As the ambulance took him away, I had hopped in too, since I no longer had a usable police car, for now. Walking into the hospital, I saw the same people from earlier, and shook my head, this was a small world. Flashing my badge, I got to the third floor, where the ER was located, and found them wheeling him in. Standing to the side, I watched as they began stitching him up, the doctors talking to each other, quietly.
"Is he going to be okay?", I asked, looking at them.
"He should be fine, once he is stabilized, but right now, he's hovering between life and death", they replied, going back down to their work.
Sighing, I walked out the door, and down the stairs, where I sat in the lobby, waiting to see what would happen to him.
