David and Lori were still wandering aimlessly through the trees, exploring the island. Lori walked a few steps ahead, focussing all her energy on getting as far away from the others as she could, while David fell into step a little way behind her, a concerned look on his face.
"Rett..?"
"What?"
"We're lost, aren't we?"
"No, course not."
"Then where the hell are we?"
"I...I don't know." She said, slowing down a little as she looked around. "But we're not lost..."

David rolled his eyes at her, and was about to argue back when he heard a familiar voice from behind a tree.
"Follow me.." He said, pushing the leaves aside and leading her toward the voices.

The first thing Lori noticed was the sound of trickling water, and when she scanned the little clearing, her violet eyes locked onto a small waterfall.
"Wow..."

Seeing A little playing in the water, David looked around for more people. He'd definitely heard a guy's voice. Finally, he saw one of his and Lori's friends.
"Justin! How's it going, man?" He yelled, running over to his friend with a grin.

Flick smiled at the idea that seemed virtually impossible. He was stuck between growing out of his childish ways and being mature. Of course, Flick purely enjoyed being a child much more than a responsible adult. If they stayed, no one could boss them around, they could make a society of kids themselves. That could work, couldn't it?

Haunted, eh? "Maybe," Flick shrugged, though his mind kept thinking about it. Haunted, magic, whatever this place was, it was fascinating to the young twelve year old boy. "Probably only if someone lived here before. Maybe theres cave drawing or something!" He continued to muse on all of their ideas becoming more excited each passing moment.

"Maybe!" Jode agreed enthusiastically. He peered up into the nearest cave, but the utter blackness was oppressing and he leaned away from it. "Um, obviously we'd need torches or fire or something before we could explore the caves," he said as casually as possible, trying to pretend he wasn't afraid.

The climb became harder and he stopped talking, but all of a sudden the slope became less steep and then they were standing on the summit, feet in the cool grass. The Sun was hot this high up, but there was also a stronger wind and Jode felt it whip through his spiky white-blonde hair as he did a 360 on the spot, looking out at the whole island.

Alexa glanced up, and frowned as two older kids entered the clearing. She wanted this to be her own special place, and already two people had found it. "Uh hi.." Alexa blinked, her eyes narrowing. Ignoring them, she leaned back, floating in the pool, thinking of food.

Justin was sitting on a rock, until he heard a familiar voice. Turning around, he saw David and smiled, "Surprised that you two would find me here", he grinned, getting up off the rock, and looking at the water. "It seems really nice here, so maybe staying won't be too bad". Remembering the crying girl from earlier, he turned to Lori, "You know that girl who was trying to lead, maybe you should go try to talk to her, I'm not so uh...you know, not the greatest person at talking", Justin hinted a little bit. "

Lori ignored the little girl playing in the water, and slowly followed David toward Justin, wrinkling her nose at his suggestion to go and talk to the bossy girl.
"Why would I do that?" She said, frowning. "That girl is such an arse, Justin."

Rolling his eyes at his best friend's stubbornness, David tried to talk her out of her temper.
"C'mon Retta... she might be a pain, but she's the only chance any of us have got... after all, none of the rest of us have the first idea when it comes to survival."
"You're not going to let this go, are you?"
"Nope."
"Urgh...fine." She said, turning her gaze to Justin again. "Where is she?"

"Wicked," Flick grinned as he turned and saw the veiw. You could see practically everything; The lagoon-type area, where they could see a few dots, people that were on their ship, and the beach where they came in. On the other side looked like another island, water covered sand shallow enough to travel to it. "Maybe this place is magical," Flick mused as he sat down on the rock, rubbing his bare feet free of the dirt and sand.

Whilst looking around the ship, a loud sound caught Ivy'sattention, frightening her slightly. She looked down, seeing no one near on the beach. It was impossible one of them on the island could have made the sound being far out. When she looked up, Ivy discovered incoming storm clouds getting loud and boisterous above them all. Her face scrunched, wondering what to do, she couldn't find everyone quick enough to get them back to the boat.

"You don't have to if you don't want to", Justin pointed out, but then smiled when David convinced her to go. "I'll go too, I don't exactly know, but she should be in that direction", he said, vaguely pointing to the opposite side of the creek. Beginning to walk, Justin looked at the ground, seeing that someone had trampled the things in front him. "Over here guys", he called, "I think she went this way", Justin pointed out, as he still followed the trampled plants.

David nodded when Justin offered to go with Lori.
"I'll stay here, I don't think it's a good idea to leave her alone.." he said, nodding his head toward the girl in the water.
"Alright, catch you later." Lori said softly, waggling her fingers in a goodbye at him before walking off with Justin.

They followed the tail of mangled flora, picking their way over bits of debris that lay all over the place.
"Jesus Christ!" She commented, climbing over a particularly large bush, which had been thoroughly trampled. "It looks like someone's been through here with a bulldozer!"

"Her." Alexa mimicked, groaning inwardly as she sat up in the water with a splash glaring at the boy. "In case you haven't noticed, I'm a twelve year old girl with a name, not a sea sponge." Or a rock-not-a-coconut. Ducking under the water, Alexa tried to swim in the shallow water, and managed to reach a deep area where she could almost dive under.

"See ya David", Justin said, as he walked through. Hearing Lori yell, he looked at a large, trampled bush, "Damn", he muttered, "She must have been angry". Continuing to walk, he looked up to see the girl, standing near a thick grove of palm trees. "There she is", he whispered, nudging Lori a bit, "Can you go talk to her? And ask what's wrong too", he said, moving out of view of the girl, but so that he could see everything that was going on, in case something happened.

"Storm clouds," said Jode, pointing. He looked at Flick. "We have to get off the mountain." Right now, they were the highest point.

Lightning strikes the highest point.

"Come on. We have to move."

He started scrambling down the rocky slope, hoping Flick was with him.

"Huh?" Flick mummbled stupidly before standing up and looking at the sky. Dark purplish clouds were begining to form over the island, thunder started to roar a little distance out. Flick pulled himself up quickly and followed behind Jode quickly. His feet were sore now that he had rested, but nothing to complain about, he could make it back. "No one set up a camp!" Flick hollared as he picked up into a run besides Jode as it began sprinkling. It would be unconfortable, but they would all have to squish inside the ship.

They crashed through the forest, finally breaking out of the dense foliage onto an area of beach a good mile from the ship. Jode started sprinting along the sand, heading for the sanctuary of the boat. He could see other people on the beach and knew that there were more in the jungle. He hoped they could reach the ship in time.

Finally, he skidded to a halt on the sand and clambered back up onto the ship, ducking under the deck. Maria followed, going back to her own room and feeling scared as thunder crashed overhead. Jode grinned at Flick.

David frowned a little as the girl ducked under the water, and hasitly pulled off his shoes and socks before jumping in after her. The girl had reminded him she had a name, but hadn't thought to tell him what it actually was. which seemed a little dumb in his eyes. Still, he'd stayed behind to watch her, not to let her get drowned.

He followed after her, swimming below the surface of the water in a few quick, strong strokes, and bobbed up beside her a moment later. He pushed his soaking wet, rather long hair off his face and smiled sheepishly at her before giving the introductions another try.
"Er..hi? I don't think we've met... I'm David?"

Lori's gaze followed where Justin was pointing, quickly finding Annie's form as the girl stood near a cluster of palm trees.
"Right...stay here." She hissed quietly to him, not wanting him to follow behind her, and walked toward the other girl cautiously.
"Um.. It's Annie, right?..listen, we got off to a bad start earlier, I was wondering if maybe we could start over?..I'm Lori by the way."

((Sorry guys, been a bit busy with life.))

Annie was trying to keep her mind occupied. She'd been lost for a little while and had decided to head back to the beach. Luckily she found it, but her face turned sour, she didn't want to talk to anyone right now. They all seemed so fine having fun. So instead she just sat down in a cluster of palm trees. She looked up surprised though to see the girl from earlier. "Hi, oh yeah, I'm sorry, I shouldn't have been that harsh," she said dejectedly as she looked at the others on the beach.
