Re: BBClock's Guide to Explaining Magic

Wow, I'm impressed by the responses I've gotten. I understand each of your points, and they are all valid. I apologize if any wording I chose to employ was in a way determined as implying that this solution and explanation is a catch-all "must use my way". I did not mean it to that extent...

BBClock's Guide to Explaining Magic

So, throughout my Roleplaying, I have found, not just here, but elsewhere too, that people don't quite understand how magic should work, and they oftentimes argue over it, or make some bull up to try and slide things that aren't capable by the radar. There are other problems too, but I think I have...

Re: The Mug Behind The Madness!

Well, I suppose it was long overdue. So here. Me. At a retreat towards the beginning of 2011. http://www.freeimagehosting.net/newuploads/5da87.jpg Then me at a friend's birthday party. Compare to the above, and it's clear which one is me. http://www.freeimagehosting.net/newuploads/819bf.jpg Lastly,...

Re: Stat-based RP fighting?

I ripped off of Paper Mario on a couple of veritable points. 2nd Grade Math, Addition and Subtraction. No funny "distributing" points and other business. Regardless of the character or weapon involved, all characters are on an equal field. And accessibility and flexibility, as you can mol...

Re: The Multiverse: The Official OOC (uber)Thread

Why don't I just barrel my way in with my Faction (The Attecians) to try and distract him? Creating a diversion might give me the means to get them into the Factions thing, and at least dent the myriad of troops he is trying to use.

Re: Legend of Aeranis

Fallacy wrote:Hm... might be interesting. Does this roleplay contain any classes or statistics?

I feel I'm going to get this one a lot.

Stats are non-existent. They bog things down.

Classes are for base reference. They prevent us from having wizards swinging claymores larger than they are.

Legend of Aeranis

Rumors have surfaced that the city of Oranis was discovered deep beneath the ocean, and that if the Pumice Stones are found, the city can be risen back to the surface. The rumor further states that the Stones are hidden all across the various surrounding islands, deep within jungles, ruins, caves, ...

Re: Mature Pokemon RP, anyone?

Can I make a suggestion? I think it might be cool if we RP character who aren't generic trainers. Like, a mixed bag of high-end trainers (possibly gym leaders or retired leaders), knowledgeable pokemon researchers, police officers/detectives, or some other kind of figure with a job/goal that isn't ...

Where Are Lines Drawn...

... Between Harmless Humor and Dastardly Disrespect? I generally find that everywhere, offline, online, here, there, everywhere, the line is getting more and more "Gray". So I wanted to ask the community. As a debate topic, I do wish that everyone be reasonable, and TRY to give examples to...

Re: Would you think it would be okay to do this?

Story to roleplay, on the other hand, requires that you distill the sequence of events into the main set pieces and do your best to steer the players from one such scene to the next as they muck things up in ways you could have never thought possible. Unfortunately, doing the bolded action waters t...

Re: Leagues Above: Fighters Wanted

The Fight Supervisor likes to see Fighter Applications! They make it better because he knows who you are once he obtains it, and he has an eye for talent scouting. Please consider posting one here.

Action Figure RP Signups/Ideas

Re: Unnamed Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Idea

Could you please give ideas too if at all possible, Nocte?

This RP cannot happen unless it has a set goal and setting, which requires ideas. I can come up with things, but I want to see what the userbase will come up with and like to see that would make it more enjoyable for them.
