Naruto-based spar ( )

Postby Wizard_and_Glass on Thu May 14, 2009 8:44 am

I am looking for a casual Naruto-based spar, as the title says, not a ranked match. Junnou is still in the works, though the basics are all there. All that is missing is the history. I desire a test of my own abilities, as well as his. I've never done a Naruto battle, so if I make a mistake, I'd rather have constructive criticism rather than having the flaw shoved in my face. Any questions on Junnou should be addressed first if they are of importance.

As to rules, just the basics. No god-modding, no metagaming, prep for abilities. No post limit since I'm prone to sporadic bouts of writer's block. As to jutsu and prepping, the system I think would work best is the higher the rank, the more preps. For example, a D-rank would take one prep, C-rank two, so on up to S-rank. Taijutsu wouldn't take so many preps, though opening the Eight Gates would. Each gate would take at least two preps. I'm also not picky on post lengths, but I would like at least two solid paragraphs, please. It gives me something to work with.

The setting would be a massive forest, trees ascending so high into the sky that the canopies are lost in the clouds. A pervasive mist stays in the forest floor, as well as pools of water both shallow and deep. In the center of this huge area rests a large pit, what could have been a mine. The odd thing about the forest, however, is that there is no sound. Though it is unknown why, no sound is ever emitted inside the forest. The wind makes no sound, yet can be felt, the animals can be seen, yet not heard, and intruders always seem to feel disoriented if not prepared for the sudden loss of one of their senses.

As to my character, here is his bio.

-------Basic Information-------
Name: Junnou
Nicknames: Jun
Codename[s]: The Scarred One, Messenger of Crows
Gender: Male
Age: 17
Heritage: Ex-Kumogakure resident
Place of Residence: N/A; travels with Sasori Enma

-------Tools/Abilities-------
Kekkei Genkai: Tenma Supuraisu/Demon Splicing – Though the Kekkei Genkai of Junnou’s (mostly unknown) clan is mostly useless in combat on its own, its applications are infinitely more usefl. The properties of this Kekkei Genkai enable the user to integrate the pieces of another’s body into their own with no ill effects, regardless of blood type. With this comes some of the knowledge of the possessor. This allows the Demon Splicing user to replace his or her own damaged organs with that of a recently dead individual, though a medic-nin is still needed for successful transfer. Due to this, others often regard most Demon Splicing possessors as geniuses in the realm of ninjutsu since even just skin grafted to their body grants knowledge, use, and most of the time a basic mastery of certain ninjutsu. It allows the user to also channel the chakra natures as if they possessed those of the original owners of the organs that have been spliced as well as their own. The most devious application of integrating another’s organs is if the other possessed a doujutsu. The user could sacrifice his or her own eyes for the corpse’s eyes, or replace their seeing organs if they have been damaged, achieving instant usage of the doujutsu of the previous owner. Despite the instant mastery normally gained with basic ninjutsu, harnessing another’s doujutsu requires training as any other user. Though the user’s own kekkei genkai grants them the knowledge of the doujutsu’s use, it does not grant them the instant ability of fully utilizing this knowledge, requiring bodily training. The sign of a possessor of the Demon Splicing kekkei genkai is a blood-red manji upon the flesh over the knot of bone where neck and shoulder meet. Due to the integration of the Demon Splicing, using poison against a possessor is useless. It would merely incorporate the poison into the body and allow the user immunity. A side effect of the kekkei genkai is that his blood and any blood transfused into him turns bright, almost luminescent blue, another sign of the Demon Splicing kekkei genkai.

-------Physical and Personality Information-------
Appearance: At a nude level, Junnou is a rather remarkable young man. He has massive scarring near his liver area and left kidney, for his liver and kidney are not originally his own. He has less extensive scarring all along his torso, even on his legs, his arms, as well. His left hand is also two-tone. The last two fingers and half of his palm are from a black shinobi, for he lost that much of his hand in a fight with that same shinobi. The next layer up consists of a pair of black combat pants and a pair of sandals. He also wears a black shirt, the neck and short sleeves of which consist of fishnet material. Along his arms he wears black bandages from just beneath the fishnet material all the way down to just before his fingertips. The next layer up, he wears a maroon coat with a black flame pattern around the bottom and at the shoulders since it is sleeveless. It possesses a high collar and a large hood to hide his head. He also wears a white sash that wraps over his body from right shoulder to left hip, then around his waist. He is quite thin and androgynous. He blackens his teeth to hide that some are chipped and broken. He also wears a stolen Konoha forehead protector, though it is hidden beneath his white and black, chakra-infused ANBU mask. The mask's design is that of the top half of a skull, that being the black, surrounding the eye slits. The skull is not a rounded design, however, for the crown of the skull turns to a flame design reminiscent of that around the shoulders and hem of his coat.
Hair: Raven hair falling to the waist; kept in a white cloth-covered bun on the back of the head
Eyes: White with hints of lavender
Skin Tone: Pale
Scars and Tattoos: Too numerous to count, though the major scars center around the liver and kidney area, as well a single scar running from each temple to what seems to be through his eyes and over the bridge of the nose
Piercings: A magatama earring upon a silver chain in each lobe, a single bar through the upper curve of each ear
Height: 5’4”
Weight: 128
Strength(s): Tremendous natural agility and stamina, adapts well, is a virtual jack-of-all-trades with many jutsu, has massive chakra reserves
Weakness: Suffers from a lack of brute strength, would fall to a greater master of Juuken, masters no particular jutsu despite the wide range he possesses and the huge amount of chakra he wields

~~~~~
Basic Personality: Masochistic, driven, and prone to taking revenge on those who wronged him, Junnou is a brutal shinobi when he has to be. Brutal in the sense that he will kill, not brutal in the sense that his fighting style is overtly aimed at injuring the body outwardly. His fighting style consists of his own adapted brand of Juuken copied from the memory of the Hyuuga whose eyes he possesses. His masochism does not come in the sense that he gets his jollies off on pain. Junnou is a masochist in the sense that, if it achieves his goal, he will hurt himself. He can do such because of his kekkei genkai and because his companion/partner/mother figure is a medic-nin and can help with the splicing. Due to his training with Enma after being abandoned as a child, he has developed dual personalities. One personality is the somewhat sweet yet bluntly and unashamedly sexual main personality. The second is more demonic, driven to kill and ruthless in its mission, that being the personality used for missions and fights.
Fears: Enclosed spaces, snakes, losing the one woman close to him
Likes: Sweets, women, weapons, men, his mother figure and sometimes more Enma, drugged tobacco
Dislikes: Assholes, needless injuries, useless people
-------Background Information-------
Place of Birth: Kumogakure
Parents: Unknown to Junnou; mother figure in Enma Sasori
Siblings: Uknown to Junnou
Marital Status: Single
Occupation: Mercenary
History: (Coming soon)
OOC:It might be fun. I'd imagine Kakashi Hatake (my best Naruto character) needs any real introduction and I suppose I can post first.
"Sigh." The enormous overhead shadow cast by the upper canopy of the taller trees did little to hide Kakashi's mood, as usual he was confused, having no idea how he happened upon this forest in the first place. "Well, he spoke lightly scratching at the corner of his head, "where am I now?"
He paused shortly, halting his brief walk. "A little reconnaissance might do me some good."
Briefly bending into a crouch, he kicks off the ground, sending him into the first branch within a short jumps reach.
"Whoosh" the feeling resonated brief gusts of wind blowing past his ascending figure each time he left one branch for another, yet it left no sound? The process continued in quick succession until his figure had ascended into the final layer of the trees, the canopy, the thick leaf covered uppermost region of the trees. Lifting a hand, he placed it against his brow, hoping to block as much sunlight out as possible, gazing into the horizon. "Well.. it's still not familiar. Maybe I should get closer?"
He leapt forward, catching himself on another invisible branch which was hidden beneath the shrubbery of the canopy. Short moments later, he'd made his way to a tree directly overlooking a large pool of water. He leapt from his perch, forced into a crouch at the speedy descension coupled with the hard landing. He turned, taking a short look around, yet it was as pointless as before, the overlaying trees marked no path in particular, they simply looked as a forest looking to confuse anyone to a way out.
Though the breeze blew and the crows shifted, no sound reached the young shinobi’s ears. He’d grown accustomed to this lack of sound, however. It was a welcome feeling compared to the crush of sound normally found in society. He rested, at the moment, in the center of this forsaken forest amidst the roots of the largest tree he had seen anywhere. It was enough to house him, his equipment, and his flock of crows.
There’s a breach.
There was no voice to accompany the words, the words not even truly existing. It was merely a feeling that prickled the back of young Junnou’s neck. Reaching to his lap, he drew up the forehead protector, wrapping it about his upper head with a slow air about him. His fingers ensured that his kiseru stayed tucked into the single pocket made for it on his coat. He then placed the mask he normally wore to his face, ensuring that it stayed in place with the small leather strap.
His hands deftly cinched his kunai belts about his legs, making them tight on his thighs. They then worked to his senbon, ensuring each was within his grasp, yet not likely to fall from the hem by themselves. He did not do this for each senbon, however, for that would have taken too much time. This was his forest, his alone. No one else should be here, he felt, and he would take only enough time to ensure he was properly prepared before he moved.
His thread spools rattled off a small length as he touched them on his belt, the smoke bomb pouch being harassed by his fingers for a moment, as well. He then grabbed the one box that was so dangerous…he had placed all of his exploding tags into that one box, keeping them pristine, though it was also dangerous. It hooked into a special holster on his belt, allowing him access to the tags one at a time. With a quick click, he strapped his belt on fully, keeping his nunchaku in a holster next to the tags. His sai pair, too, rested in their own small holsters, within easy reach of his hands.
Placing his palms, bandaged as they were, to the soil, he pushed himself out of his sitting position and onto his feet. He tottered for a brief moment, then steadied himself, grabbing his staff. The staff was more for support than anything. He was not so accomplished with it as he was with his smaller weapons. As he moved towards the root exit, his flock took wing, rising in a black cloud to flit about above him.
From below, Junnou needed only to tilt his head back to watch the two corpses of his last intruders swing, a noose around their necks. His eyes, stolen as they were, closed slowly, trudging in the silent forest, able to feel, but not hear, the crunch of stone and brush beneath his soles. The walk was a short one, the intruder having pushed deeper into his sanctum than the others had before being detected.
His flock rounded the tree before their master did, Junnou’s Byakugan eyes already scanning over this new intruder through the gloom. He had avoided the pool of water, skirting its edge for now, shaking his head slowly. His eyes didn’t lie…this was no false alarm as the last had been. There really was an intruder. He leaned on his staff, long coat making him appear as if he were an old man with his hunched back, mask impassive as it regarded Kakashi. With slow, almost practiced movements, he used the end of his staff to write a single word.
Come.
"Teh I don't think i'm alone"
Came the spoken words, but interestingly enough, they came without sound. The abscence of sound seemed a phenomenon common throughout the forest in its entirity. His left hand swiftly dissapeared beneath light brown linen, a sort of pouch afixed to the back of his long, blue pants where one would expect an actual pocket to be.
How long have you been there.
He forgot momentarily, how the words spoken would never carry, yet in actuality his gaze never shifts, to fix upon the figure of his opponent albeit he knew where he was, or was it a feeling? It didn't matter. He knew the figure hadn't come for a chat so he knew his next move. Foop, Foop Foop, was the sound which should've accompanied two twirling kunai,
no abnormality about the kunai simply a white bandage fixated about the uppermost region of the skinny, even neck-like area of the kunai, the body for a lack of better words. The bandage accompanies both kunai as a light sidenote. Halting the rotation, simply by stilling the light rotation of his wrists, he lightly lifts his arm, flicking his wrist lightly, beneath his armpits,sending both kunai towards his opponent with deadly accuracy. Albeit one one suspect this to be a foolish gesture of superiority Kakashi felt this a neccessary movement as his opponent could possibly have some sort of ability created with eyesight.
"Whoosh" Would've came the rushing sound of wind rushing all about Kakashi, as his figure swiftly moved forward a short Shunshin no jutsu (Imagine an extreme speed) enough to send him into the middle of the lake accompanying the admittedly annoying forest. His figure came to an abrupt halt, skidding against the surface of the water. It goes without saying the appropriate chakras had been added to his feet as to afix him to the surface of the water.
A series of handsigns began, at extreme speeds, the extreme speeds one would expect, from a Jounin with the capabilites of a Hokage.
