the same, or at least almost the same.
Holding onto her, he let his lips slightly brush against her neck, then her ear, her cheek, and finally her lips. But instead of of kissing Zoe, he let go of her and briskly swam away, into the deeper part of the pool, resurfacing a few seconds later, his breathing light, his smile devious.
