The human descendants of the Globally 3 crash survived the destruction, and set about rebuilding the nations of Zi. In ZAC 2096, after decades of peace and recovery from the devastation, Emperor Guylos died. As his grandson, Rudolph, was too young to rule, his chief minister, Gunter Prozen was named regent. In ZAC 2099, Prozen declared war on the Helic Republic, and launched an invasion of the Western Continent of Europa to attack the Republic. The Republic’s forces launched a counterattack, but were overwhelmed.

The Empire found the ruins of an ancient civilization containing a Deathsaurer, as well as other technologies. The Guylos Empire began work on restoring the Deathsaurer, as well as deploying new Zoids like the Geno Saurer. The Republic also developed new Zoids and reproduced older Zoids like the Shield Liger, and began to slowly turn the tide against the Empire.

In ZAC 2100, the Republic reactivated the Ultrasauruses that had survived the devastation, and used them to attack the Empire’s forces on Europa. The Empire countered with their newest creation, the Death Stinger. However, the Death Stinger went berserk and attacked both sides, destroying all in its path. Eventually, the Death Stinger was defeated, but not before causing massive damage.

The Empire’s troops retreated to the Dark Continent in ZAC 2101, followed by the Republic army. Once there, however, the Republic Army were attacked by a new elite Guylos unit, the Eisen Dragoons, and suffered horrible losses. The Republic’s forces battled their way through to the capital, where they found that Prozen’s personal unit had launched a coup. Prozen, the son of Emperor Zenebas, tried to overthrow the Guylos Empire. The Guylos units loyal to Rudolph joined forces with the Helic Republic, and engaged those loyal to Prozen. The combined forces managed to defeat Prozen, but the Death Saurer Prozen was piloting overloaded, and destroyed the majority of the Zoids in the city.

In the aftermath, the Eisen Dragoons took over the Guylos Empire and re-formed it as the Neo-Zenebas Empire, under the rule of their leader, Wolff Muroa. They invaded the Central Continent and, with the new Seismosaurus Zoid, conquered the entire continent in ZAC 2106, forcing the Republic to retreat to the Eastern Continent

However, in ZAC 2109, the Republic’s forces returned from their exile on the Eastern Continent. They drove the Empire’s forces back using the newly developed Liger Zero Phoenix, Jet Falcon, and Gairyuki. The battle ended with the Republic reclaiming their capital, and forcing the Zenebas Empire back to the western half of the Central Continent.

It has now been fifty years since the Republic's forces reclaiming the capital. The Zenebas Empire were put under surveillance for the first forty years. After that the Republic came to the conclusion that there was nothing to fear from the western empire. Now, there have been small attacks on various parts of the Republic capital. They started out small but are gradually growing more deadly. At first it was thought that the Zenebas were starting a new attack but were proven wrong when one of the attackers zoid's were spotted leaving the scene of the biggest crime so far. No one in the Republic had seen such a Zoid before and knew that it couldn't be one of the Zenebas Empire. With a new threat taking action, the Republic must do all that they can to with-hold the attack and keep their capital from being taken once again.

It was early in the day and people were just leaving their homes to go about their daily business. Rina too was getting up. After taking a shower and getting her things ready she head out the door and started her way down the road. She waved at a few people on her way as they recognized her from previous battles. It had been four years since she had been in a tournament battle but still the people recognized her. It was odd but it was something she wasn't going to just push away. She enjoyed it when people came to talk to her. Easily getting through the streets of the morning crowd, she finally reached her destination. The building was one of magnificent size as it covered more ground than it stood.

The workers in the building weren't in any hurry to get to work as usual but they were always good at what they did. Greeting some of them on her way, she ended up at a door that she opened and walked through. It was built more in the sense of a garage with tools and such spread about. Among the tools were also Zoids of the people who worked here. This job was being soldiers of the Republic. These Zoids were only ones that belonged to people who lived in this area of the Republic. There were several more spread out among the land.

Rina had been working here for the past five years. In her first year here she was also a high ranker in the tournaments but soon dropped out from them to work full time with the Republic. The lights had already been switched on by a janitor who regularly arrived on the job earlier than most. Walking passed the rows of species she finally arrived at the one she had come here for. Many people nicknamed their Zoids, for Rina she kept hers simple. Her Zoid was a Murasame Liger. She named it, Murasame, which means autumn rain. So really she just took out the Liger part. Though, sometimes she would just use Liger when speaking of or to him.

"Hey boy." She said as she placed her hand on the nose of the huge metal creature. Murasame awakened, the lights turning on in his eyes and made what seemed to be a purr mixed with something of a grumble.

Matt woke up in his hanger. He enjoyed sleeping in the same room with his Energy Liger. Really he didn't feel safe anywhere else. He smiled as he woke up looking up at his zoid and he got up and head to it hugging its leg, waking it up.

"Who's a good liger? Your a good liger. Yes you are yes you are." He said rubbing his head against it and his liger bent down to give him a soft nose of acknowledgment.

"Ok Enough of that. Time for a check up." He said before starting his morning check up.

Taz held a clipboard in front of him, and through squinted eyes and with a pen in his mouth read the data in front of him. It was outstanding of course that this thing made it back in one piece. He took the pen out of his mouth, and slid it into a pocket, and walked underneath the Command Wolf. He raised a hand a slid it down its underbelly. Bits of orange floated down, and Taz closed his eyes to keep any of it from entering his peepers. This particular Zoid had been found at the bottom of a lake, which explained the rust, however, the fact that all the electronics were still working was somewhat of a mystery. Taz continued to go over the Zoid.

Rina was checking Murasame over. After she had completed this routine task she patted him on the nose and started walking away. She could hear someone else in the room and decided to look to see who it was. After walking around some of the Zoids she finally found Taz working on a Command Wolf. It looked to be in bad shape and just from the look of it she was unsure if it even worked.

"Hey, there. Where'd you find this guy?" She asked as she walked up to Taz. Though they were mere acquaintances she enjoyed having a little chat every now and then.

Jack was laying under a tree, the sun's warmth blanketing him, as he slumbered. His zoid needed repairs, but he had some other people doing it. Hands placed behind his head he began to slumber.
Guards marched around the outskirts of the area, the tree, and small hill hiding Jack from them.

“At the bottom of a lake, literally,” Taz replied to Rina cheerfully. He walked out from under the Zoid to talk to her more clearly. He stood next to her, and smiled at the Zoid. “Amazingly enough all it needs is a little bit of ‘TLC’. All electronics work fine with the exception of some exterior lights and things. In a few years this thing will be up and running, no major problems. So, how are you and your Murasame Liger of there?”

Rina smiled as Taz revealed himself from underneath the Command Wolf. She was amazed by the information he had given her. It was a miracle the electronics were still good. "So, is it in working order? I mean, can it be activiated?" She asked as she examined the zoid from where she was standing. "A couple years is a long time. I wish we could get some more advanced tools."

“I suppose I could cut it down to a few months if I skipped out on a few things. I had intended to install some double strength armour plating, as well a shield generator and a couple more weapons,” Taz replied looking at his clipboard with a furrowed brow. “But even then that would it’d be completely untested, and it could just freeze up in battle. That would be some major, and I mean major, trouble. It takes so long to perform test on Zoids.”

After finishing the morning checkup to make sure everything was up to speed he went to his mall little kitchen area in the hanger. He lived in his hanger for fear that somebody would find where he was hiding and attack. But he didn't mind it that much it kept him close to his zoid.

He quickly finished breakfast and came back to his zoid.

"So Liger ready to cause some mischief," He said smiling.

His liger gave a loud roar then bent its head down popping its cockpit open. Matt hopped in starting up the weapons systems. With a quick push forward him and his liger raced out of the hanger.

"Crimson Midnight is back in action." He said half to himself. His liger gave a roar as they headed to the closest major city.

(I'll start the attack in the next post. Mind If I have to charaters since I'm all by myself.)

Jack sat up and rumaged through his backpack. "Where'd I put it.." biting his lip as he sorted through his things. "Ah! there we go" pulling out a red soda can, he smiled, before opening it. S'good day... peace, soda, relaxation. he thought as he took a drink from the carbonated drink.

OOC: Ok Midnight. ^^ This should spike the story up pretty good. MegaMan that had me totally confused. XD

Rina was shocked by his reply about the Command Wolf being found at the bottom of a lake and still in working order. That was astonishing. "So, do you think he might be of a newer generation? I mean, his parts being able to withstand the pressure of a lake and still have electricity in him is amazing. Maybe...some kind of new technology that had come out recently or something?" She asked as she looked the Wolf from head to tale. It was a beautiful beast but like Taz said, chancing this thing freezing in battle would be the worst chance anyone could take. Then again, that's when the phrase, "Do whatcha' gotta do." Comes into play.
