Mappage? ( )

Postby Zhelir Darkfall on Fri Jan 20, 2006 11:28 pm

Out of curiosity, if there isn't already a set map for the colonies and Earth (relative locations to each other, shit, even full maps of the inside of colonies) I'm wondering if anyone would want one, and if so, if anyone would be willing to make one.

I always asumed the location of the colonies were similar to that in UC Gundam. The only difference is we don't really know how many colonies are part of each cluster in the AC universe, as far as I know anyway.

Each colony orbits one of the lagrange points, with multiple orbiting colonies making a cluster. I'mma draw it out.

How many though? In UC each Side which resides in the LaGarange points had I think about 50 colonies. I have map of the UC sides and positions to earth somewhere...

RP-wise, I know we've gone with atleast two in each point, atleast for L3. I don't know about the others.

Let's put it this way... resource colony X-18999 - that's a big number, but it IS a resource satellite. I'm estimating 50 colonies orbiting each lagrange point.

Update:

http://gwing.net/forum/map.php

Currently, only the Earth and L1 buttons work, and it's very VERY simplistic.

Don't worry, it's going to get prettier.

Don't quite understand that diagram. Is the bottom red dot supposed to be MO-V and the top cluster of dots including the grey dot supposed to be the 5 LaGrange colonies? Or are those red dots the 5 LeGrange colonies and the grey dot is Earth, and MO-V hasn't been put on there yet?

If the second is true, is that bottom red dot supposed to be that far?

The LaGrange points are when each colony cluster orbits...

They're points of gravitational equality between the earth and the moon. The red ones SHOULD say which colony they are, but then again, it's in Flash 8, and I think everyone is using 7. Maybe.

Anyways, I threw that together in about 10 minutes, so not everything is accurate or pretty.

In the end, it'll be animated and let you zoom in on each colony, on earth and each continent... etc.
