Info of me:
Name: Adam
Gender: Male (duh)
Age: 13 (yup I'm young)

This thing better be worth it. After sitting on a bus next to a smelly pig farmer (I don't even know WHY he was on there), then being in a cramped train cabin, then almost getting sea sick from the boat, and then in a plane that doesn't even serve a packet of peanuts! But finally, stepping off the plane I was there. (Hang on, should we be talking in first person or third person? I'll be in first person for now.) I looked around, wondering where I'm supposed to go. A man stood behind me, and tapped me on the shoulder. With me being afraid of my own shadow, I freaked out.

"HOLY JESUS CHR-oh, sorry, you are?" I said, very embarresed. Embarressment shouldn't be too bad for me, seeing as I am a nerd, glasses and all.

"Age, name, please." the man said flatly. He obviously wasn't enjoying his job.

"Adam Yan, thirteen. And cheer up man, it's the Bahamas! Live a little." I said jokingly, nudging him in the shoulder. The man growled. GROWLED FOR PETE'S SAKE! Maybe my cheerful disposition wasn't good here. Or at least to him.

"Room 459, here's your key." the man said, shoving a key into my hand. I quickly scurried away to the hotel. I overheard some people saying "Room 113, room 127," why the heck do I have such a high number? I heard footsteps behind me, so I turned around, only to see the man walking up to me.

"I gave you the wrong room name and key." he said, still flat. I handed back my key, and he handed me a new one. "We accidently reversed the numbers, you're in room 954."

WHAT!? THERE'S A THOUSAND ROOMS HERE!? WHAT KIND OF A PLACE WAS THIS?!

"Uh-uh-uh sir, how many rooms are there?" I stuttered.

"954." he responded. My jaw hit the sandy beach below my feet. I walked away, still dazed by what the man said. Either he didn't like me, or I had terrible luck.

I finished unpacking my stash of travel foods, which consisted of nutella, peanutbutter, noodle cups & candies of all sorts. I was nearly finished unpacking my clothes; surprisingly I brought more food than I did clothes. I guess that means I need to go shopping. they said everything here is paid for, did they not? I was on floor ten-ish. I don't really know. They have these guys in the elevators who ask for your room number, and they operate the number pad in the elevator for you. I was too astonished to even check the floor number he hit. I am a fail.

I decided to take a walk down the hallway, to see who I'd bump into. Oh, what a creative mind of mine. Like those scenes in those horribly written movies, where the new girl "accidentally" gets bumped into by the super cute jock of the school who every girl wants.. and then the girl "accidentally" drops her books all over the place, so the jock helps her pick them up and they "accidentally" touch hands. Yeah. Only here, I wasn't in a highschool, there aren't any guys who are seriously wanted - yet - and I didn't have any books I could drop.

I locked my room door, and took a stroll down the hallway, and decided there wasn't anyone even on this floor. "Damn." I muttered, half smiling.

(Hmm... 1st person or 3rd? I need a coin, hang on a sec... 3rd person it is.)

Josh walked up to his room. He stood about 5'10" and weighed in at 190 lbs, though he looked like he weighed less. He was wearing a plain, navy blue T-shirt and khaki pants with worn white tennis shoes. His hair was dirty blond and in a short yet thick mess. On his face was a pair of glasses with a relatively thin silver frame.

He looked at his room number. 333? That's awesome. My favorite three digit number. Unlocking the door, he stepped inside. It was comfortable room, with all one would expect from a nice hotel. After dropping his suitcase in the corner he made his way over to the window. He was several floors up, maybe 4 or 5. He had a nice view of the ocean, which he was thankful for. He checked his pockets for all the usual things he kept in them. Wallet, iPod, earbuds, cell phone, and his signature item, a pocket watch. They were all there.

He took out his watch, kept in his back right pocket. It was nice watch. It had a fairly ornate cover, with a gold piece in the middle surrounded by gold ring. Whether or not it was actually gold he didn't know, but he doubted it was. The edge of the cover had a pattern which, upon close inspection, could be identified as a floral pattern, something he normally didn't like. He opened the watch. The face itself was actually quite simple, consisting of a white background with roman numerals around the edge, except for the six, which had been replaced with the manufacturers name. What made it truly beautiful was the hole in the middle of the face that showed the gears and mechanisms of the watch, including, of particular interest, the spring which powered the device, spinning back and forth, rapidly, yet in perfect time.

Josh put the watch away. What to do first? he thought. He suddenly realized he was hungry. Very hungry, actually, now that he noticed it. Food, definitely. I hope they have sushi. He walked out of his room, locked the door, and continued on his way to where he hoped he would find some place with food.
"The night sky full of cries. Hearts filled with lies.
The contract, is it worth the price?
A soul pledged to the darkness.
Now I've lost it, I know I can kill.
The truth is just beyond the Gate!"

I stumbled out of the stairwell, suitcase dragging behind. Finally, 19th floor.

"It's very stupid that they don't even have an elevator." I said to myself. BUT LOOK! AN ELEVATOR MAGICALLY APPEARS! I just walked 19 floors, just to find out there was an elevator. What. The. Heck. I dragged my suitcase to the farthest room, my room. I mumbled under my breath as I turned to key. After such a long walk, you would think there would be a nice comfy bed. There was. But I wasn't the only one in the room. There were huge five inch long cockroaches running around on the floor. What. The. Heck. Even worse, they flew. They weren't cockroaches, they were Pallmetto Bugs. Regular cockroaches I can live with, cause I'm not looking at my feet when I walk. But these flew. FLEW FOR PETE'S SAKE! I don't want bugs all around my face! I immediately turned around, and walked to the elevator. The man working the elevator had a smile. Finally, someone who was happy.

"Lobby please," I said.

"Sure," the man said, and away the elevator went. "Umm, sir, you have a bug on your back."

I stood quiet. Then flipped out. It didn't want any of those freakishly flying bugs on me! Who knows where they've been!? The lobby quickly came and I ran out, trying to get the bug off.

"Oh, false alarm, it's just some lint." the elevator worker said and pulled off some lint. I grabbed my suitcase and went to the reception desk.

"My room has a huge colony of bugs." I said.

"Well they won't eat much." the woman behind the desk said with a laugh.

"GIVE ME A DIFFERENT ROOM!" I yelled. She stopped laughing.

"I'll need your key..." she said quietly. I then remembered, the key was still upstairs. What. The. Heck.

I ended up on the second floor. There was most of the main attractions and shit there. Lounge, Bar, Cafeteria.. it was all there. Including a McDonalds. "Scheisse. No money." I mumbled to myself, frowning. I walked past the McDonalds, and stopped for a few seconds. I slapped myself in the forehead and laughed. Everything was paid for. I walked up to the counter, and ordered a big mac. The cashier lady looked at me and raised an eyebrow. "Yes, a bigmac." I said smiling. I loved McDonalds - maybe a little too much? The lady shrugged, and yelled to the back for a big mac.

I sat down on a comfortable couch which I sank into and nearly disappeared into. "Big mac?" The lady called afer five minutes or so. I waved my hand, and she brought it over, with a knife and fork. A knife.. and a fork.. to eat McDonalds? I giggled when the lady walked away and tucked the dull knife and fork into the bottom of the couch. As if I'd ever use utensils for fast food. I mean, come on now!

As I ate, I looked around at the lounge/bar/cafeteria. it was so modern looking, with near to bare walls. Only a few painting hung on them. "Awesome." I mumbled to myself with my mouth full.

((Oo~ This sounds interesting. I shall join.))

Name:......Don't trust the Internet. Abira(Alias). Kitty is my nickname.
Age: 13. That's fine, right?
Gender: Female of course.
Human?:........I think I am. But, my friends don't.....Hee~

~*~*~*~*~

“Whoa..”

Abira looked up at the large Hotel, whistling at the size. She grinned though, gripping her backpack before running into the Hotel, the revolving doors spinning as she zoomed in. “Hah! My friends are gonna be so jealous!” She said to herself, pushing a button as the elevator door opened. “I told them they should have signed up for Role Play Gate Way, but nooo”. There was no one there, that was good. At least she could find out what room she was in now. “Let's see....Room 123 on the 4th floor, 5th hallway......” She read to herself, trailing off. Well, how ironic. 12345, easy to remember in her case. Yay, no studying to remember her numbers! Really, she had horrible memory. She couldn't even remember her cell phone number.

As the elevator stopped with a chime, she walked out, curiosity filling her Hazel eyes. She spotted the 5th hallway, and that way she went. “123.....123....123....123!” She exclaimed, standing in front of a door. If anyone stared at her right now, they would be seeing a ten year old kid. Well, she couldn't blame herself for being short and having a childish personality, sometimes. She slid her card through the door knob like thing, and the door opened with a low beep. She entered, closing the door behind her as she took her hat off, observing her surroundings. “Daang...” She muttered to herself. She was sure she wasn't in a normal hotel. She took her hat off, throwing it aside as her black hair was messy and in a ponytail. She jumped onto her bed, snuggling in the covers as she sighed. “This will be one heck of a vacation..”

She grabbed her backpack, throwing her clothes all over the place. Who said she was neat? Pfft. She grabbed her laptop, setting it in front of her as she searched for a wireless signal. She beamed as she found tons, and they were unsecured! Freedom! No parents, no school, just freedom! Man, for once she was glad she was alive. She closed the laptop though, setting it aside. Right now, she was itching to have an adventure around this place. Who knows what this hotel have in store for her? She grabbed her hat again, plopping it on her as she spinned it around to make it backwards. With that, she went out. Hopefully no one would bother to notice her, she needed stealth in cases like this. She closed the door behind her, walking back but blinking blankly. So, which way was the main hallway again?

She stood amidst the chaos of the docks. Edelle, as she chose to be known. Seagulls pecked at fat, sniveling children holding ice cream, and old women in nylon jackets walked by, enjoying the morning air. She breathed out a long, contented sigh. Traveling was not her cup of tea, especially with so many different modes of transportation, which all seemed to want to destroy her. The bus had been the first competitor, its strategy: rattle her organs around violently. Unfortunately, it had lost. She had vomited on the seat, though, as a form of revenge. After that, the train, which went rather smoothly, until the deafening roar of the wheels screeching along the tracks became tiresome. She had won that battle, also, using her trusty MP3 to drown out the noise.
Now here she was, facing her second to last opponent. The boat. She walked aboard the crowded vessel casually, and sat down by a window. She looked around, hoping that other people from the gateway were here, as she was getting bored of traveling alone. When everyone was settled down, the boat started to move. Besides the chatter of a few groups if people, it was silent. This was the perfect time. She stood up, cleared her throat and yelled out “Everybody here just lost the game!” She laughed at the simultaneous disappointed groans of the other passengers, and many people glared at her. She smiled.

This would be a fun vacation.
No, I was serious about that whole city hall/fire thing...

I got up from the couch and left my wrapper on the coffee table. They have people to clean these places, right? I laughed to myself and decided to become the welcome wagon. I headed down towards the main lobby. I lurked around a while, before seeing a few people. I walked over to someone with the name, "Mistuhide Akechi." "Hullo thurr." I said, smirking. "I'm hailey. And you are...?" I asked, trailing off. I stuck my hand out and waited for it to be shaken by the stranger.

Kayla started to walk toward the elevator. She was still dazzled by the hotel. She stepped into the elevator. A worker turned to her. "What floor?" He asked. "2, please" She smiled. The man turned back to the buttons of the elevator, and pressed '2'. After the elevator quickly ascended, Kayla stepped out of the elevator and thanked the man. She was now skimming the halls, looking for her room..
"Here it is!" She said. Kayla put the key in the lock and turned it. Excited, she opened the door. Inside, the room was just as beautiful as the lobby. The walls were painted white, and the decor consisted of a few dressers, a table and chair, and a cozy looking bed [with a mint on the pillow], and two doors, which were probably a closet, and a bathroom.

She couldn't believe this was happening. All of this? For Roleplaying? Her hobby payed off, but it was all too good to be true. Kayla pinched herself just to make sure. "Yup. I'm awake." She said. "Now what to do.."
Within seconds she was jumping on the bed.
"I LOVE ROLEPLAYGATEWAY!" She yelled laughing.
She got off, and quickly took out her laptop. She logged on to Roleplay Gateway, and went to the 'Main Lobby'.

She created a post:
'HEY! WHO ELSE IS ENJOYING THE HOTEL SO FAR!? =D'

She put her laptop down and went over to a clear door; it was a balcony!
This made her even happier. She opened the door and walked onto it. She wasn't that high up, but it was still great.

The breeze carressed her face. She closed her eyes, this was like a dream come true..

Josh stepped onto the first elevator he could find. When asked what floor, he said "any floor with food." The worker pushed a button and the elevator descended. After a few moments, it opened again, and Josh stepped out. He examined his surroundings, finding a good selection of food choices. He looked for a Japanese place, but was unable to find one. What? No Japanese? This is RP Gateway we're talking about for Pete's sake! He wanted sushi, but it didn't look like there was any around. Perhaps he just missed it? It's true that he was never the most observant person in the world. Another look around, and he saw nothing. With a sigh, he settled for Chinese. Walking up to the counter of a nearby Chinese place, he ordered some beef chow mien, which was promptly given to him. Reflexively, he reached for his wallet, but then he remembered that everything was free. This still seemed too good to be true, but, hey, someone gives you a free vacation, you don't ask too many questions.

Josh sat at an empty table. He broke his chopsticks apart, taking note of how clean the break was, and started eating. It was delicious, far batter than one would expect from a place that looked like a food court.

Wes was sitting in his driveway in an old, beatup, partially rusted pickup truck, sprawled out over the seats with the driver's side door open, messing around on his friend's lap-top computer. He lived in a half segregated, half cultural, middle class neighborhood deep in the south. The CD player in the truck was turned up so that the whole entire block could hear it playing, since he cared more about the system than the battery. Wes was listening to "Cant Believe It" by Lil Wayne and T-Pain, a slow hip-hop R&B jam, bobbing his head up and down to the beat while typing on the keyboard. His homies were standing outside in the front yard, drinking beer bottles and smoking cigarettes while engaging in drunken chatter. A couple of his homegirls were present, but not all of them, and Keesha was singing along to T-Pain while dancing in a little white mini skirt. All of the guys were used to her by now, and Wesley was more pre-occupied with his lyrics, as he typed away on the keyboard, the loud music drowning out all other sounds and distractions around him. Some of his friends thought he was a nerd, and called him so, but he didn't care and they knew it.

The look in his eyes suggested some type of struggle that he had been through, and survived. Everybody in his mama's yard was certified as far as hood respect, otherwise they wouldn't have been there for the gar they were passing around. It was a typical boring day in the neighborhood, just like any other day. The recession in the United States had caused serious effects on their economy, so their gas prices and job markets suffered as a result. Wesley didn't have a regular job, and was doing whatever work he could for money. Sometimes he was lucky enough to land a temporary job in neighborhood lawn service or house repair, but when that didn't work he was forced to rob or sell drugs. He knew that nothing in life was free, and that he had better find a way to get cash somehow if he wanted to keep going. Despite the neighborhood's appearance, he wasn't exactly a rich white boy. There was hardly ever any food in the house, and every other night the cops would drive by slowly to observe his activities. Wesley hated his lifestyle, and dreamed of some day being lifted away from the hood. He imagined himself as a famous story writer, lyricist, or rap supertar, going off to become famous while one day giving something back to his neighborhood.

Just then, Wesley's mom came outside and walked up to the driver's side door, where Wes's leg was dangling lazily. She yelled at him to turn the music down, but he just turned the volume up instead. His mom slapped him and he chuckled, turning the music down as she walked out to the road to check the mailbox. One of his homeboys walked up to him, laughing while passing him the roach from the cigar. Wesley smiled at his mom and hit the weed right in front of her, but his mom just shook her head and shuffled through the mail in her hands. She walked past the truck and tossed a white envelope into Wes's lap with his name on it, before going back inside the house. Wesley opened the envelope, and nearly choked on the roach.

Lucky for dear little Abira, she had a good sense of direction. She found her way back to her room, and with that, retraced her steps to the elevator. “Success!” She yelled, punching her fist into the air. You can't blame a happy kid. She pressed the button again as the elevator came up with a ding. But when it opened, she saw a man inside. He seemed to be working here, since he was wearing a uniform like dress, and smiled very nicely. Instantly, Abira put on a straight face, nodding as she went in. “First floor please...” She said to the man, and he nodded. “First floor it is.” It was a silent ride, but mostly because Abira was pretty much spaced out. Yes, indeed she was putting an act on, but she was just introverted that way. The elevator stopped again and the man tilted his hat. “Thank you!” He said and she just nodded, walking out of the elevator. Quickly, she walked over to a couch, plopping herself in as she observed her surroundings. All she saw were tons of people. .....I'm claustrophobic though..

Her stomach growled and she blinked. She didn't pay any attention to it actually, she didn't get hungry just because her stomach growled. Anyways, she was used to being starved, it helped her save a lot of money actually. She flipped out her phone, clicking on 'Missed Alerts' as she saw a text message. HEY! 8D Hope your having fun, you jerk, leaving me behind xP Just kiddin! Anyways, we all say hi! She smirked at that, sending in a little message back as she flipped her black phone shut. Well, it wasn't her fault. They were the ones who didn't listen.

She sniffed the air, her sensitive nose catching the scent of prey. Well, food in human case. Alright, she was officially hungry. And guess what? She could eat as much candy as she waned! Hurrah! She stood up, her face completely blank but inside her head, she was jumping for joy. Man she was glad to be a Leo. She could pull off any emotion. Hah! Well, except for one.

She grinned, stopping in front of Panda Express. “Here I come Teriyaki Chicken!” She ordered her order, of course, and happily hummed her way back to an empty table. She sipped on her fruit punch slightly, before staring at her food. She felt a little lonely though, she had no friends here. She sighed. Well, it wasn't like she was going to do any project or whatever, as long as human interactions were far away from her, she would be fine. She brought out her iTouch, scanning through her list of songs. All the songs were Japanese, all of them. Except for a selected few, those were English. She picked Paper Moon by Tommy heavenly6, she liked that song for some reason. She connected her iTouch to the Internet, maybe someone posted something interesting on RPGateway. Grabbing her fork, she plopped a piece of chicken in her mouth as she put the address code in, and waited as it loaded. She blinked, looking at the 'Recent Threads' section. Someone posted about the hotel, nice! She grinned, entering her own little message. Heh, I absolutely am. Who would say no to free food and getting away from parents? She sent it in, going back to the now playing list.

I walked around the lobby, seeing there were only a few people who had arrived so far. "Daamn." I mumbled to myself, flinging my blond hair out of my face. I walked back up to my room, and slid the key card into the door. I sat on the bed and stared at the computer. Free internet service? I think so! I started up the computer, and turned on the screen. I logged onto MSN, and roleplaygateway. Surprisingly, someone had made a thread about it. "Schveet mama pancakes!" I said to myself, clicking the link. I read the first post, and added another, saying "Holy mothers, I'm enjoying it. Free internet service! Free McDonalds! FREE EVERYTHING. I haven't met anyone yet, though. XD" I clicked post, and sat atthe computer desk for a few minutes and watched some television.

Edelle stood up and walked to the front of the boat. She didn't see anyone from roleplay gateway here... not that she'd recognize their faces, but they'd probably be doing weird things like running around screaming and throwing cream puffs everywhere. She yelled out "I'm on a boat! I'm on a boat! Everybody look at me 'cause I'm sailin' on a boat!" and her words dissolved into hysterical laughter. She got many strange looks from other passengers, but a few people got the joke and laughed. She sat down again and listened to songs by Aqua at an ungodly volume.

[Okay, I guess some info is in order: My name is Matthew, I'm 18 years old, I'm Male, and I'm human]

Convincing the parents that this trip was legit was impossible - No matter how many fabrications you come up with, heading off the Bahamas on a free trip provided by a dodgey forum site (their words) wasn't gonna fly with them. What do you do when a chance like this arises and your parents are against it? Lie. Lie and lie again - then lie some more! Pretty soon, you've touched down in paradise with your folks convinced you’re spending some time at your mate's house - Can we say win? We can.

The number of planes arriving was a incredible - so many we just touching down - other circling the landing strip waiting for their own arrival, but with people arriving from all across the globe could you expect any less? So after a day’s travel the plane touched down "Good afternoon Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the Bahamas" every curtain on the plane simultaneously drew themselves back revealing the grand Utopia "We hope you enjoyed your flight and look forward to flying with you again." Everyone rushed for their bags egger to get a close-up look of the resort; not going to deny that I was one of them. "Did you enjoy your flight?" chimed the air-hostess, "The curtain thing was nice touch," I replied with a short smile glue to my face, "The captain's favourite device in this plane," she chuckled superficially, "Aye, I'm sure it is...Bye then," I said, offering an awkward giggle, before bounding down the steps.

"GOOD AFTERNOON, SIR!" a man called to me, "DID YOU ENJOY YOUR FLIGHT?"
"Yeah, my ears had poped yet, but you just made my day," I replied a little sarcastically,
"I HOPE SO!" he chuckled broadly. The man's eagerness and sheer volume was starting to agitate me a little, "Seriously, you're breaking the sound barrier with that voice - tone it down, could you please?"
"Certainly!"
"Better, I'll be going now-"
"Ah, wait! I'll need your name and age,"
"Well, my name's Matthew, but is my age really necessary?"
"Only if you want it to be, haha!" the man chuckled. However, sensing my alarm he soon composed himself, "I'm afraid it is necessary."
"Ok, eighteen."
"Thank you! Let’s see...Ah! Here we are: Matthew...Room 231, here is you key!"
I took the key from the man a little apprehensively, and looked it over...It looked like sterling silver, "Room 231 - got it, cheers mate."
"Thank you!" he announced giving a bow.
("God, I'd hate to have that job") I thought to myself, wandering off to find the lobby.

I was scared the whole time on the plane. terrified. the hunk of metal was going to fall out of the sky, at least thats what I thought. I jumped off the plane as quickly as I could and went to the cruise ship. "holy crap this place is huge" I said as I entered the main lobby. "er, hi?" I said to the lady at the desk.
"name?" she said in a heavy english accent
"gabz" I said quickly.
"screen-name?"
"gabzlikesmusic" she did a little tsk and flipped through a file, she brought out a key, it showed the fall out boy album infinity on high and my screen-name underneith
the english lady saw me look at it funny. "that is you avatar, right?"
"oh, ya"
"so no one steals it" she said matter-of-factedly.
"okay . . . ."
"room 312, go, go! NEXT!"
"okay. . . ." I went up to my room and emptied my small suite case, I kept my back pack all packed up though if I had to make a break for it, "well, a strange start, to a strange while" I mumbled.
"there needs to be a word for those brief moments of clarity where you realized just how profoundly weird your life is"
"I take medication to prevent those moments. Want some?"
