Kristin leaned against a liamp post in the gloom, her hair hanging over her face as she toyed with a small coin. Her eyes glinted blue in the dusky light as people passed by her, gossiping, arguing. It sickened her to hear these things, people going about their normal buisness while she suffered with the knowledge that some wouldn't ever want to know.
Sighing she got up at went to a nearby bartista, oredering a frap before returning back to the sidewalk. She wasn't use to the city or being out in the open, it made hre feel vulernable but that was alright at the moment. She was ready for any attacks or challenges, she had mastered her strength to almost its full height and not once had she used it in battle.

Silently, Dennis raomed the streets of New York, his cold metal skin absorbing the cool night air. Night time was pretty much the only time Dennis could go out in steel form. This way, there was no sunlight to blind innocent bystanders. Being made of metal added a sence of security to the way he walked, how he talked, but tonight he felt tired. Living alone in his appartment made him bored. For a short time, he missed his parents back in Russia.

On the sidewalk, Dennis noticed a girl, Kristin. She looked relatively uneasy, and Dennis felt like talking to a stranger. "Hey," Dennis called. "What's wrong?"

Kristin spun around on her heels, her eyes widening with shock.
"What does a stranger need with that information? Can't an attractive girl be a little bestrange when shes out in the middle of the night...alone." She bit her lip. She wasn't normally like this but she wasn't really social with anyone except for a select few so this was new for her.
Up ahead a nightinggale schreeched, wheeling in the shadows before flapping away in the dusky silence of night.
She sighed. "Who are you?" An eyebrow as lifted as she questioned him, wondering why he had decided to approach her, escpecially now, when things should be more uneasy than any other time of day or dusk.

"I wouldn't worry if I were you," Dennis laughed, crossing his arms. He moved himself to reveal the metalic glow of his skin. "I have very little use for a girl on the street at night... I'm not exactly interested."

"My name's Dennis." Dennis uncorossed his arms and took a few steps closer to Kristin, his eyes full of genuine compassion. "What does concern me is when an attractive girl is sad on the streets in the middle of the night..." he said, smiling friendily.

Kristin was confused. She didn't get what his comments meant or his intentions.
"Just leave me alone," she turned away, thinking of his words as insults. She wasn't attractive to him yet she was, was this a metaphor or some wise talk. She hated that kind of stuff yet she liked learning new things. From now on she had to be more cautious with her emotions. They were her weakness and she didn't want any more of that, escpecially in these times.
"I don't need any stranger telling me anything, excpecially someone like you." She sneered at him, throwing her empty cup in a nearby trash bin.

Dennis paused and thought about what he'd said. Maybe he wasn't as articulate with the English language as he'd thought? He powered down, his body reverting back to its normal state. Dennis scratched the back of his neck, analyzing every word he was about to say to make sure he didn't anger this girl anymore. He just wanted to help.

Right now, he would kill to be back with his parents.

"I'm sorry. I merely wanted to help. I didn't mean to..." Dennis's thoughts trailed off as he tried to pinpoint what exactly he did. "What do you mean 'Someone like you'?"

She turned on him, her eyes glinting. 'Well, don't you notice anything a it different from you than everyone else around here?!" She was surpised at the question. "You are different as am I but you...you are hardly human." She growled, still staring at him.
Hopefully they weren't attracting any unwanted attention.

Dennis paused again, letting this girl glare at him. He needed to time to process; it'd been so long since someone discriminated against him for his powers... usually it was because of a different life-stlye all together. "If you are as different as I am, wouldn't that make us one of the same?" he asked, analyzing each word in his brain. Dennis paused for a moment and looked at the lamp post next to him and the girl. He sighed and shrugged, "Maybe if we are one of the same, maybe I can help you?"

For a moment, Dennis just realized she'd been shouting at him. Undoubtedly, a few eyes were drawn.

Touch had been slowly regaining his consciousness since he had entered the mansion. It seemed like he was in a void of darkness where only his thoughts were apparent. [i]What the hell did I do? Am I dead now, because I don't want to go out like that. I think I can hear someone. Are they speaking to me? No that's not it . . . I'm regaining my consciousness, My senses are more apparent to me, and I'm about to wake up. Booyah!!!

Touch rubbed his head as he tried to raise himself off the floor. He had gotten a terrible headache after combining himself with so much power. The after effects were similar to a hangover, which he indeed despised. He was a little confused, because he wasn't in a maximum security prison cell, he was in a mansion. He looked up to see someone he didn't recognize, but his face was a bit familiar.

"I didn't know Charles had a family." Touch said knowing that the guy in front of him was one of his descendants.
