MURDER TOWN
Morganstown is a (fictional) small town at the foot of the Cascade Mountains in Montana US. The town is quiet, hardly any crime and therefore its police force is minimal, only one police station, and its quite small. Its residents are either rich entrepeneurs who don't live there all year round or quiet locals who have lived there all their lives. There is a truck stop, only a few shops, one hotel and a bar, there is also a small high school. Everyone knows each other so they mostly trust each other too. It is winter time when the first murder happens. Near Christmas. A beautiful 17 year old girl by the name of Karen Eston, is found wrapped in an old carpet and dumped in the river. She attended the local high school and worked at the local cafe in her spare time. Now a murder isn't that unusual, but in this town it is. Everyone begins to suspect one another, the girls family and boyfriend are ostricised and people don't know what to think. Some have strong opinions and others are more sympathetic - after all they have just lost their daughter, sister or girlfriend. The police are baffled by the murder and there are strange circumstances surrounding her death. Throughout the investigation they realise she knew a lot of people, lots of people did have motive but they all have alibis and back each other up.
The forensics don't add up. There is nothing to point the finger at who killed her, no marks on her body, no reason why she should have died except of course for one thing. They find a tattoo on her ankle that wasn't there before. It soon transpires that it is a magical sigil its meaning still uncertain.
Then just after Christmas another teenager is found murdered in similar circumstances. Another girl who went to the same high school and who knew Karen very well, her name Jackie Johnson - people start to suspect her father who lives alone but there is nothing again to really link him to the murder and again she is found with this unusual tattoo on her ankle. It seems the tattoos are the only clues that the police have and so the case goes higher up and the FBI are sent for - two agents from L.A are sent right up to Morganstown to investigate the murders, murders which may be linked to a supernatural death cult - at least thats the idea the police have at the moment.

The basic plot is there but I honestly don't know how this is going to work out - it will be up to the writers of this to have mysterious links or things going on behind the scenes that may lead to some kind of supernatural cult or something else - but the links must be subtle and not too easy to figure out.

Oliver Cage was brought up in a nice normal household in the LA suburbs. It all came to a tragic end when his mother, father and sister were shot and killed - the murders were never solved and he was the one who had found them. He was 12 years old. From then on he was a different person, cold hard and obnoxious. He could have gone into crime and drugs and it was a temptaion for him but he decided to do the right thing and driven by a desire to find out who killed his family he became an FBI agent after many years. It is his sole ambition to do the best and uphold the law and maybe one day solve that murder. He does have an unhealthy obsession with guns and some would say that about his irrational love of cars as well - is he bordering on the insane? Maybe, but he keeps all that aggression inside till the day he can finally release it. He doesn't do well in relationships because of all that pent up aggro.

Sharon is a police officer and works for the local office in Morganstown. She is newly divorced and is much to her annoyance very pregnant - she's almost 7 months gone and will be taking maternity leave in a months time. She's unhappy about becoming a single mum and determined to remain as active in her job as she can until she has to leave to have the baby. She knows she's expecting a little girl and has the room ready and everything for her. She was all set to have a nice life then her husband ran off with one of the rich wives that only visit the town once or twice a year - a Mrs Haditzien - who was married to a rich executive. That caused a stir in the town but it soon died down after the murders were discovered.
