Re: How Important are Dice to a Game

It would be nice to do that for online games too but... how do you prove what your roll was? XDDD Oooh, actually - our chat has a die rolling system. (Click "Hide/Show Chat" bottom right...) /roll 1d20 I think there are tons of different ways to roleplay, and dice have their place - espec...

Re: How Important are Dice to a Game

they're just a tool to ensure random chance. As far as I'm concerned though, dice are symmetrical lumps of plastic with numbers drawn on the sides. No special place in my heart. I'm with you on that. They just ensure chance. Though while I do not feel I can influence the result of my roll regardles...

Re: Ways to Kill a Roleplay

Four things that will definitely end a RolePlay? Argue. Fail to play the character. Fail to engage potential players. Ignore actions made by other players. If you argue, you're not roleplaying. Nothing moves forward and no one wants to jump in and post- since you might attack them next. If you fail ...

Re: Back, after a long haitus

Thanks for the welcome. How nice to see you, Mel!Good to know we're all still out there, somewhere. Are we required to join the RolePlay Academy before we can roleplay here? Or is it just for those that wish to expand their horizons or improve their abilities? ^_^; I know, question, but it's late an...

Back, after a long haitus

This site sure has changed from it's beginning- and for the better! Cookies for everyone who worked/works on it. ^_^ I was offline for a few years due to a computer malfunction, but now I'm back and ready to roleplay. But I'll be careful not to put too much on my plate. ^_~ Master pointed me here an...

I'm afraid to join in at this point. I tend to disappear for weeks at a time and I don't think that's fair to others in the RP. :? Such as I just did. I was house/dog/bird sitting and just got my wisdom teeth removed today. I need to go rest, th effects of the anesthesia still haven't completely wo...

Not surprising that must people don't get Redneck humor...those with Redneck blood or know any Rednecks get it, and what's really funny is, most of it is true. So true. I have quite a few redneck friends and they really are like that. One, Jon, I couldn't understand him the first week we met, lol. ...

lol, Zach used an anti-material rifle, not an anti-matter one. This was used to make sure the bullet would penetrate the window in case it was bulletproofed (which in this case, it wasn't.) Aha. Now it makes sense- sort of. I thought it was a public building but who cares anyway. Ya'll missed, lol....

The retard knows more, you stupid whore! Now smack that little llama! Excrementation will allow earth-deamons to facilitate nuclear war serruptitiously, like a paraplegic super Christ. In all seriousness, you misunderstood, misquoted, and definately hurt those associated

It's not my character that wants to know what's going on, lol, it's me. Thanks for the general summary. Though the forest recap really helped sort things out. I think I was having trouble figuring out who was aligned with whom. I'm know I'll end up making a list for myself to keep it all straight. :...

RP info: sorting timeline, summary

Okay, I've just read everything- almost everything. Pretty much all that is in Colonies Home down to the South American Nation- that's pretty much all of it, lol. I'm confused as to what has actually happened. When I read so much at once the timeline gets fuzzy too. If anyone would summarize who is ...

I loved fightin' 'em all the more. I'd be whoopin' on 'em, they'd take the time to type out a powerup, andi n the meantime I'd beat 'em down unguarded. Their speed didn't increase, so their effectiveness was still the same. Which is what annoyed me when they stopped fighting and insisted that I cou...

Gundam Wing you dumbass -_- Then we had Battle Arena I think, and then Music, or something like that. LMAO! That would be it. Okay, I don't remember music when I first joined, but I remember the battle arena. I admit to some modding. But only to combat the fools who thought "powering up" ...

Call me an oldie, but I still enjoy watching the Dick Van Dyke show. Almost everything I have learned about physical comedy has come from that guy. It's sometimes hard to see, but he does it safely, while still keeping it real, now THAT's an accomplishment. :) I know a lot of people say it- but the...

Gotta love the Scots. xD Sean Connery has always been my favorite Bond, followed closely by Pierce Brosnan. -noddle- Ditto. Do any of ya'll remember the old show Remington Steele? He was in it, lol. I used to wake up at two am in elementary school and watch old reruns. Remington Steele was a pretty...

Might i commend you on your choice of sidearm. The pistols you picked up are among my favorite. As for melee weaponry, I have yet to get around to it. As soon as I have the time I will. I know, I KNOW, everyone's saying "You have the time to type this! Get work! Chop-Chop!" but I'm about ...
