Hey everyone! The end has come at last. Thanks for the submissions Skaerin, Alacer, and Palendrome! They're all lovely and have far surpassed many of the MFC entries I've seen in the past. I'm impressed!
Even though the deadline says it's the 30th, I'll give any stragglers until the end of the 31st (tomorrow!) to submit. After that it's a-judgin' time and February will be up!

Sorry for the delay! Unfortunately, I warn you ahead of time that this post will not satisfy your curiosity of the winner for January's MFC.
You'll have to wait until March!
Because, that's right, folks, we'll be taking a hiatus this February and won't be restarting MFC until March.
Why? Because I and the other judges want to give these contests as much time as they need, and February just doesn't have enough days (plus we all have super-busy schedules this month, coincidentally enough...).
So, the downside: no MFC this February. And the upside: you'll have a full thirty-one days in March to submit for the next MFC. We'll start on time. Promise.
