New School for the Artistic (Open to all) ( )

Postby Lucy Knox on Mon Dec 01, 2008 5:16 pm

This school has something for every artistic ability. There are four main schooling buildings, a cafeteria in the middle of a few school shops and what-not, and then the housing units. Anything that had to do with expression was there.
One building was for drawing, and anything that had to do with drawing; from drawing to sculpting. Another building was for writing, classes for all different kinds of writings from poems to novels, and fact to fiction. The last building was the biggest, it had music classes for all sorts of instruments, and also things for all kinds of dance, even an ice skating ring. Also, a school for all other classes; math, science and world studies, along with a small english class.

Anyone with any sort of artistic ability was allowed in, as long as they had a high enough level of education.

Name: Jane (Jay) Conway
Age: 17
Appearance: http://graphics.boston.com/bonzai-fba/Globe_Photo/2007/08/31/1188574178_8521.jpg
Personality: Jay is a nice, fun loving person. She loved to have fun and party, though did not do anything illegal. She got along with almost anyone, unless there was a real reason why she should not.
Artistic ability: Jay is skilled at almost everything musical. Her biggest thing is dance, mostly ballet, and ice skating. She can pick up most instruments easily, and took piano and violin lessons as a girl. Her singing is alright, and she's in choir, though never does solos or anything. However, that is all, she cannot draw for her life, and her writing was nothing special.
Other: Her family isn't rich, exactly, though they were slightly above middle class.
It's not my fault that fantasy is better than reality now, is it?

Is it so wrong that my only escape is a place that I can't even escape to?

Name: Riley Hadley

Age: 18

Appearance: Riley isn't typical. Her hair is died platinum blonde, with quite a bit of bright pink highlights. It's spiky and sweeps over her face.** For fancy affairs she has a long platinum wig. Riley is typical in body. She is at a height of 5"5 exactly and weighs around 110 pounds. In Riley's closet is a bunch of different things. You can find quite a few black skinny jeans, ankle boots, tee shirts, leather skirts, and knee high boots. She has a lot of leather, such as fingerless gloves. She also has a few regular things such as light skinny jeans, plain branded tee shirts and sneakers. Riley has a few lace up, leather dresses and other things in her closet.

Personality: Riley prefers the company of her pencils to people, especially boys. She's straight, but to her they take away from time spent on drawing. She's a loner, but she usually seems to attract odd people.

Artistic ability: Art, drawing is it. She sculpts and other junk once in a while, but drawing is her passion no matter how much it seems that she's not into that sort of thing. Once in a while she produces something nice in the way of paint to. She could dance if forced to, and could probably sing, although she's never tried it and isn't ever planing to.

Other: Riley has plenty of money, she doesn't brag, most probably because she's plotting to get away from nosy people.

**- Her hair is a lot like this picture of P!nk's.
'Oh the weather outside is frightful,
But the fire is so delightful,
And since we've no place to go,
Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!'

Driney is beyond happy with her new iPod Touch!

Here's one of my best friend's site. It's just getting off the ground.[/color]

Personality:
Amazingly hyperactive, she loves to shop and she loves fashion. Rose is very sugar-high and fun-loving, she has the energy of a five year old who just came back from a halloween night of trick and treating and lots of sugar. Though Rosalie hates dark chocolate.

Artistic ability: Singing, definately. She loves to sing, but mostly soft gothic songs which is very unlike her.

((ok, i guess I'll go ahead and start, but more people can always join!))

"Bye Jane, keep in touch, sweetie!" Her mom called after her as the car drove away, leaving her standing there with her big suitcase. She was wearing, as usual, a short skirt, though not sluttish, over a pair of leggings, and a slightly tight fitting tank top. Today, her shirt was pink, blue skirt, black leggings, and black snow boots with pink and blue designs. One could tell, just from looking at her, that she was a dancer, which was exactly what she was.

Sighing, and looking up at the big school, Jay grabbed her sweatshirt, put her duffel bag on top of her rolling suitcase, and grabbed a smaller bag and her purse. What? She was a typical girl, and needed her stuff. The girl grabbed the handle that was pulled up, and started rolling it to the main hall, where some others bags were as they waited to get their room number at the school meeting. She was excited, this place was amazing, and spent the hour before the meeting to look around, getting to know the large area.

Name: Chase

Age: 17 almost 18

Appearance:
Image

Personality: charming and very self confident. not to the point where he is irritating but he prefers to look at things on the bright side. he expresses his emotions through his music and although he isn't much good with the normal classes like math and science, he sees light in sound and it keeps him confident in his work. Hee can be rather sarcastic but is a loyal and true friend and will take a bullet for those close to him.

Artistic ability: He is mostly a guitar player. acoustic or electric depending on his feelings when he plays. Carries a harmonica also but that is really nothing and he only plays when he's thoughtful and alone which is rare. He minors in writing. He took it to help him write his songs and lyrics and has become quite the poet over the years with breathtaking lyrics.

Other: Chase came from a foster home with several other children. The only reason he could afford the school was if he got a scholarship and also did some work to help out around the school. He spends his sundays helping with maitenance in the school, fixing instruments and things like that. He doesn't mind the extra work as long as it keeps him in the school and away from home.

eh .
Name: James "Quinzy" Quinton
Age: 17
Appearance: Image
Personality: Quinzy is really shy, and not really talkitive. Except around friends and family , he's known for a while. He has this theory where he can't express himself or his feelings in words. He has to express himself in music. Therefore, he spends more time writting music and playing guitar than he does really talking. He's really easy to make friends with though, and when you've become friends with him, it's really hard to never catch him smiling. He's really not one to hold grudges, but if you've made him angry or annoyed with you, it's kind of hard to gain his trust back. Overall, he's a really happy person. He's not too lucky in love, but he'll still continue looking until he finds who and what he's searching for. Quinzy isn't really one for Math or Science, in fact he down right sucks.
Artistic ability: Quinzy is incredible at guitar, but he can't dance worth anything.

RP:
"Please mom, please don't make a scene. Not now." Quinzy begged his mom when she pulled their minivan into the parking lot of his new school. "I'm sorry hun. It's just so hard to believe, you know. That you're leaving me at home. It's going to be hard not hearing your guitar in the morning." Mrs. Quinton replied turning the ignition indicating the car to stop. She reached over and envelopped her son in a huge hug. "I love you, Mom. I'll keep im'ing you , and texting and such. I promise." Quinzy said looking at his mom sadly. She handed him his black duffel bag and white guitar case with a whole bunch of patches on it. She kissed Quinzy on the cheek, and drove away.

"Here it goes". thought Quinzy as he turned toward his new school. A school where he could really show what he could do, without having to be judged. He put his turned his ipod and switched to shuffle. I miss you - Blink 182 was the song that first came on. "Ironic"[/b] he smirked to himself while strapping his duffell bag over his shoulder, and grabbing his guitar case. He noticed two figures walking toward the same building. [i]"At least i'm not the first one here." he thought.

As Jane pulled on her black sweatshirt with two pink and two blue stripes down the sleeves on, her phone started ringing. Her sweatshirt was only half on when the girl was struggling to open her purse; of course the clasp had to be one of the most difficult ones for the cell phone pocket so that no one stole it.

Finally, Jay gad the phone out, and right before she was about to answer it, the brunette ran right into some guy, and the phone stopped ringing.

Being a dancer, she was able to catch herself right before she had the chance to hit the ground, and she only hoped that he had not fallen. "Oh my god! I'm so sorry." She said, dusting her skirt off to unruffled in, and offering her hand.

Quinzy focused his mind on placing one first in front of the other over and over. He wanted nothing more than to be accepted to the school, but at the same time he was so nervous. He didn't know anyone, and worst of all, nobody knew him. Quinzy was so caught up in his thoughts that it took him a while to notice that someone had knocked him to the ground. He looked up to see a small brunette girl wearing a black sweatshit and black leggings. Quinzy just sat shocked and somewhat amused. "It's alright. I'm fine." Quinzy said taking her hand to pull him back up from the ground. Quinzy dusted off his pants and picked his guitar up again.

Noticing him just zone out, Jay was worried that maybe he had gotten hurt hen he fell. However, he soon sat up, and eventually took her hand. The girl helped him stand up again and watched as he dusted himself off. "Are you sure?" She asked, looking him over. No blood was seeping through his clothes, so that was a good sign. "I'm Jay by the way." Her full name was Jane, but no one, except her parents, called her that any more. She still did feel bad for knocking him over though. "Is there any way that I can make it up to you?" She just felt terrible for it.

Quinzy found it somewhat amusing how concerned this girl was for knocking him over. He smiled at her and slowly reached into his pocket to turn of his ipod so he would be able to hear her clearly. He patiently waited for her to calm down, and tried to choose his words wisely. " Call me Quinzy." He didn't want to be known as James here. He wanted to make a new story for himself, and James just didn't sound artistic or interesting at all. So, he would go by his nickname fulltime.

Quinzy chuckled a little bit, and raised his hands in assurance. "I promise you that i'm fine. It was just a little push, that's all. I wasn't really thinking, so it's not your fault at all. And as for making it up to me .. would you like to walk with me?" he asked. Usually Quinzy wouldn't be this cocky or straight forward, but he promised himself that at this new school, he would change. He would be more talkitive and more outgoing.

Jay watched the guy reach into his pocket and felt stupid for talking to him while he was listening to music, and was surprised that he could hear her. She quickly made a note of his name, since she really did not want to forget it.

Hearing how she could make it up to him, Jane was surprised. "Alright, that seems fair. Maybe I could get us some ice cream?" She offered. It wasn't hot outside, but ice cream was good and all. Besides, it was just a suggestion. Then her phone started ringing again, and she looked apologetic as she finally got her phone out, remembering why she had run into him. "Sorry, I have to take this, it's my mom." She said, opening her phone and her mom started freaking out and wondering why she hadn't answered. "Calm down mom, I had a little trouble getting it out, and then I ran into someone and....yea, don't worry, I'm fine. Ok, love you too, bye." She said, hanging up the phone and putting it back in her purse.

"Sorry, that was my mom...but yea, where do you want to go?" Jay asked Quinzy, brushing her bangs out of her eyes as she looked at him.

Quinzy thought of Jay as a person. She seemed pretty trustworthy, and seemed really nice considering she just invited him out for icecream on not one of the hottest days, but that didn't matter. Quinzy loved ice cream, and really didn't mind the weather. Quinzy was just about to answer when her phoen rang. Her mom she claimed. Not a guy, that's a good sign. Quinzy thought as he patiently waited for her to get off the phone. "Oh, no worries. My mom calls pretty much all the time, were kind of close. Ice cream sounds good. Um, how about Yogen Fruz or soemthing?" Quinzy asked as he noticed the way she gently brushed her bangs out of her eyes. Her eyes were beautiful and her fingers looked so - soft. Back up man ! Calm down. Quinzy thought to himself as he tried to shake that love bot in his mind away.

At his answer, Jay smiled. "Really? That's cool. Yea, my mom worries way too much. I'm her baby girl, she worries all the time." She said honestly, a huge smile on her face. "And yumm, Yogen Fruz sounds good." The girl grinned, waiting for him to started walking towards the food court on the campus. She saw the way he was looking at her, but convinced herself that it was all in her mind. Jane was not one to get all caught up in boys and what not; she always just focused on her dancing and her ice skating, never boys. To her, they just caused so much drama and what not. However, she shook her head to her thoughts. Quinzy was just an ordinary boy whom she had just met, nothing at all to think about.
