... Now it is the year 2251, and technology is at it's peak. Mirrors Edge graphics can be seen everywhere, and everyone has technological implants now. These implants can do many things, including making you smarter, faster, more agile, and even to allow you to access computers...

Lately the city of Shura has been undergoing a high increase in crime, mainly in the areas of the South. The use of Physical implantations and Modifications has led to a severe rise in the amount of deaths in the North.

The North is currently looking for Volunteers to test out new control technology to defend the North.--

Hsien began to plant the explosives on walls near to a bridge which fed certain supplies to the north,he began to input a code, humming softly.

Team-mate:"Hurry it up pip squeak"

Hsien shooshed the man,turning a dial slowly.

"...This aint a job you want to try."

He said,moving away from the bomb,getting behind a cover, About to detonate the charge so the bridge would collaspe, it would be a deep blow onto the north, which they so horrribly deserved.

He began to input a code into the detonater as a clearence code.

Layss adjusted her scope vision to see more clearly her intended target. She didn't know who the guy was, nor did she care. She was hired only for the skills she had, and she didn't get paid to worry over the dead. Or soon to be dead. She waited for another moment, until the man moved an inch to the left, making her shot perfect. She pulled the trigger on her silenced rifle. The glass in the man's window shattered and he fell over dead, blood oozing from the hole in his head.

She laughed. It always made her laugh to see a face without a nose. She quickly put her rifle away and sprinted down the top flight of stairs to the ground level, then calmly left the building. Her rifle was packed away in a case, which she had then put into a sack on her shoulders. No one ever guess that it was her who had killed one of the top bosses of the North.

Hsien put in one more digit,the bridge exploded,debree falling into many places,one peice hitting him on the head,he rubbed the spot.

"heee....Ahhhh that one hurt.."

He said,as he stood up,walking away from the destruction, very bored and lonely now, He brought out his PDA Notepad, beginning to type on it,all the relevant data which he had used in the detonation.

After many moment he mumbled...

"..Fuck...I messed it up.."

He got slightly angered,clearing the notepad,and re-writing it all out,once he was finished ,he put the PDA in his back jean pocket,stretching a bit, the top of his boxers/abdomin clearly seen,it was quite cute.

Horus finished the last of his reps. Placing the massive weights back on the cradle. Sweat poured off his body and he grabbed a towel to wipe himself off. As he reached for his water bottle he surveyed the room. This early in the morning there were few people in the gym. The door at the opposite end opened and in walked a courier. He spotted him across the room and made his way over to him hurriedly. Stopping smartly and saluting.

"Excuse me sir, there's more trouble in the north. The colonel wants to brief you in 20."

Returning the salute Horus grabbed the data pad he was handed and reviewed the details. Another bridge in the north sectors was blown. Intelligence had something to work with and he was going to be deployed.

"Excellent. Your dismissed." The runner saluted and turned sharply to leave. "One more thing. Wake up Silver team before returning to your duties." Another salute and the runner disappeared into the complex.

Horus walked quickly to shower and change into his uniform. All the while checking and rechecking the details on this new development. He arrived at the colonels office exactly one minutes before the hour and knocked.

"Come in Kinsey." He heard through the door. He entered and saluted. "Sit down Kinsey and I'll fill you in on your mission."

Hsien went to the secondary bridge, same task,but he wanted to do this one alone,so he dismissed his teamate.

He began to attach the explosives to the pillars, humming a soft tune, an alarm began to go off,he had to work fast.

"Ahhh hell!CMON!..."

He muttered,beginning to run about,trying to set up all the explosives before the police department managed to get ahold of him.

Inputing the codes using both hands now,to save time.

He coughed slightly from the debree cloud of the last bridge, beginning to worry slightly about whether he would be able to attach enough explosives to the bridge in time.

After a few moments he began to move away from the bridge,beginning the detination code sequence,this one,he had to take slowly, a thirty second wait per number,which caused him trouble.

He didnt want to be caught anytime soon.

Horus left the briefing and found his men in the barracks preparing their equipment. Four other men made up his kill team. His second in command Woody Harrison came up to him.

"So what's the job boss?"

"We're deploying immediately by helo to the north sector. We're to take up a strategic position to intercept potential hostiles as they flee a recent series of bridge bombings. We're backing up the police on this one, lending our heavy guns in case the situation get's hot. Grab your gear and move out."

A chorus of affirmatives greeted him as his men grabbed rifles and vests and sped past him. Horus himself dug into his own locker, pulling his tactical vest out and punching in a code, unlocked the weapons locker containing his three barreled gatling gun. Hefting the 150lb gun easily over one shoulder and pulling the ammunition backpack over the other, he jogged after his men to the rooftop. Boarding the helicopter last they set off towards the smoke and fire in the distance. Hopefully the police will slow them down just long enough for his boys to get a shot off.

Hsien entered one more digit and the second bridge exploded in a flurry of smoke and debree,he smiled,alone beginning to walk away from the wreckage,slowly,humming De Votcha-"How it ends".

He giggled slightly,pulling out his PDA as he walked again,adding up all the data relevant to the explosions. He put his PDA away after moment of tinkering,slowly marching onwards,happy with his days work.

"This..definatley is too fun."

He mumbled with a lot of zealous in his voice at the time.

Layss looked up as helo was passing by over head and she laughed. I wonder if that kid's got time to move out of there before he gets caught. She shook her head as she continued to move. That kid can be crazy sometimes.

She ducked into an alleyway and jumped up onto the stairway there. She climbed to the top, just peeking her head above the roof. The helo was still in range, and she took out her rifle and assembled it again, making sure to use the silencer.

She put the gun to her shoulder and put her eye to the sights on the gun, using her scope sight to zoom in on the helo. If I shoot the tail, it will spin out of control...Any other shot could be worthless, she thought to herself. She sighted in on the tail blades and shot, causing the tail to malfunction.

She smiled then ducked out of sight again, putting the gun away and hiding it in her bag again before climbing down the stairs and hiding among the crowd of people on the streets.

"Bail out!" Kinsey yelled over the sounds of sirens and metal tearing. Immediately the five men leaped from the stricken helicopter, falling almost twenty meters to the ground. He landed hard, his implant augmenting his already massive muscles, they flexed and bulged, absorbing the impact of almost 400lbs hitting the rooftop. He stayed crouched like this, immediately scanning the other rooftops for signs of the sniper. He didn't expect to see any, but mistakes could always be made by the enemy. Around him, his four other men landed similarly. Corporal Holmes didn't make such a successful landing and was down, clutching his shattered leg. To his credit he didn't scream, just gathered a weapon with his free hand and did what he could to cover his arc. Behind him the helicopter managed a crash landing on another rooftop, caving in the top two floors and starting a blaze.

"Anyone managed to trace that shot?" He asked through the comm. A series of negatives replied. "Alright. Bastion, get Holmes and lets get inside of this building. The rest of us, take up 360. Keep yourselves small. I don't want one of us to have to test out this new body armor today." Smoothly the team moved as one, weapons following their eyes as they did the best they could with their augments to pick out signs of the enemy. If this sniper was worth anything there wouldn't be anything to see. They had to get off this rooftop.

Kinsey switched his comm over to command and reported. "Zero this is Silver. Sniper attack. Helo down, one injury to team. Consolidating at grid 2-1-1-6-5-8-4-9 Dawson Corporate building. Out"

Hsien looked behind,seeing the downed helicopter,he turned back forward,putting away his PDA,and began to sprint,hoping to have an easy getaway.

`Didnt suppose they would be so fast` he thought.

He was in an open area,hopefully once he got to all the back alleys and such he could escape for good,but for the moment he was in serious danger of being caught, He began to fiddle about in his sleeves lookign for something whilst he was running.

"Cmon..where are they." he muttered under his breath finding it troublesome to find his little toy.

"Silver this is Zero." Kinsey's comm came to life. "New intel showing insurgence are fleeing. Move to grid 2012-5540 and intercept. Local authorities are attempting a cordon now. Over." Kinsey checked his mental map for the grid reference and nodded to himself.

"Zero, Silver. Affirmative, Moving now. Out." Kinsey looked over to his team as they propped Holmes up against an office desk. The building was just recently evacuated due to the fire across the way. "Alright team. Let's get to ground. Holmes, you'll be medevaced once downstairs. The rest of us will be moving to intercept the insurgence that just blew up that bridge. Move." The team made good time downstairs. Each of them eying the windows suspiciously, expecting more sniper fire at any moment.

At the ground floor the team left Holmes with a paramedic while the rest took off at a run towards the intercept point. Kinsey rechecked his weapon feed on the run. He wanted to make sure it would shoot when he wanted it to. The particular model of gun he had was prone to jamming but the firepower it could lay down and diligent maintenance offset that. Bastion took point, leading the team fluidly through the city hustle and bustle. Civilians knew better than to get in the way of armed soldiers anyway. Ahead Kinsey spotted someone through an alleyway darting across the gap through the back alleys. That would be his quarry.

"Step it out!" He yelled. "Target one o'clock, in the back alleys." Safeties clicked off as everyone readied themselves for immediate contact. Switching their formation to a line across. All the better to lay down more firepower on target. Then the target showed himself briefly again through another alleyway. Harrison snapped off a quick shot but it wasn't aimed well and only impacted brick.

Hsien sqeaked a bit as he heard the bullet ricochet,he kept running onward,seeing the hulk of a man behind him.

"Cmon!come get me!"

He shouted back to him,Beginning to run on the tips of his toes,making him even faster,He aimed one of his arms backwards,not looking,Bullets came spraying out of it,from inside the sleeve,he hoped some would hit the man which may slow him down,But the accuracy of his gun made it useless unless it was close range.

As Harrison rounded the corner after their target he was hit immediately by a spray of gunfire. The small caliber rounds were in no danger of penetrating his protective body armor but several of the shots impacted his arm and one blasted open the side of his neck. He fell, clutching the severed artery. Kinsey ran right past him, stepping into the alleyway with his gun already spinning up to fire. The narrow corridor would offer him no chance of dodging the impending storm of bullets. But as he squeezed the trigger the gun torqued upwards as the mechanism jammed solid.

"Damn it! Bastion take care of Harrison. Chan, with me." Kinsey yelled, immediately dropping the weapon and backpack, he took off at a sprint, drawing his sidearm as he did. His enhancements kicked in, propelling his legs to no longer run, but make exaggerated leaps towards his target. Behind him Chan triggered his own accelerators to keep up. They were rapidly closing the distance now. His comm beeped.

"Silver this is Zero. Priority change of ROE, capture. Over."

"New plan, they want him alive." He relayed his team. He dropped his sidearms magazine and loaded another, filled with stun rounds. "Affirmative Zero. Out." Racking the slide and linking the weapon to his eye he took aim at his prey ahead.

Hearing shouts then a gunshot, Layss ducked into another alley and walked to the edge of the building, peeking around the side. She saw someone running her way. Judging from the shouts, the one doing the yelling was following him. Shit! They're on him, she thought to herself. She groaned and ducked her head back before she could be seen. Hsien ran past her, nearly shooting her with his blind aim and she ducked down before she was shot.

She glared at him for a second before poking her head carefully around the corner. She judged the distance, ducked back and began counting while taking out a dagger with her left hand. She heard the footsteps of one soldier quickly getting nearer. 2...1...NOW! Just before the guy passed by the alley, she jumped out and wrapped her right arm around his throat, bringing her left hand and dagger to his back below the ribs.

Hsien picked up speed,dashing around a corner,jumping onto a wall,he wall ran upwards,near to the end of the wallrun,he grabbed the ledge, pulling himself up onto the rooftop,he began to run and maneuver himself around all the air ventalation ducts.

He slipped up on a wierd substands,going face first into the roof.

"I...tai.."

He mumbled to himself,attempting to get back up,coughign a bit,the substance had a wierd odour to it, he felt out of breath slightly,but continued to run onward, there was an officer infront of him,Out of his sleeve came a steel basebat,he charged at the officer who managed tos hoot him in the shoulder,the oppisite one to which he was holding the bat.

Hsien jumped up into the air slightly,and whacked the bat over the officers head,knocking him out,as soon as he finished this he stuffed the bat back into his sleeve,and attempted to get further away.

Kinsey didn't see the girl until the last minute and suddenly was thrown violently off course. A dagger jabbed into his back. The body armor might protect him. It didn't have to. Chan was following closely and immediately responded to the girl, cracking her in the back of the skull with the butt of his rifle. Kinsey watched as his quarry turned another corner and escaped from his line of sight. He didn't have the manpower now to chase after him. He had to deal with this girl now. He turned around and covered Chan as he began to strip the girl of her weapons and secure her arms with a pair of flexcuffs. Satisfied she wasn't going to be a problem anymore Kinsey hauled her up with one arm and carried her with Chan covering down the alleyway again. The two made their way back to Bastion who looked up at him.

"He's dead boss. Bled out too quickly." Indicating Harrison who was now pale white, covered in red.

"Goddmanit!" Kinsey slammed his fist into the building side. He quickly considered his options, feeling the girls weight on his shoulder. "Alright. This little bitch is going to answer my questions first. Chan, come with me. We're going to safe house delta. Bastion, radio in and get Harrison back to camp. We'll meet you back at the house when your done."

Kinsey and Chan both jogged off towards the house. He had a few safe houses set up under the radar of command for just such occurrences as this.

Hsien watched the two bulking lumps take away Layss,he hummed to himself.

"Should she be expecting me to save her?...I wonder.."

He coughed quite a bit,the substances fumes still in him from before,his heaqd was banging,it hurt quite a bit.

He was suprised that no one had come after him though,he atleast expected a few officers to give a bit more of a chase,in his boredom he got out his PDA again,listening to music softly.

The music was Heist by Ben Folds,a suttle song.

Layss allowed them to take her, struggling only enough to seem like a girl without such great agility. Although getting caught was NOT on her agenda, she could work with it.

"...We're going to safe house delta. Bastion, radio in and get Harrison back to camp. We'll meet you back at the house when your done."

A safehouse, huh? That should be good intel for the boss, she thought, now hauled up on the guys shoulder. It was a very uncomfortable position, but she didn't say anything. She would wait until she knew for certain she was at this so called safe-house.

Down the street and into the subway system they went. Civilians were afraid of the goings on up top and had mostly vacated the streets. The few that remained wouldn't question two armed soldiers carrying a prisoner. The two opened a door to a maintenance room and went inside. Pushing aside the fridge in one corner revealed a trap door which Chan opened and nimbly dropped down inside. Handing the girl down to him they entered the dark room below. Kinsey rolling the fridge back over the trap door before securing the hatch behind him. A light flicked on revealing a square room not ten meters on a side. The walls were bare cinder block with weapons, ration packs and desks with documents along them. Chan secured the prisoner to a sturdy steel chair in the center of the room. Replacing the flex cuffs with steel ones. She still looked limp but was waking up slowly now it appeared. Chan finished and nodded to Kinsey who considered how to proceed.

Standard procedure dictated he should have handed her over to the police and let them deal with it. But Kinsey wasn't without his own skills in interrogation. He needed to know who that man was and how he could find him. He killed one of his men. And that sniper that started all this. Who was that?

Kinsey removed his combat gloves and put on a pair of surgical ones instead. Chan had backed off into a corner out of her reach and rechecked his weapon, makings sure a stun round was chambered, just in case. Kinsey leaned into towards the prisoner now. Gently slapping her cheeks to speed her recovery.

"Hey, little one. I have some questions for you..."

Hsien sat on the edge of a rooftop overlooking the city, bored,just searching through his PDA, He hadnt much to do,His partner gone,No where to be found,And for some reason,He got off free, Like the officers didnt even care about catching him.

He sneezed slightly as it was getting cold outside,it always got cold in the city at night, especially higher up where the place had less air.

Apart from blowing the bridges up,today was quite boring.

He expected more of the police aswell.
