So, everyone knows what a typical family is like. Mom, Dad, Kids... Sometimes the parents are divorced, but that's not that much of a hitch...
But, throw out all you know about typical families, because this one is, well, a little fucked up.
Don't believe me? Well, take a look at the stories of these five parents, who all have some extremely intertwined families...
(If you don't want to read all that, just skip down to the end of the stories; most of this is explained down there, in less words and some numbers.)
Mary Gordon
When Mary was in high school, she was, well... A bit of a slut. She stayed a virgin until she was 16, though. Problem is, when she was 16, she had sex with a boy named Cody; and she got pregnant. Neither of them had been very serious about each other, so they didn't expect anything to come from it or anything. Mary didn't even know she was pregnant until it was too late- when she was eight months pregnant. She had a lovely baby girl, and named her Sarah. Her and Cody never spent any time alone after that.
Then, when she was 17, she met a guy named Sam. She thought she was in love. So, she did what she thought she should. After a while, her belly started growing big. The girl couldn't believe that she was pregnant again. Luckily, this time, she was getting married. Her and Sam got engaged before anyone had time to whisper "baby" in the halls. When she was four months pregnant, they were married. She had a son, and they named him Andrew. Sam and Mary moved in together, in a somewhat crappy apartment, but it was a home nonetheless. They were happily married, and Sam never would have done anything to change that. On the other side of things, Mary's mother was opposed to the marriage, and would do whatever she could to split the two up. When Mary was 21, she went to her mother's house for a few weeks, leaving Sam at home alone with Andrew. When she came back, she suggested that they go take a shower while Andrew was asleep. Next thing they new, Mary was asking for a divorce. A few months later, it was official by law that the two were no longer together.
By the time Mary was 22, she had already gotten another boyfriend. She took it slow for about a year, but when she was 23, things sped up. It didn't last long, and soon Darnell had moved onto another girl. Soon after he disappeared, she found out she was pregnant. She was only 23 and was already having her third kid. That was when the disapproving looks started. The young woman birthed another daughter, and named her Carly. Soon after that, Mary started drinking; she was tired of all the looks she was getting and the rumors started about her. She could no longer stand what she was hearing whispered around her. So, she turned to alchohol.
Two years later, she had calmed down a bit on the drinking, but she still went out to the club or the bar every other weekend, leaving the kids with a babysitter. One day, she got far too drunk; she woke up in an empty bed at a trashy hotel, with no memory of what happened. She wouldn't have cared- except for the fact that she also found a broken condom on the floor. Two weeks later, it was confirmed that she was pregnant. Again. Even worse- no one could remember who she left the bar with. So, when her dear little Peter was born, no one knew who his father was. Still, to this day, that is a mystery left unsolved.
Sheila Peters
In high school, Sheila was the nerd. Of course, she was also extremely attractive. To add to it all, she was the kind of girl that didn't think sex was a big deal, and didn't plan on sticking to the whole "abstinence" thing. Nor did she think virginity was anything special. So; she was smart, beautiful, and ready to put out. You can imagine how the guys jumped at her. For the most part, though, she ignored them. She may not have been a prude about it, but she wasn't just going to go to bed with some random guy she didn't even like. When she was just barely 17, though, she met a guy named Darnell(yes, it is the same Darnell- that's all part of the story.). She didn't think she was in love with him or anything, but she definitely liked him. A lot. So, they dated for about seven months, and then it was over; and Sheila was no longer a virgin. She was also five months pregnant. No one found that out, including her, until Darnell was long gone, though. She gave birth to a healthy baby boy named Marcus, less than a month before her 18th birthday.
When she was 19, she met Cody[size=8-](yes, it is also the same Cody)[/size]. She liked him well enough, but wasn't planning anything serious. He, on the other hand, was. So, it didn't last long. Problem was, though she wasn't showing, poor Sheila was pregnant again; she blamed birth control failure, and since then has never trusted the stuff unless it completely stops her period. Either way, there was no way she was getting an abortion. Plus, she already had a baby boy; why not give him a sibling to play with? So, then there was Danielle. Cody still pops in and out of their lives, but him and Mary have never gotten back together.
Sam Massino
Sam was always the type of guy that when he found The One, that was it. He would give her his heart and soul, everything. And he did. When he was 15, he saw her. He couldn't believe it. It was like love at first sight, but more powerful; or, at least, for him it seemed like it was. For a year he admired the girl from afar, finding out everything he could from simply observing. Then, when he was 16, he got up the courage to talk to her. Low and behold, they got together; and he gave her everything. Her name was Mary, and she was all he ever wanted, she was perfect. Or, that's how he saw it. When she told him she was pregnant, it was one of the happiest moments of his life. He immediately dropped down on one knee, and next thing you know, they were married and had a kid- and they were also both still in high school. He didn't care. He had found the girl he was going to love for the rest of his life, and that was it for him. For her mother, on the other hand, it was a completely different story. That woman did everything in her power to keep him from staying happily married to the love of his life. As it turns out, her struggles worked.
When he was 20, only three years after he had married Mary, his wife disappeared. He found out that she had been at her mother's house- for two weeks. When she came back, she was acting strange. But, she asked him to take a shower with her, while their son was asleep. Of course, he was happy to oblige. Next thing he knew, though, he was in the shower with his wife, and she was asking for a divorce. He was heartbroken, but he wouldn't have her unhappy. So, next thing he knew, they were no longer married. The one thing that kept him alive was the fact that he has custody of his son. Little Andrew was all the young man had left.
Cody Streib
Cody was always the popular jock. Star quarterback of both his middle school and high school, he had girls practically dripping all over him from the time he was 12. He didn't start to notice them until he was 14. Thing was, they were all too happy to give themselves up to him without a second thought. At first it was cool, and he was happy to give them all what they wanted, but after a while, it became a major turn off; he liked a challenge. That's why he had joined football in the first place. Then he met Mary, who was, at that point, a virgin. He had heard about her reputation, but when they first met, Mary didn't seem to like Cody very much. Therefore, she sparked his interest. It took him a month or so, and she finally came around. They both moved on rather fast, but the rumors didn't. Next thing he knew, words were flying; Mary was pregnant, and he was the father. He couldn't believe it. Somehow, he managed to keep it a secret from his parents, at least for the first two months of the secret being out. When Mary had his daughter, he chose her name; after that, though, he stayed out of the lives of both of them. He was never alone with Mary again, and he made sure of it.
After a while, he grew bored of the whole thing. It was time for a more serious relationship, and he knew it. When he met Sheila, he thought it was perfect. She was both smart and beautiful; and, in his opinion, very funny. The only issue was, she didn't want anything serious. So, their relationship didn't last very long. He wasn't so surprised when she got pregnant; after all, it had happened once before, right? This time around, he didn't have anything to do with the girl. That is, until he saw Sheila carrying around a beautiful little baby girl- a beautiful little baby girl that had his eyes. He knew immediately that the girl was his daughter, and there was no way he would be able to ignore her existence for the rest of his life. So, throughout his little girl's life, he pops in every now and then. He still tries to keep his distance, though.
Darnell Holman
Darnell was the second most popular guy in school. He was a jock, and his best friend was the star quarterback. Darnell's game, though, was basketball. Darnell wasn't like his bud, Cody, though. No, he didn't care about 'the challenge'; if there was a girl out there that wanted to mess around and she was hot enough in his opinion, he'd be happy to get it on with her. When he was 16, though, he got a girl pregnant. He could barely even remember her name, even though he knew they had dated for a while. Besides, he was long gone by the time he heard all the things being passed around the school. He saw her in the halls, but avoided her at all costs. There was no way he was getting involved.
The young man kept his attitude the same his whole life.

So, yeah. In case you hadn't noticed, these families are all a bit screwed up, and the facts can be a little confusing.
Point is, most of them didn't keep in contact. Hell, Darnell doesn't even know he has a daughter. They all still live in Anchorage, Alaska.
Now; at the beginning of the role play- they all meet up again. All the parents decide to go to Dinko's Diner, a new restaurant opened up in the center of town. Mary, Sheila, and Sam all bring their kids.
Obviously, it would be weird anyway; but here's where it get's really weird. They find out that Sarah and Marcus actually know each other. The teens go to the same high school, and -brace yourself- have crushes on each other. Guess what else? It seems to be the same with Andrew and Danielle.
