Lycanthropy [IC] ( )

Franklin was in the nighthawk facility.
It was a large underground lab below an abandoned warehouse. It housed many Lycan prisoners and test subjects as well as serving as a base of operations. Franklin was in the cage. A combat training area where the Nighthawks fought against Lycans.
Franklin was going against a large, white-coated werewolf with blood red eyes filled with the hunger for blood. Franklin held only a combat knife as he circled his opponent.
The werewolf launched a claw towards his face and he stabbed his knife through the palm with lightning speed. He reached down to his pocket and pulled out a small knife before jamming into into the beasts' neck and pushing it forward into the cage wall. A juicy buzzing sound was heard as smoke rose from the werewolf's back. The walls constantly had a few thousand volts going through them at all times. Just in case. Franklin pulled his knifes out and walked to the door of the cage.
"lemme out. I'm done." He shouted and the door opened. He stepped out and it closed behind him. The smell of burning fur was everywhere at this point. Franklin walked towards his room and passed another Nighthawk as he did. He forced his shoulder into her,
"hey melody," He said with a smirk, "Jus' had a toast with one of our guests." He began laughing and entered his room.

Saul was busy cleaning a table in his cafe, watching the people walk by in the mall. His mind was drifting onto various thoughts as he happily hummed. He sighed and sat on next to the table he just cleaned. One of the workers, peggy, walked up to Saul,
"Hey, you want a coffee or anything?" She said with a smile,
"No, thanks. I'm just gonna sit here." He replied, eyes darting from every person who looked sixteen or over.
"Man, whatever you look at all day must sure be important. Lemme know if you want that coffee." And with that, peggy was gone. Happily cleaning tables and making the odd customer a coffee.
Nothing, he sensed nothing. Not a single smell, not a single little feeling. Another day and he was alone as a Lycan. Though he would still, everyday, sit and watch. Sit and wait. For that other Lycan to walk by.

Melody turned and glared at Franklin, trying to keep her temper at a point were she could control it. She hated how he tortured the poor beasts. She walked to the cell were they were picking up the dead lycan from the floor, "Poor guy, never had a chance." She mumbled before walking off.

Sure, it was true that some of the Lycans only cared about killing, but did that mean they were all like that? She wished she knew for certain, but would never know until she met one and actally got to talk to it without it attacking her.
She sighed and walked past cells, looking at all the sad looking Lycans, some in human form, and some in wolf form.

She placed her hand on one of the cells glass, but the wolf in it pounced at the glass, getting shocked, "I wouldn't blame you for trying to kill me..." She said quietly, then left.

Walking into the cafe Lucas sat down slowly, his eyes darting around panickly. He looked at the door planning his escape route if he needed one. Running his fingers through his hair he breathed out shakily. He was so tired, he had changed the night before and didnt change back untill the early hours of the morning. The grumbling in his stomach made his aware of how hungry he was padding his pockets he sighed deeply as he realised he hand no money. Groaning he looked around the cafe again rubbing his eyes as they were painful and possibly red. Groaning quielty he rested his head on his hand closing his eyes slowly.

Saul's eyes flickered with an energy he hadn't yet felt. He smelled something, a familiar smell. It was that smell. The one he waited for so patiently.
Saul walked over to the new customer, "excuse me?... Excuse me... Uhm... Are you okay?" He asked not sure if what he felt was real. Afterall he had been waiting in this deadend town for years now. A large chunk of his life was wasted waited for someone else, another Lycan. But this boy, had to be one. He looked like he had been up all night drinking or worse, his eyes were bloodshot, his stomach empty, and his body looked exhausted. All the classic signs of someone who's body is still getting used to changing. If Saul was right he may be able to teach this boy how to master the Lycanthropy and if this boy has the gene, how many more are there? Saul had a logical and thought through things with statistics and the stats said that the chances of a Lycan being in a town raise 35% with each Lycan you'd find. Meaning Saul had a 70% chance of finding a third Lycan. Now there was him and this young man. Him and another Lycan. Him and a brother.

Lucas jumped out of his skin as a voice rang through his ears. Looking around again he nodded quickly before speaking his voice raw "yes..i'm fine...can i get something to eat please i dont care what it is i just need something to eat" his voice mumbling slightly. Sniffing he looked up at the person who spoke strange smeel hit his nostrils. Groaning he rubbed his eyes slowly and temples. A pulsing headache was now adding to his list of problems.

Breathing in and out shakily he continued to rub his head.

Dim walked slowly through the mall, somewhat out of it. He looked at the floor as he walked down the corridor in the mall. He bumped into someone on his way. They pushed him aside and he looked up to see where he was. He spotted a cafe on the side of the corridor. Dim felt his stomach growl in hunger and he gripped it to hope it would stop. He entered the cafe and felt a scent hit his nose. He felt it was famaliar in a way, but he tried to ignore it, sitting in a seat at one of the tables. Rubbing his fingers nervously he looked over at the other two. One looked very rugged and a bit nervous. The other looked older and expierenced, a bit more calm. But that was where the scent came from.

Saul smiled, he knew the exact recipe. He knew what to make, and for lack of a better word, he was sure the boy would wolf it down.
He disappeared into the kitchen in the back and soon came back with a plate, covered with another plate. He sat the plate down on the table. He didn't set a single fork or knife down, but that was the nature of this meal.
Saul lifted the top plate and revealed a nice big, slab of raw meat. He took a salt shaker from his pocket and salted the meat heavily.
Saul smiled and sat at the table rest his face on his knuckle, a finger lifted up to his lips in anticipation. Just as he watched the young man a spark clicked in his head. IT couldn't be. It just couldn't. But it was. Something shouted at every sense he had within his body that in the cafe a third Lycan sat. Young as the other. Saul slowly looked over and noticed the young man. His ear was pricking up a little and his eyes widened as the smell of Lycans grew strong.

Heaven sat in the corner of her cell curled up and starving. She refused to let the wolf inside her go fearing she will lose herself. She heard a woman walking down he hall and thought nothing of it. She could hear the foot steps getting closer and closer. Heaven then started to cry hoping they were going to leave her alone this time, she had gone through so much torture and she didn't know how much more she could take. It's been one month since she was captured, that's 30 days or torture. Heaven figured they only kept her so long because she was a soldier and they could have more fun with her, she was stronger then most and wouldn't die so easily and she was trained but even then she feared stepping into the ring with Franklin. The day she went against him would be the day she died and she knew it.

Lucas eyes sparkled with delight as a slab of meat. Grabbing it with his hands he bit into it hungrily tearing out a huge chunk closing his eyes as he ate. Finishing it quickly he felt his hunger being satisfied, Looking back at the person who presented the meal to him. " im not going to be able to pay for this you know. I havent got any money. How did you know i'd want this?" Lucas spoke quietly keeping his eyes on the table rubbing his hands together nervously he folded his arms tightly.

The one reason that he had no money was that he had been losing control over his wolf recently and he didn't feel safe around his parents so he ran away.

Saul smirked and leaned closely, "I'll tell you. I know because you are one of us. A Lycanthrope. A werewolf. A man, and a beast. But at the same time neither. I knew you'd want that because that's the best thing to eat. You see," He leaned back smiling, "Your body is adapting, your organs go under a lot of strain with each change, so they are going to completely change to be able to satisfy both forms. Your ribs might get a bit painful and you'll get a lot of stomach cramps. Your metabolism is going to shoot through the roof for the next few days, youll be hungry every half hour. The salted meat has everything your changing body needs, of course you'll need chicken for the protein boost. But that's easily gotten. Now then, don't worry about paying. It's free. Come back for more anytime." Saul laughed a little louder than he would have normally and quickly stifled it, "Name's Saul, And you?"

Dim sat at his table waiting to be served. He felt his stomach growl again, the sound resonating through the cafe. His senses however were still locked on the two. He watched as the man brought out a slab of meat of meat for the other one. His sense of smell went wild as he caught the smell of the meat. He calmed himself down, trying to let his stomach let go of another outburst. He watched as the guy at the table tear into the meat. He heard what he had said, confessing he couldn't pay for his meal. Dim was curious why he would come into a diner if he couldn't pay? His ears perked up at the words lychanthrope, and even more at the words werewolf. Dim tensed a bit, feeling almost obligated to leave. The way he explained the change reminded him of the pain of his first change. It reminded him of the changing back to being a human too.

"Lucas" He replied quietly. He listened intently as Saul explained everything so much more clearly to him. Rubbing his eyes again he yawned queitly "i am so tired ive been up for the last few days mainly 'cuz of changing" Lucas spoke queitly rubbing his head again. The headache was decreasing but it was still there perhaps it was the wolf trying to get out again.

((cool, i kinda do soon too,))

Saul was feeling happier than he had in a long time, "I see.. Well, It can be a real pain the first time. For lack of a better phrase. It stops hurting though, that much I can promise. The headaches will stop. And soon enough it'll be easy to change. Listen, I'm gonna have a word with that guy over there. He's been listening with as much interest as you have. And you can smell it too, can't you. He smells like us."

Saul stood and turned to Dim. He walked over and sat at his table with a polite smile, "So... Are you?... You know. One of us. You stink of it you know. You should make sure you wash about three times a day. That way dog's wont pick up your scent. I've been chased a lot of times 'cause of it."

Dim was shocked by the man's sudden appearance. He looked up at him. He nodded. "Yeah, I've tried to wash more" he said, "I noticed dogs follow me more than they used to." He was still a bit nervous about talking to him, not knowing if he was one also. However, he did share the scent he knew. Dim gripped his stomach again, surpresssing a growl. "Before we continue, could I get some food?" he asked.

Lucas nodded quickly as Saul left to talk to the other Lycan "ok" he mumbled. Watching them for a while he looked down at his hands again he was still rubbing them together nervously he didn’t know what he was going to do. Taking a deep breath he rubbed his eyes sleepily yawning again he shook his head quickly taking a large drink from a glass of water that had been given to him. Feeling light headed and so exhausted even if he did have something to eat, Lucas slumped down to the table knocking the plate which had previously held his well needed meal crashing to the floor shattering into small pieces causing a few people to jump in their seats. Lucas jolted awake for a few seconds before passing out from pure exhaustion being welcomed into that joy of sleep.

I has been a very long day at work. Abby let out a long breath and then took another deep breath in threw her nose. She works as a Bartender at O'Connor's pub, she opens the place, waits on the tables, and serves drinks until 5. Then she is free to go. It was a busy day, tiring, and one woman who just wouldn't stop complaining that her drink wasn't just right. "I should have poured the drink over her head," Abby mumbled to herself.

Continuing to walk down the street, Abby took in one more deep breath then froze. Her bright green and golden eyes snapped open then narrowed down and began to scan the area. She usually picked up a very faint scent of another Lycan, but never so many at one time. Forgetting her current path, Abby followed the scent further down the street, leading her threw the crowds of humans, until she finally came upon a small cafe. Cocking her head to the side, Abby cautiously entered and felt like a truck hit her with all the scents of Lycan's in this one tiny place.

"Wow," was all she could say as she made brief eye contact with each Lycan. Unable to handle this, and part of the fear of the Nighthawks somehow finding them, Abby turned and walked out quickly but only made it a block away before she stopped and stared back at the cafe.

Brooklyn couldn't say she was too happy with her new job...then again, her employers weren't too happy with her, either. Word had gotten out that she'd put salt in the iced tea, and the restaurant management had made her 'take the day off' so that they could decide what to do with her.

She was now walking around the mall, stopping by a cafe--it didn't look like much, but at the same time, somehow, it felt like it was the place to be. She walked in, immediately feeling a sense of belonging. The smell of rare meat hung heavy in the air. She inhaled deeply, trying to find its source.

Glancing around, she noticed a man unconscious at a table, a dirty plate lying broken on the floor. Ah, there it is. "Hmm...I think I'd like to get what he just had," she says.
Want to know more? Read the book to find out.

There's a strange man sitting on the sofa munchiwunching on lomticks of toast!

He quickly turned his head as the plate made contact with the floor. For a moment all he could hear was the glass cracking and then breaking. His senses were getting like that lately. Seeming to focus in on things as if they are all that exist. He shook his head clear and everything grew it's normal life around him. Saul hadn't noticed but he had been sniffing more rapidly as if trying to catch a scent. It was lingering, but around all these Lycans it would be impossible to tell what it was.

Saul laughed loudly and clapped his hands together as he stood with a great beaming smile upon his face. He was happier than he had ever been. For once he a true sense of belonging. As if he was part of a large family reunion.
"Okay! Alright!" He cheered a little as he walked to the door of the cafe and locked it, his eyes darting over the people outside. He pulled the blinds down and turned on the lights, giving a dim but warm atmosphere to the room. Almost like in those gangster movies in the itallin restaurants, and he half expected someone to start making offers that none could refuse.
Saul disappeared into the kitchen and brought out several plates with varying raw meats, no doubt covered in salt. The plates were sat down on a table and Saul looked around to everyone, and then realised someone had come in, someone he had just locked in. He was scared he had accidently brought the chicken in with the wolves. But luckily, as he moved closer to her he could smell the scent. That familiar scent that meant only one thing. Lycan.
"Please, sit. I'm sure you're all starving." Saul said through a smile. He then disappeared back into the kitchen and came back carrying two lare jugs of water and had something in his back pocket. Following him was a chef, his assistant, and Peggy.
Saul sat the jugs down on the table and spoke, "Don't worry, guys. They're human but... Let's just say they are helpful. When I first came into this town I didn't have much control and I damn near killed Peggy, here. Of course Gregory and his fine assistant here were at hand and came at me with a butcher's knife. Painful night. They took me in though, looked after me. They will always feed you if you need it, alright? Our kind need all the help that we can get." Saul said before his three friends vanished back into the kitchen again.

Lucas mumbled quietly as he slept a dream forming reminding him of his first tranformation. His brother had taken him to the woods so he could transform in safety. Then it began a searing hot white pain coursing through his viens he could feel his chest expanding almost like the wolf was going to dive right through him. After what seemed like hours of unbearable tourture he finnaly changed. The morning after was one of the worst he had ever had his body was so sore he could barely move.

Snapping back to reality Lucas woke up again but he imeadeatly regreted it. Groaning quitly again he planned to lie down on the two chairs that were by him but he found himself on the floor. Sighing to himself he would have got up straight away ut he was just...so tired.

Saul looked at the other's, "So... You're all Lycans. Like me. And you're all quite young so I can't imagine many of you can controll the wolf yet. Now, mr. sleepy here, probably hasn't been awoken for very long. What I mean is, he isn't used to changing yet. His body is going through a lot of shock, and he'll be in pain for a few hours. But what he doesn't know, is there is a way to overcome that." Saul pulled out a chair and sat on it, keeping his view on the others. "If any of you get hungry, please, feel free to eat all that meat i brought through." Saul then reached into his pack pocket and produced something wrapped in brown paper. "Can anyone guess what this is? No? Well I'll tell you. It's what makes us strong. We need it. It comes from other animals. Gives you energy, and will put your body into a sort of... over-drive. Your brain will be too busy with all the activity in the body that you'll forget your pain. It's the reason we crave this stuff. Any guesses yet?... Well I'll just show you." He ripped open the paper and revealed a large sack of a thick red liquid. It looked like it had been kept refridgerated and was beginning to cool. "Blood... Okay... Because you're all so young, this stuff is going to be extremely potent. Your senses are gonna go nuts. So don't panic if all you can smell or taste is blood. You may even begin focusing on the blood and not notice anything else, this is very common. So please, don't panic. oh! Almost forgot, if you do panic, you'll have a heart attack. Your hearts are trying to grow to the size of about a small child's head. As well as the size increasing your BMP will aswell. Right now your heart rate should be at about 100 bmp. This is okay, but... The moment you smell the blood it should shoot to about 300-400 beats per minute. Because your heart is in such a fragile state, this is the maximum it'll be able to take. A higher rate and you'll pass out. But don't worry, we have some stuff in the back that will help with that. Wolfsbane and adrenaline. The smell of wolf'sbane will calm you down, the adrenaline will pick you up to normal. Do remember to not eat wolfsbane. It's poisonous. Right then... Hope your ready... This is gonne be .... Educational." Saul smirked, looking at Lucas half-sleeping on the floor. He lifted his left thumb and the fingernail grew long, and sharp. He tore open the blood-pack and instantly the smell was everywhere.
