History: Born on Iridonia, the youngling called Raigar immediately knew he was different growing up. Despite looking like some of the other Zabrak children, red skin and the growing horns atop his head, he could do things others could not. His agility was unnatural, the boy able to outrun even an adult most times, a crimson blur cutting across the landscape. As he grew taller, older, and wiser, he could manipulate that speed. He could push it faster, as well as somehow increasing the length and height of his jumps by concentrating. He didn’t understand what was going on until a Jedi, the boy knowing what he was by the lightsaber hanging from his belt, approached him. He was told that his potential to use the Force was high, high enough that he warranted breaking the tradition that a youngling Jedi be taken in at infancy, the boy all too eager to leave home and learn to harness this power that he saw as being newly found. He did not quite understand yet that he had already been using the Force unknowingly, having once even managed to cloak himself by bending the light around his body to escape the wrath of a local gang of boys.
Years of training honed his skills, showing a true talent for the ways of the Force and lightsaber duels, having been called upon to make his own lightsaber, which he had done with a particular glee, creating a curved-hilt lightsaber of a green hue. The green blade did not stay so for long, however, as the boy found, on a trip to Tatooine, a krayt dragon, facing down the beast with a particular ferocity that his master feared. After slaying the beast, a krayt dragon pearl was found inside the dragon, the boy honing it and shaping it until he placed it inside his lightsaber, turning the blade to a pearlescent color. Upon returning to the temple, the masters questioned their trust in the young Zabrak, culminating in the passing over of the boy into the Knighting ceremony. Having been sure that, with his successes, he was certain to pass on, his rage got the best of the boy, having always had a quick temper, storming out of the hall after displaying a talent that the masters had feared…he had cast Force lightning on the closest of the padawans, dueling the next in line until he had sliced off his weapon hand.
The only thing that had stopped his rampage against the students was a holdout blaster on one of the adults who was visiting the temple at the time, taking from him his left eye. Stowing away on the first freighter leaving the planet, he found himself stranded at Kuat Drive Yards when he was discovered, the horn-headed, single-eyed Zabrak with crimson skin looking quiet pitiful. Put to work to earn his keep, the one-eyed boy quickly turned out to be one of the most efficient mercenaries that the ship builders had ever seen. Tasked with taking down high-profile contracts, normally people who attempted to sell plans for unique ships of war to rival companies, he was given a new eye, as well as earning himself a small fortune.
After years of work with the Yard, he bought himself both a speeder modeled after a Sith Lord he’d seen in holovids, but also a heavily modified TIE Oppressor from Sienar Fleet Systems, still having a bit left over for himself. Taking his chance, he ran with what he had, tired of being stuck in one place, hopping from planet to planet and slowly tattooing his skin with a pattern similar to that of the Sith Lord he’d come to admire, though he was dead. His horns were becoming larger, now shaped as if a crown, picking up a crimson synth crystal for his lightsaber along the way, now having a pearlescent red hue, a new glint in that single purple eye, the other a silver replacement, modified to allow him telescoping and infrared vision with just a thought. Learning to harness more Force powers, his heart was not truly turning to the dark side or returning to the light, staying in a grey area that allowed him both light and dark side powers.
On one planet in particular, he picked up the robes he wears to this day, his entire outfit kept in a storage area of the larger, bulkier TIE Oppressor ship, also picking up the cuticle implants permanently making his right hand into a claw. Upon the very next planet, he was set upon by a Jedi knight looking to bring the rogue to justice, igniting his lightsaber staff before the now ebon and crimson Zabrak could even reach a leather gloved hand to his weapon. He underestimated the boy’s power, however, the large stones the boy battered the man with being cut up until he could cut them efficiently no longer, battered into a coma by the young male, who took his lightsaber staff as a trophy. To account for his single weapon, he traveled to the closest planet that he could find, asking about cortosis weave weapons, then told about phrik, which worked just as well. Using some of his small fortune, the boy purchases himself a phrik metal ball, as well as a vastly long chain that he could attach to his belt. Leaving the planet after acquiring the new weapon, the boy departs for regions unknown, settling down to hone his skills in secret for now, hiding himself out so that even the most adept at sensing the Force would have a difficult time tracking him.
Cybernetic modifications: Due to the loss of his left eye earlier in life, Raigar had a mechanical replacement put in place by the “good” people at Kuat Drive Yards. This eye is self-lubricating, giving him unparalleled vision even in a dust storm. It also grants him the boons of both telescopic vision and a form of infrared/x-ray vision. He often uses the telescopic vision function to scout areas, less often using the infrared vision unless in urban environments where seeing through walls to pick up heat signatures of others is a must.
Personality: An outcast in his own eye, not saying that the replacement is his own, though he has adapted to it, using it to his advantage at times. When forced to go into a civilized settlement, he keeps his hood up, gloves on, to hide his skin and face, only showing the glowing silver eye, as it was much brighter, even in the dark, than the purple right. While initially indifferent, he is easily angered or befriended, depending on how one goes about dealing with him, keeping his curved lightsaber hidden from view, most times only carrying the ball and chain in sight. He will not hesitate to employ mind tricks or other powers upon those he deems it necessary.
Description: The most striking feature of the male is his crimson skin, tattooed with black patterns reminiscent of a long dead Sith Lord, as well as the crown-patterned horns sprouting from his bald skull. Despite it all, he is rather handsome, possessing a purple right eye and a silver, almost luminescent left. Normally clothed in a dark robe with a large hood, a black sash keeping it tight around his waist, a black, tight shirt beneath it. Baggy black pants reside on his legs, tucked into knee high black boots, black leather gloves upon his hands. Calm for most of the time, his temperament is volatile, however, requiring care in how one handles their dealings with the gray Jedi, as he has come to see himself, neither light nor dark, Sith nor savior.
Abilities: His lightsaber is used for both noble and shady deeds, as well as the lightsaber staff and the phrik ball and chain. Adept in the use of Force powers, he is well versed in the ways of six main powers, as four are merely based on the same principle: Force cloak, Force jump, Force push and pull, Force speed, Force lightning, and Force grip and choke. He is also quite capable in the use of Force crush, able to crush small air speeders and speeder bikes with ease. While he does know of more, he hardly uses them, aside from the occasional deflection of a blaster bolt with his bare hands and the Force. He prefers to keep the peace until provoked, at which point he will viciously hound his opponent until they have seen that they were wrong…or at least admit they were wrong. His ship is modified, barely large enough to fit him and the speeder, since the ship was originally designed to be a bomber/fighter. The underbelly of the fighter has been modified to fit the speeder in the case that he must planet hop. If he needed to have a crew or company, he’d have to hire a freighter, not needing one in his solitude at the moment, however.
