Draruto sat with Rei in the darkness of his room, both lost in their miserable thoughts. Ever since their loves forcably removed themselve from their lives, they have been orbiting each other. So between their outings and the fact that she moved in to his house Draruto hadn't spoke much to Rei. "Draru-san?" Rei said, sounding hollow. Looking over Draruto raised an eyebrow in reply. "Why do we do this? Why do we share this bed, only to sleep on oppsite sides? Why?" she implored, looking back at him with those sad pain filled eyes. He just shrugs, since there is no answer to her question. 'And to be honest, I don't even know why we're doing this either.' he thought, as she sat on his thighs and raised a kunai to his thoart. Draruto barely flitched at the move, she's done this before. When he didn't her an acceptable response that she wanted, Rei brought the blade up. He wondered what went through her head as she the kunai to his thoart. "What Rei, going to kill me, go ahead, I'm already dead." he said, his deep voice holding a dead like tone that party true to how he felt most days. But just as quickly as it came, the blade dropped to the pillow and Rei, as if the fight suddenly just left her body, collasped on his chest and started to sob. Wraping her up in his arms, Draruto held her through the night until both fell to sleep two hours before Naruto and Sakura woke up.
While Sakura made breakfast, Naruto checked the online mission board that Draruto's cousin helped to put up. "Anything for us Naruto?" he heard Sakura ask from the kitchen. "Two choices, one's an intellgelence gathering in the land of sound, other one is escort mission." The pink haired ninja entered the dining/living room while mixing up some pancake batter, looking over Naruto's shoulder she skimmed over the details of both missions. "Seems a little light on major intell don't you think?" she stated, heading back towards the kitchen. "Yeah." the blonde haired boy agreed.
Draruto woke up when Rei got up and stared in to the mirror. Going and standing behind her, Draruto saw that she was staring at him through the reflection. "What Rei?" he asked. "We have to stop doing this. This is wrong for both of us. We know that we liked each other since your senior year at the academy. But we didn't do anything about it." Rei said, turning and facing him. "You know why we didn't do anything." he replied, staring into her eyes. Draruto noticed that she was breathing a little faster.
'He has the same effect on me has Sasuke. But his is stronger and more in your fac.....' she started to think, only to fade off when she caught Draruto's unwashed scent. It was diffrent, more untamed and earthy. But she never thought of it till now, Rei knows that Draruto isn't him. He is just similar is so many ways it's hard for her not to compare them. Beating around the same bush for months had them both more needy than they would openly admit. Afew minutes later both were down stairs, eating the luke warm breakfast that had been waiting for them. While the other two talked ans shared small little kisses, Draruto and Rei shared they usual silence. "Anything up?" Draruto asked, enjoying how the two jumped. "Two, recon and escort." Sakura said, as she messed with her food. "Which one do you want us to take Draru?" Naruto implored. "Escort." he heard Draruto and Rei said in unision. Not saying anything about the sudden dualness, Naruto put them down for that mission.
