Roleplay Online with RolePlayGateway

So, as I'm sure you are all aware, the current Naruto section of this forum is dead. Now, I do not think we can stimulate it back into life, its coded, its done, its gone.

However. What I believe we can do is create a new Naruto RPing subsection. One with its own rules, and guidelines. I am a member of a few Naruto only sites, and I have a good understanding of how they work. What I personally would like to do is instigate some rules and restrictions on characters, a system of growth and levelling, and create one unified storyline, modeling the RP in the make of Hidden Village of Naruto Manga Returns, a site I am a member of, and what I believe to be the best Naruto RP on the web currently.

So, what I'm asking the mods, is to please allow me to recreate the Naruto RPing section in a way that will stimulate activity and bring in more members. If this idea is acceptable, please let me know, and I will show you my plans, and what would need to be done.

I would like to back Gabriel's request for several reasons.

1. The Naruto subsection is most definitely dead. I posted a profile, and Gabriel told me the main roleplay was dead. If you look the main thread, the last post was made July 1. Some people have posted threads that don't involve the main characters, but personally, I like to do roleplays involve the original characters. This helps you explore the characters more in a way you can't by just watching the show or reading the manga.

2. If we do get a new Naruto subsection, it needs to have more rules on creating characters. If you scroll through the profiles, some of them are just god-mods waiting to happen.

On the subject of characters, there are also many characters that were created and never used. There needs to be a more frequent cleaning of the profile's thread. There are several characters that clearly need to be deleted because their owners may only have a post count of less than five, and they joined a few months ago. This may be more of a "sweeping up," but it still needs to be done.

3. I believe that Gabriel can help make a new Naruto Subsection successful. I'm not knocking SSJHunter. I'm sorry for everything that's happened with him and that somebody in his family died. I really am. I send him my deepest apologizes if he happens to read this.

Another good idea coming from this last statement would be to put several people in charge. You could have a main moderator for the new Naruto subsection, but they may also need someone to help them in case of their absence. Life is more important than any roleplaying site, that is for certain, but if you get the right amount of help, you can make sure both run smoothly most of the time.

My plot line does not lie in current time zone for Naruto, so there will be no interaction with characters from the Manga, but other than that, I'm okay with everything you said.

The plot line would start with the world being relatively stabile. After the last great ninja war, ended by the hero and 6th Hokage, Uzumaki Naruto, a form of government ruling over and connecting all the ninja villages was created, The Common Wealth of Nations, otherwise known as The C.N. Things have gone smoothly for roughly one hundred years. Sadly, trouble looms on the horizon, in the form of a new and powerful group, seeking the destruction of the C.N, seeking to create pain, chaos, and utter havoc through out the nations. But the real threat they pose, is what their true goal is. What that is? No one knows. But the ninja of this era will have to put their lives on the line to prevent it.


Of course, no one would know of the new group until they attacked, probably during the first Chunin Exams in the RP. Then the main plot would come down. I would allow time for character creation and stabilization before the Chunin Exams, some time for people to get ahold of their character, and the style of play, some time to prepare themselves before the plot really came into play.

Gabriel, I deleted your thread in the Main Lobby about asking Mods to look at this thread. If you want to get their attention, PM them, don't make another thread.

Secondly, Moderators (those with the green names) cannot make decisions such as these. Only Admins (those with red names) can make subforums and such. So if you want their attention, PM the Administrators.

As for another Naruto subforum...I don't like Naruto, nor do I ever check the Naruto Universe, so I am no pro on this matter. But, I don't see the point in having TWO Naruto subforums.

I understand that you want to have a place that you can RP Naruto like crazy, but I think the Naruto Universe can be revived rather than creating a whole new place for Naruto stuff. Perhaps if you PM SSJHunterKiller, you can collaberate on changing some things about the Naruto Universe and revive it again? I'm sure he wants nothing more than that, as it was his creation as far as I know.

If you can get the idea popular, we'll happily create a forum for you after there is enough content to warrant a new forum.

Well the way this would work is that I would need a board for all character design sheets, all jutsus including custom jutsu submissions, one for weapons ideally though I guess I could do that with jutsus, one for clans, and then the more the better for the actual RP. It would be best to have a board for each village, with threads for the different parts of each town within these boards. This kinda roleplay doesn't really work unless you actually have the room for it.

I'll try to get it started, but it'll be difficult without the set up, and without the old Naruto Subsection being closed, seeing as no one checks it anymore since its been dead for so long. In any case, I'll do my best to get some members so I can get subsections.
