Summer sat in her corner and watched, helpless, as Lee succumbed to the sedative, and collapsed against Andrew's feet. Her eyes flickered from Andrew to Lee, wondering what the sadistic carer would do next, but all he did was look at the crumpled figure at his feet, and laugh. Summer closed her eyes, gritted her teeth, and lunged at Andrew with everything she had, trying to wrestle him to the floor. "You son of a--"
"Now now, Summer, watch that language," Andrew chuckled, taking hold of Summer's arms and holding her still. "Don't make me sedate you, too. So far, I've allowed you to stay with him, considering he'll be out cold for a while.."
"How long?" she snarled, glaring at him, once again rendered completely helpless.
"Who knows? The sleep'll do him good, anyway. Might help him sort through some of his messed-up issues."
Summer made a noise that could only be called a growl.
"Do you want to be removed from his presence?"
Summer averted her eyes from this evil man's face, a forlon expression on her own. "No."
"Then shut up." He released her, shoving her backwards into the wall, and left the room.
Summer rubbed her arms where he'd held her, glaring after him, cursing him under her breath. Her eyes fell on Lee, and her expression softened. She sank to her knees next to him, pulling his head into her lap and gently stroking his hair and face, tears rolling down her cheeks.
