Never Never Land
Co-owned by St.Jimmy and PureInsanity

Imagine a place, a ‘magical’ island if you will, where kids will stay kids forever. Fun and games all day, no adults bossing you around.

You are on a ship full of children ranging from ages five to sixteen, all of you traveling to a high-class, co-ed boarding school. Along the way, the captain dies of sudden heart attack. Upon discovering that you are all alone on this ship in the middle of the ocean, you see that not too far off is land, an undiscovered island.

Okay, that’s the basic plot. The rest of the story, and how it ends, is up to the role players. Now, of course things cannot possibly stay perfect with an island full of kids.

Rules:
-No God Modelling. This isn’t such thing as the perfect human.
-Romance is permitted, but surviving is the main element in the storyline. Don’t write anything that you wouldn’t let your mother read.
-No one-liners please. Everyone has their writer block days, I understand that, but the minimum for a post is at least three sentences.
-OCC conversations at a minimum.
-No text-talk please!

Name: Amy Herdman

Age: 14 (15 in a month, to those who care)

Appearance: Amy stands at maybe 5'5". Her hair is short and blonde, usually worn in two pigtails. Her eyes are a bright, emerald green, and she always seems to be smiling, even in the bleakest of situations. She usually wears a Green Day t-shirt and faded jeans, with white Vans she scribbled over with a marker when she was bored. She has a Green Day hoodie for when she get cold, but very rarely wears it, and when she does, she has to put the hood up, and is just about incapable of wearing it with the hood down.

Personality: Amy is bright, bubbly and hyper, and also very wierd. She's always messing about, and finds it hard to take things seriously, but once you get through to her, she becomes very solemn. She has a short fuse, but prefers to throw insults around instead of punches, although she won't say no to a good fight if the chance presents itself. Being small and skinny, she's very agile and athletic, but she has a short attention span, and very few things hold her attention for more than a few minutes, ten at the most.

Other: Amy has been a vegetarian most of her life, and refuses to touch meat at all. She loves animals, and often gets distracted by them, especially rabbits, seeing as she has eight at home. She will constantly spout utter nonsense, and isn't above making an ass of herself to cheer someone up. If there's anything she misses, it's her best friends, Alana, Lauren, Nicki and Clodagh, and her bunnies.

ooc; Expect Amy to be very random, she's based of my friend Amy in real life, and I plan to mimic her to the life, because she's my hyper bunny =D

Name: Astrid-Loretta Rousseau (goes by either Lori or Rett)
Age: 16
Appearance: Short but slim, with violet, heavy-lidded eyes and shoulder-length, curly, blonde hair that she often ties back in a high ponytail. Usually wears simple clothes, mostly just jeans and t-shirts shirts, with black converse all-stars and very little make up.
Personality: She is pretty sweet most of the time, but if you get on her bad side, you can expect sparks to fly. She has a lot more male friends than female ones, because her sense of humour and general personality fits in better with guys. She's not really that much of a tomboy, but she's more than willing to get her hands dirty and help out. Has very little patience for little kids, but for some reason they adore her.
Other: She's a strict vegetarian and has been since she was a kid, because her mother is a Buddhist.

She looks a little like this, but with different eyes and a little younger.. ^_^'' (closest thing i could find)

Name: Rayne Storm
Age: 5
Appearance: Blonde hair that falls below her shoulders. She is only around 3 foot and she has bright blue eyes.
Personality: Rayne grew up with two scientists for parents. They studied weather and the sky which interests her as well. She is upbeat most of the time but can whine alot and tends to be annoying and bratty. She is very smart for her age and isn't quiet about it. She brags alot and doesn't know when to stop. She hates waking up early or being told what to do. She gets tired easily which usually is good since she'll fall asleep at around 8pm and won't wake up until around 10am. She is very scared of bugs and most animals but she calms down when people tell her stories or she has her bear. So to sum it up, Rayne is a good, smart kid but can get annoying and bratty when she is tired or is being told what to do.
Other: Rayne carries around a stuffed bear all the time. She is a picky eater which may be a problem on the island but she likes fruits.

Name: Annie Heder
Age: 16
Appearance:

Personality: She is a leader and likes to be the leader. She knows how to organize and get plans to go according to plan thanks to her military father who brought her up in a strict fashion. Annie has a temper but is genuinely a good person. She knows plenty of survival skills, but has a hard time retrieving them from her up bringing. She falls in love easily, despite having her heart broken enough. Annie tries keeping her mind focused but is very very easily side tracked.
Other: Annie has a knack for getting lost, which is where her survival skills are most handy.

Name: Alexa "Alex" Smith
Age: 12
Appearance: Beautiful dark brown hair, half way down her back and slightly wavy, dark chocolate colored eyes and an olive complexion. About 5'1 thin, wiry, and agile. She wears a white tank top with a white tiger cub on it, and faded jean capris and brown plain flip flops, and a white baseball hat.
Personality: Friendly, and adventurous, she wanders off a lot but can be a little cocky. She's very hyper and always seems to be hungry, she has a short-temper, and hates it when anyone hurts animals. She can get quite emotional over animals, and is very argumentative.
Other: Alexa wants to be a photographer and never wants to grow up. She's very good at taming animals, and had stiches on her knee. The only animals she doesn't like, are slugs, and she shrieks everytime she sees one. And she loves to walk around without shoes.

Appearance:

Personality: He is shy somewhat, until you get to know him, but then he can be outgoing. He's pretty good at baseball, and paintballing is another favorite hobby of his. One of his biggest weaknesses is that he stinks at talking to girls his age. Also swimming is one of his worst sports.
Other: He has two scars on his back, one near his neck, and the other one near his shoulder, from being stabbed when he was 14.

I'm going to make another character later, but for now...
Name: Flick
Age: 12
Appearance: About 5’6, fair, wild, sandy hair long enough to reach his ears, hazel eyes and light nose freckles. Flick also has a long scar on his left calf that he is very proud of. Generally wears a regular tee shirt and long shorts and sneakers.
Personality: Flick is a big dreamer and has a wild imagination. He can be quite laid back, what ever happens he is okay with, but he is never one to just sit there. Flick is a very fast runner and has a good eye, but sometimes easily distracted by slight ADD.

You can start, but lets keep it slow paced for now since St.Jimmy is a little busy and I'd like more people to join before we get too far.

And I have to leave in a little bit, too, lol.

Name: Jode Carter
Age: 13 (almost 14)
Appearance: Jode has thick, white-blonde hair and bright blue eyes. He has quite a lot of freckles and has a scar under his left eye from an accident on his bike when he was six years old. He usually wears anything Green Day with baggy jeans. He's a fast runner but he's best at swimming, where he can hold his breath for long periods of time and swim deep down.
Personality: Jode is pretty quiet. He has the potential to be a good advisor because he doesn't spend too much of his time joking about and is quite serious. He likes a laugh when there is one, but he isn't strong-willed enough to be an actual leader. He occasionally has panic attacks.

Name: Maria Bennett
Age: 15
Appearance: Long, wavy brown hair and dark eyes. Her skin is olive coloured and she is pretty but very quiet. Maria usually wears jeans and floaty tops, even though she is painfully shy.
Personality: Extremely quiet. Maria has mild OCD and has to have things in an order otherwise she gets very upset.

Panic was rip-roaring the length of the ship. Kids went crazy when there was no one to tell them that everything was okay, and everything was definitely not okay. The Captain had had a heart attack and no one knew where they were anymore. Clambering up onto the deck, Jode looked out and saw land in the distance. A small island, it seemed. They'd drifted into its waters just as the Captain had suffered his heart attack and now the current was bringing them ever closer.

Jode called out from where he was standing. "We're headed for land!" He wondered how many people heard him.

Annie looked around, she knew how to keep a cool head in times of panic. She quickly became agravated as the kids ran about screaming, some crying. "Just shut up!" she screamed over them as they quieted down. She was very irritated as she marched down the ship. She knew a little bit about ships, hopefully she could get them docked without crashing. She took control, feeling bad for the captain. What a horrible way to go. She sighed and began to tug at the wheel as she began to attempt the ship into an easy current that would let them drift smoothly towards the island instead of hitting the jagged rocks that surrounded some of it.

Jode felt the ship turn like someone was back in control. He climbed down into the cabin and saw a girl taking charge.

"Do you know what you're doing?" he said quietly.

Maria was down in her room, clutching her knees and feeling terrified. Everything was wrong. When would she get home? She stood up and climbed up on deck, and saw an island coming ever closer. However, it seemed like someone was steering now, and she was relieved. Maybe the Captain had survived after all.

Maybe not.

Amy had been running around screaming like a wild woman, but that wasn't because she was panicking. Oh, no that was because it added to the chaos, and chaos was only fun. There had been a split second where she'd though 'I'm never going to see those four again,' thinking about her best friends, but then someone had apparently regained control of the boat, and she felt fine. Leaning over the railings, she felt slightly sick, and spat into the ocean, feeling a little better after she'd gotten rid of some of the phlegm in her chest. She always got sick a lot. Her mother was always complaining it was because she didn't eat meat, but Amy point blank refused to touch it, and she felt fine. The crazy bitch had no idea what she was talking about. Seeing an island come into view, she watched as it got closer, her blonde fringe whipping around in the wind.

Annie looked up at the boy. "Uh, I think so," she said a little unsure. "At least, enough so we don't die," she said exasperated as she had to turn the ship sharply to avoid collision with a rock. "Why did he have to go and get himself killed?!" she asked annoyed and irritated as the Captain lay on the ground a few feet from her. "Honestly, the man could've made sure we were safe before he let himself die." Her mood was sour as she tugged at the wheel. She wasn't as strong as she should be to steer the ship. She kept tugging on the wheel, trying to keep it on a good course.

Name:Ivy Milton
Age: (5-16) 16
Appearance: About 5'4, slender, shoulder-length wavy chocolate brown hair, deep emerald eyes and a porcelain-pale complexion.
Personality: Ivy likes things done her way, she had never been just a following sheep in the pack. She is a hopeless romantic, and very open-minded, though she can be gullible and naive. She isn't the best about explaining herself and always tries to get a deeper look inside someone's mind, not just the shallow appearance, even if the person objects.
Other: Used to be Flick's baby-sitter.

"Ivy..." a small voice came in her ear softly. "Ugh, wake up!" The voice was louder, more demanding as a large hand shook her by the shoulder. A confused look was on Ivy's face as her eyes fluttered open to see Flick's face right in front of hers.

"We're going to an island!" Flick exlaimed, a bright smile on his face. Ivy sat up, wondering if he was just playing games again. Flick sighed almost immediately as Ivy raised an eyebrow. "I'm not even kidding! The captain is dead!" he said as if that were just what he wished for. He then got up and ran towards to captains wheel where another girl was steering them towards the island. A look of awe took over Ivy's face when she saw the island directly in front of them.

"Tally-ho!!!" Flicked yelled in excitement, his right arm pointed towards the island, his other hooked on his hip proudly.

Rayne sat on the top deck peering at the water over the railing as all the chaos went about. She hugged her bear tightly and watched as they neared the island. She wondered what would happen with a bunch of kids alone on the island. Or if the island had any scary animals, or bugs. She definitly would not live with that. Rayne stood up and walked around, sitting down on a box as she looked out at the island.

Lori was alseep in the dining room when the boat finally came to an unscheduled stop on the shore of the little island, and she slid from her chair with a heavy thud, some of her blonde curls tumbling from their ponytail and over her eyes.
"Ow..." She muttered, standing up and rubbing her bruised butt. "..that really hurt.."

Muttering under her breath about the dark fate of whoever was to blame for waking her, she went out onto the top deck and looked for someone she recognised.
"What the hell is going on?" She asked, talking to no one in particular.

"We're on an island!" Flick exclaimed, answering the girl who was rubbing her bum. He then leaned over and pulled off the captains sailor hat and plopped it on his own head. The hat was a bit big for him, but he didn't care, to him it was perfect for the moment, though hereally wished it were a pirate's hat. His eyes got brighter and his smile grew the more he imagined pirates and indians on the island.

As she stood up, Ivy began to feel a bit whoosy, like this was all a dream. A hand on her head, she began towards Flick and all the other girls, seeing the dead captain. There was no blood, which particularly made her feel weak, but something about seeing a corpse was a little disturbing and unnerving. Don't flip, she ordered herself silently. "What do you mean? Why aren't we headed to the school?" she asked, though it didn't sound stupid in her mind; the answer was lying dead at her feet.

Flick rolled his eyes and turned back towards the land site and positioned his hands as if he had a telescope in them. "Ladys and Gentlemen! I welcome you to our new home!" He announced proudly as if he were the captain. "Boy, I bet this place is going to be awesome!"
