PLOT
A group of friends, all guys between the ages of 16 and 20, go hiking in a remote forest. Their hopes are high, each of them excited for different reasons. Some for getting away from everyday life, others for taking some time with nature, and others just for spending time in the middle of nowhere with friends and goofing off.
They spend their first day hiking in search of a good spot to camp for the night. They've been hiking without the use of their map or compass yet, to guarantee they find somewhere deep in the forest. When they go to check where they are, however, they find both map and compass gone. It's getting dark. Tensions raise, but the group stays calm. "Hey, it couldn't get worse. We'll settle down for the night once we get to a good clearing." Then it starts to storm. First comes the rain, a drizzle at first, but within minutes a downpour; then thunder, and finally lightning. The group gets their raincoats on. They're on edge now.
In a flash of lightning, the silhouette of a tall, castle-like structure in the distance can be seen. They decide to head there; any building would provide much better shelter from this storm than their tents. Though the place seems spooky and they can't help but think of old horror movies playing out this same scenario, they know it's their best option. What they don't know is that this is Nocturnus Manor, and that the family who dwells in it can't wait to have them for dinner.
RULES
- Literacy, AT LEAST a good-quality paragraph per post, grammar and spelling and whatnot.
- No Mary Sues/Gary Stus. I'll be keeping a close eye on this. ~_~
- No God-Moding or making a super powerful character. Any vampire older than 500 needs my permission; I'd want to know their era and culture of origin.
- Two characters allowed per person, though one must be of the other species(so you have one vampire and one human character)
- PG-13; romance, swearing, violence allowed but not to extremes.
- All sexualities will be allowed. Thus, although all humans must be male and all vampires must be female(aside from the master vampire, who will be played by me), the guys can be gay or bi and the girls can be lesbian or bi. Just don't make them all homosexual, 'cuz then there would be no vampire x human romance. D:
- Just about all OoC should happen here. Whatever minor OoC happens in the roleplay should be made evident, by ( )s or [ ]s, etc.
- I'd like to try maintaining an order of posts, so that two people who have more time than others can't get wayyyy ahead of everyone else in the roleplay. If you're going to be absent for a period of time(like, more than 3 days) let us know here so we can keep going without you.
- Like I mentioned in the interest check, all vampires will share the last name Nekhsef. Up to you if you want to bother including that in your template. xD
- Also stated in the interest check, these vampires are NON-TWILIGHT. They're burned by sunlight and holy things, aside from that they heal fast. They have super strength, speed, and senses. They have a reflection, aren't affected by garlic, and can cross running water just fine. The older they are, the more powerful; the more sunlight and holy things burn, but the stronger and faster and keener they are. Other abilities may come into play as well, such as telepathy, persuasion, hypnosis(as in to sleep), taking the form of a shadow, phasing through solid things, and being able to shapeshift into an animal. Fangs appear as normal teeth but grow when hunger is aroused.

So! Here are my two.
Name: Amon Nekhsef
Race: Vampire
Gender: Male
Age: Four thousand something; appears 19.

The back of his hair is dyed blue, not that his hood is ever down. His eyes are black-brown, the left eye has a scar on it. In case you can't see. Despite his origins being Egyptian, being a vampire for so long has made his hair go white and his skin go pale.
Personality: Incredibly reclusive, Amon hardly speaks even to his vampires, rarely leaving his room. He may seem cold because of this, but really he's surprisingly compassionate - at least to his vampires. He's bitter towards humans, believing them to be selfish, close-minded, destructive creatures who will fear and hate anything they don't understand; though there have been exceptions. He doesn't think very highly of himself because of the heartless monster he once was, at times inflicting self-harm that doesn't often get anywhere because of his regenerative abilities. Due to this his arms are constantly covered in bandages stained blue - his blood is blue because of what an ancient line of vampire he is.
Brief History: Amon was made a vampire at 19 in ancient Egypt. When he was only 7 his village was destroyed and everyone in it killed because of the spreading vampire population; aside from himself just a few others survived by hiding or just being lucky. He raised himself by stealing in the markets until he was made a vampire. After that he became addicted to killing, on the edge of being feral. But he was always very careful to avoid sunlight and vampire hunters, and his caution and cunning got him through many vampire hunts that depleted the population. Through the years he wandered the world, and as his powers grew with his age he made the decision to start turning others, letting them do what they pleased until the day came he obtained the mansion he dubbed Nocturnus Manor. Then he gathered them there to live in peace, where humans traveling in the forest made for ample prey.
Name: Severin Isaac
Race: Human
Gender: Male
Age: 18

Personality: Severin is very easy-going, always taking things in stride. He is quiet, so since some find him a little creepy it's sometimes difficult for him to make close friends. He's very kind-hearted though. He never kills anything for its bones, he scavenges things that are already dead and buries them to dig up their bones later after everything else has rotted away. He uses bones to make jewelry and to simply attach it to things he owns, such as his belt and backpack. Despite his fondness for bones, he has no such fascination with death; to him it's just a natural process. He has no guilt in occasionally graverobbing, and doesn't feel any need to respect the deceased.
Brief History: Severin was raised in a rural town in German. His father had left his mother before he was born, and his mother neglected him. He spent his time out in the fields and woods finding things coyotes had killed, taking the bones and finding ways to weave them into his hair and tie them onto his clothes. But one night when he was 9 years old, a very religious neighbor found him digging up a deceased pet cat they had buried. Thinking he was possessed by a demon, the neighbor hit him in the back of the head with a shovel. This did extensive damage to his occipital lobe in his brain, completely blinding him in the left eye.
He now knows English quite fluently, though his German accent remains.
