Just in the last week or so, I've had to do a bit of housekeeping in the Roleplayers Wanted/Interest Check forums.

Please do not post new, individual topics every few days that link to the same RP.

You may bump your single topic, but just making new threads with increasingly desperate names is considered spam.

Just don't do it, please and thanks.

I understand we all want our RPs to get looked at, but spamming is not the answer.

Hello people of all kinds!

There is a problem...You have just posted a role play request/interest check and you're OH SO EXCITED! However five seconds after posting it a PM is sent to you and a heartfelt scream emits from you, "WRRRRRRRRRRRY!!!?" and you wonder, WTF was my topic just locked?! WHY!? What could have possibly went wrong!? These damn moderators!! Why would they do this to me!?!? (Sobs uncontrollably)

Well, there are various reasons as to why your Role Play may have been locked. We shall go through them and hopefully you will all be more mindful of what you do post.

First off, da official rulez:

5. No arguing.
   Take it to PM. Intelligent debate is welcome, but when your emotions take control of your actions, you are in violation of this rule.

Mkay, they seem pretty simple? Right? Yes, however there are also some siderules and updates. So let's get down to it.

What will get my topic locked?

Cybering - We do not condone smut, Yaoi, Yuri, Slash or anything that may lead down to the line of "Hey, let's role play our sexual fantasies!" There are many reasons as to why, I mean there are various age groups and it would be creepy making a love scene with a 47 year old guy (wouldn't it?), we're not eHarmony (This ain't a site to explore your deepest romances or desires), most of us enjoy not gagging at these kinds of things.

There has been various concerns in regards to things like "kissing" and so, the rules have been updated so that you MAY produce a SINGLE kiss. Please don't abuse this rule, =3.

Gender requests - The rule has remained the same, you may NOT request the gender of the WRITER however you may request the gender of the character. So yes, a male can play a female character and a female can play a male role. It will also lead to the belief that there is more to it then just a simple request, so please be mindful of what you request.

Slave/Master role plays - This whole "leash/collar/colors/blah/etc" stuff with abusing your slaves. Most people don't want to see it. Why? Because it is a fetish, and this is a site for Role playing or Writing. Not reading fetishes. So please be respectful to our viewing pleasures, =< Now, if the "slave/master" actually has literary value then it is acceptable, for example you can role play slavery in America because it is not something revolving around fetishes (for the most part) and is readable. =3

Yaoi, Yuri, Slash - We get this question a lot. "OMG!? I can't play a GAY character!? Are you being discriminating?!?!?!" or something along those lines. To clear the air, there is no rule against playing a gay character. Yaoi, Yuri and Slash are not a meaning for just gay characters but are in fact a meaning for gay sex, at least that's what you get when you look them up. So therefore, they will be locked because that is how it is generally viewed as.

IM requests - We are no longer allowing IM requests. The Role Players wanted/Interest check boards are for people seeking other people to fill in slots in regards to a current/possible role play. We want you to be open to exploring friendships through RPG and grow as a community. Seeking people for IM role play does not serve that purpose and it is a form of advertising personal information which is something we do not support. As of now, all role plays seeking IM (Aim, Msn, Yahoo, etc) role plays will be locked and removed.

One on One/Private Roleplays - We want you guys to start using proper titles instead of 1x1s, One on Ones or Private(User and user). Yes, you are allowed to have a roleplay with one person or 2 however please keep in mind that we just want you guys to give us proper titles.

Creating multiple topics - If the topic is considered to be "the same topic" then it will be considered spam and will therefore be locked. Just bump your topic if it hasn't gotten the attention you want. Again, try not to abuse this allowance: This is a forum, after all, and expecting 5 replies within the hour is just unrealistic. Ideally, try to reserve bumps for after you've filled some spots but you still need a few more.

OOC topics - Should not be here. Why? This isn't the OOC board!
