(this is me making another attempt at making a rp. Hopefully it'll catch the attention of more rper's than my previous one did.)(> post356287.html#p356287 < the IC thread)

Late one night, British animal rights activists break into the Cambridge Primate Research Facility to free chimpanzees being used for medical research. The local scientist warns the activists that the chimps are infected with what he calls a "rage virus," but the activists disregard him and set one chimp free. It immediately attacks and infects the activists and scientist. between that time and on the 28th day, almost all the citizens of London had been infected. Approximately 98% had become those berserk monsters. Through some classified means, the government contained, and almost completely destroyed the infection. But crack-scientist had other plans. Those fools wanted to experiment with the virus....a fatal mistake.

Over the course of 28 weeks, the Infected have all died of starvation and Britain is declared relatively safe again. The process proceeds throughout the weeks. An American-led NATO force begins repopulating the country with both old and new residents. The events are a bit foggy as no one knows, or wants to tell what happened. Apparently 2 children slipped out of a safe zone to go to their old home. They found their mother in their old cottage where their father had abandoned her during an infected attack. She was alive but distraught. Soldiers find and apprehend the children, and quarantine their mother for testing. Blood test confirm that she is infected, but she isn't showing any of the symptoms. Somehow her husband got past the guards and went to see her. He got infected from her somehow, and went on a rampage just like any other infected and brutally killed his wife in rage. He left that place and continued to infect the other residents quickly, and the virus was spread once again. The army tried to contain the virus by killing the infected, but in all the chaos they were having trouble. It soon became too late to contain the infected, so they moved to the next logical thing....destroy it. Every able body soldier was to kill anything that moved, and not part of the army. genocide soon followed.

We lost contact with the countries in europe soon after, and only had a small sample of the virus as a clue. Testing on animals confirmed that it was indeed the rage virus so safety precautions were put in place. They weren't safe enough obviously. We don't know how the virus got into New york, but assume one of the scientist tried to smuggle it in. We do know however, that because it got out, within hours the city was nothing more than a pen full of the infected. 28 months later, here we are. Trying to survive in this hell. America is being claimed by the infected rapidly and soon there will be nothing, or no one left...

personality: Seth is a noble person. He finds it hard to resist helping a person in need, even if the person doesn't deserve it, or it means risking his own life. He tries to be a little funny to lighten the mood, and a little sarcastic to make himself feel a little better.
bio: Seth loved to help people, even when he was young. His father was in the force and Seth looked up to him. He never knew his mother which saddened him a little, but didn't let it get to him for long. When he was old enough he joined the force just like his old man and tried to be just as good as he. When the outbreak hit his city, his father disappeared, and unable to believe he was killed or turned went out to find him.

personality: Caelan is very quiet. She does talk though but only when someone is talking to her. If no one is talk to her she'll stay quiet and out of everyone's way. She also gets scared easily any little noise makes her jump and scream.
bio: Caelan was living with her parents and older brother when they heard about the virus hitting America. Neither her or her brother figured something like this could happen but it had. Her parents were infected and her and her brother were on the run from them and the rest. They lost each other during the chaos and Caelan still hasn't found her brother and prays that he hasn't been infected.
other: no weapons.

lol. well she eventually sucks it up because she starts out as a cry baby but eventually she decides to kick ass. lol.

personality: Kiki is a very quiet person, she is often reading a book. People may not know it but she is up for a fight whenever, and when she gets mad can get very violent. When she gets to know you she becomes very sweet.
bio: When Kiki was little her family was her life, they were the family with the cute brick house and a white picket fence. But Kiki's family was all infected. Now she is all alone, hence why she is mostly quiet. She has a house that she broke into after the owners were infected and killed that she outfitted with sheet metal for protection.
other: Uses Knives, and is Semi-Skilled in Mixed Marial arts

personality: Jack attempts to put a brave face on things, but is still a scared child at heart. He doesn't trust people well so he doesn't like to share his second name. He is also scared of sharp objects(when he is not the one holding said sharp object) as he was attacked when he was at school
bio: Born in London, England he was a victim of the origonal outbreak. When the infected problem spread his parents forced him onto a plane as they stayed behind. When the time came to repopulate Britiain he was to traumatised to go back to his old home, So he stayed in america and tried to live a normal life with his freind Tom, and Tom's parents. Both of Tom's parents became infected and were killed by other humans, So Tom went beserk and got himself killed to. Jack is all alone now.
other: He carries a metal pole bent at the end, He also carries a hunting knife that was given by his father.
