I don't find detail to be redundant or annoying at all. It does it's job, it pulls me in and keeps me there until I'm done. Detail is what grabs me and makes me think "Wow, I can't wait to get off of work to pick up that book again." It's the same with an RP, the detail will grab me or no...

Having sex scenes = okay. Describing sex scenes = not okay. Give me one good reason why we should know how their hips move, what they said, and what went where. I've had plenty of RPs with sexual themes and implication, and they've yet to take away from my characters. Because detail is an integrel ...

Well, I play a game called FOrsakenRO, and my characters name in game is CHocolate Coated Tampon. So instead of saying the entire thing, they just call me Tampon.
