The year is 2185, the Galaxy is in panic. Cybernetic Organisms known only as the Reapers are on a crash course with the Milky Way, with only one goal. Destroy all life.
There is only one hope, that hope is not you, that hope is that just maybe the council will be able to make the whole Galaxy come together to fight this threat, not likely. You are a soldier on a Quarian Frigate 'Iotowa' and the best you can do is provide a little bit of cannon fodder for the Reaper threat.
Just one week ago a long distance space 'telescope' spotted a massive fleet of Reaper design heading straight for our Galaxy, with the council trying to muster a massive force and the politicians debate there was only one hope. Desperate times call for desperate measures and forcing all races to share ships and crew caused a tornado of outrage from all races, however, after much debate they came to a conclusion it was necessary.

You are now under the command of Vaate’Yonyyt vas Iotowa, a Quarian Captain who might have found a way to win this upcoming war, he has a contact on Omega named Karn'Thei who may have information about dormant Reaper technology. Your mission is to find Karn'Thei and find the Reaper technology, even then this might not save a single person, but at least you can give them a chance to run.

Mass Effect: Reaper is set in a reality where Commander Shepard did exist but died along with his crew after destroying the Collector base, his Helmsman, Jeff Moreau has not been seen since and is presumed dead. I do not want anybody randomally popping a former crew memeber out of their arse for some reason and the only appearence by a ME or ME2 character will be determined by me and even then they will not play a big role in the story, if any. You may be almost any sentient race you like with the exception of Hanar, Elcor, Volus, Keepers,
Vorcha, Geth or Reapers (Obviously) as none of those races would/could actually fight against the Reapers.

This roleplay is centred on character interaction as well as the occasional fights, but it is mainly the calm before the storm and preparing everything you have to face the Reapers.
Also please note: You are not Super Soldier take500bulletstotheheadandshrugitoff Shepard, your shields can only take a few hits before going down and location damage is realistic, medigel acts as a sort of advanced painkiller but does not heal the wound.

On another note, I do not mind romance and swearing but I ask you to keep it realistic and not drop the f-bomb in every sentence.

Bio: Growing up on the Migrant Fleet like most Quarians, he showed little interest in politics even after his pilgrimage where he fought and near-fatally wounded a Thresher Maw on Tuchanka, after returning home he joined the army. After being promoted to Captain he barely escaped with his life on Haestrom after he was cut off from his squad and presumed dead, instead, he hid in a nearby bunker and openly broadcasted a distress signal for a week before a Turian ship picked him up, even though the crew wanted to leave him the Captain decided on a whim to take him with them and return him to the Migrant Fleet. Recently he was put in command of the Quarian Frigate Iotowa and contacted by Karn’Thei about some inactive Reaper tech.

Awesome, I was going to try and start a Mass Effect role play. Glad you did it before me, this looks pretty good. One question though, do you want us playing as one of the crew members you have selected or can we make up a character of our own?

You make up your own, the only reason I included the list so that people didn't get confused about crew members names, like me calling the helmsman Robert and you calling him Terry. As people join, I will add them to the crew list.

Bio: Krag, like most Krogan, is a warrior with a lot of battle history. His entire life he has gone out of his way to make sure that wherever a fight was going to be, that's where he'd go. Like a nomad, he traveled throughout Citadel space searching for any jobs that paid well, whether it was attacking a certain ship or defending a crew that planned on doing research in hostile space. Over the years he earned a good name for himself among the gangs, crime lords, and war lords of the milky way. It wasn't long before all of them were offering him good pay to do certain jobs for them. He took them without any concern or regret, earning loads of credits and renown. But he has been offered a random job from out of the blue. A Quarian named Vaate’Yonyyt has in need of a good team and Krag has been asked to join it. His job is to act as an extra gun hand, keeping Vaate alive and helping him win the upcoming war. It sounded an easy enough job for a Krogan, and the pay was good so he accepted the job. Wasn't long before he found himself fighting side by side with all sorts of species, humans, quarians, turians and the like. He didn't like any of them very much, but after hearing that a war was around the corner, he decided it was worth spending time with the weaker races so long as he got to blow something up.

Bio: Septulor is Saren's younger brother and like most Turian's he joined the military age 15 and ruse through the rank's up until his brother's betrayal of the council and was then demoted, since they had no real reason that would justify a court marshaled, to a captain of a small cargo ship. when he picked up Vaate’Yonyyt he was on a pick up mission but delayed it to save the Quarian which normally would have been know big deal, but seen how he was saren brother the used it as a chance to court marshal him. now with no more tie's to the military he joins up with Vaate’Yonyyt in order to redeem the Arterius name.

Enough with your lies, I'm not sure if that is the best idea as for this story I generally need everybody on the same ship, I'm fine if you make something up about him that somehow works but try to keep it within Turian reality, I doubt a Turian Captain would willingly go under the command of a Quarian one but if you can figure something out go ahead.

On the Saren's brother question, I'm not sure how it would work out because Saren's little brother would have been disgraced by his actions and possibly kicked out of the Military. If you want you can but it's better if you kept it secret for a while.
Also, you can just call him Vaate in the OOC. In Quarian society, they don't break up their names instead they use a '. For example Vaate'Yonyyt, Vaate is his first name and Yonyyt is his family name. They also name their people with 'vas' which says which ship they serve on. For example Vaate'Yonyyt vas Iotowa means Vaate'Yonyyt who serves on the Iotowa. Finally, nar is used only in formal encounters or with those who haven't completed their pilgrimage, it is their birth ship. For example Vaate'Yonyyt vas Iotowa nar Ronnya mean Vaate Yonyyt who serves on the Iotowa and born on the Ronnya.

yeah they tell you it durring a side mission in Mass effect 2 on Illium there's is an asari who was going out with a krogan and she mentions one of the reason's she was not so sure about it was the life span.

Bio: as an average quarian Santo’Shatee nar Idenna grew up on the flotilla and spent most of his time studying the engines on the Idenna. while on his pilgrimages he found work for a crooked volus's repair shop finding any part that had the slights easlly repaired part that he could replace so that the volus's could sale the the most expensive part and if they could not pay he would kept and scrap the ship or sale it and the only reason Santo’Shatee went along with this is that he was aloud to keep the part so that he could build a gift for his pilgrimages the lotowa which is the only reason he joined mission to make sure the lotowa make's back in one peice.
