Re: Threadless Shirt Design

can we have rocket propelled penguins? or mechanical camels? Haha. I may do a series of various jet-propelled creatures. Not sure yet. I will let you know if I go ahead with it. Sko... I want one. O>O Long live Squid Rockets! If it isn't selected for printing on Threadless, it will be available on ...

Re: Threadless Shirt Design

I dunno... if it didn't have flames shooting out of it's beak (yes! squid DO have beaks) then i would want one of those shirts. I know Coleoidea (Squid, Octopi, Cuttlefish, Nautiluses) have beaks. :p Anyhow, the flames are part of the design. Quite literally, as the title says, it is a "Squid ...

Threadless Shirt Design

I finally worked up the nerve to submit one of my designs to Threadless and it's now up for scoring.

Image

Any scores would be greatly appreciated. Ideally, I'd like scores of 4 or 5, but you can be honest if you feel it deserves less.

Re: The True Samurai (OOC)

The feudal era was pre gunpowder, however, since this is fairly fictional, I would allow a non-samurai inventor to have some sort of gunpowder weapon. Also note this is Japan, not china. Actually, muskets and arquebus were present in feudal Japan as early as the mid-16th century. http://www.guncite...

Re: Crim's attempts at art.... :3

Ah, so Crim is one of the artists of the site I see. A little tip for making a more solid line (I assume you are using photoshop) take the blur tool, using the mouse, and turn the intensity to about 20. Then outline the drawing and use the paint bucket tool to darken and define the outline. On the ...

Re: Crim's attempts at art.... :3

It's a Pachirisu. Haha, anyhow. This is quite good for someone who has just gotten their tablet and hasn't had much experience getting the hang of using it or exploiting the qualities of the tool itself. Believe you me, tablets are tricky and frustrating for the first couple of weeks or months after...

Excellent. I'm not really strategically or tactically inclined, so me trying to take the reigns of a nation would not end well for anyone. I can actually participate this way.

Re: Rome: Power and Glory (NRP interest check)

Please explain the 'character RP mixed in with it,' as NRPs are played as characters in the nations you cantrol, and there is interaction between the charaters from others' nations. I know what NRP is and how it works. I come from over a decade of RP where empires and nations existed at the same ti...

Re: Rome: Power and Glory (NRP interest check)

I wholly support this concept. I don't think I, myself would be RPing a nation-state, but hopefully there would be some character RP mixed in that I and others could participate in.

Re: Ninja v.s. Pirate

Thank you, Eudemonia and Skogul (I must argue that most legends and stories depict the ninjitsu art being brought to Japan from China. Just a myth, though. Anyway, Sub-Zero and the Lin Kuei were never explicitly called "ninja" in any circumstance. They were called "warriors" bec...

Re: Ninja v.s. Pirate

It's incredibly unrealistic for a Pirate to one-shot a Ninja, because their accuracy is horrible, and they only have one chance to shoot the ninja before having to take FIVE seconds to reload. The fastest human can move at 40 yards in FOUR seconds. Semantics alone says that the Ninja has his kodach...

Re: Ninja v.s. Pirate

I would rather be a ninja. Let's see why... NINJA -I would've rather seen, " Ninjas of South Korea ," than "Pirates of the Caribean." ...What? Ninja, at least in the form you're thinking of, are exclusively a Japanese thing. Namely, mountain clans who avoided most Japanese settl...

Re: Been a pleasure.

It's getting a little tiring what with me trying to wash my hands of this place only to get informed via email that people are replying to this thread just to try to get the last word in, even when they don't know the particulars of what exactly led up to this decision on my part. I spoke with Eric;...

It's not an attack. It's just that I don't share your perspective and I'm calling out my opinion. If you're so insecure that you have to reduce my opinions to an attack, then that's your business. Cutting and running does not help anybody. If you want to help, stay and improve the site's effectiven...
