Hello. :D I'm new to RPing and RPGateway. My name is Carrie and I'm not really good at RPing, but I find it fun and an escape from reality. I'm 17 and a girl. (I hope me being a girl was obvious.) Anyways, anyone interested in teaching me more of how to role play, I would be very thankful. My character is Atsume, you can check the profile for more info on her.
I started Roleplaying on facebook with a few of my friends. We do chat RP, so I'm not sure on the idea of PM RP... If someone could fill me in.. Also on the Forum RP? I don't know what else to say...

I'd love to help you! I go by Panta. I'm pretty young, and not a moderator or anything, just a regular user (moderators have bright green names) but I'd like to fancy myself fairly good at RPing. I'll see you in chat, I guess, since you're probably too new to send Private Messages (you have to have a minimum number of forum posts first) or just on this thread.

^ Yep, definitely check out that link. The Roleplay Academy is just chock-full of blue-usernamed mentors whose job it is to help out folks get the hang of RP, and fine-tune what skills they already have. Click it. xD

I think many of us roleplay as an escape from reality, so you aren't alone in that. :)
Maybe you should check out the RolePlay Academy, if your goal is to become better-but remember, the surest way to improve your writing is to write, read, and have fun. Still, if you want to get into a roleplay quickly, we have features to aid you in that effort.
For example, if you want to participate in a fantasy-oriented RP, click here. You can use that search feature, or the tag cloud, to help narrow down the options to those within your interests. :)

As two of my comrades have already linked you to the Academy, I wont but I will link you to Da Rulez, so that you can avoid getting into trouble by accident. Other then that, have a good time, try the Pm systems, our chat, the roleplay tabs and the forums.
