I think it is not a bad thing because some things perhaps are needed or can be uncovered by a good scene like that. Like making an emotional attachment, or even a dark secret. Actually I did a rape scene in an RP once, and I just basically explained what it looked like and what happened in just 1 post. You could say it was contributive, but still I didn't need to go into detail.
Point said, just don't go to deep into just 1 small scene. No real point in it.
