Name:Shigeru Ch'ol
Gender: Male
Race:Reptilian, of the chameleon subdivision.
Age:35 years old (proportionately 20 according to his race)
Class:Imperial Weapon Master (I guess like a Knight, but far eastern?)
Abilities: Expert user of his two sets of weapons, also has knowledge of simple mechanical devices and tools. His
skin changes color, but not as much as a chameleon's; his eyes can rotate individualy, giving him extremely wide vision. He can swim better than almost anybody else, and knows how to fight underwater.
Equipment: Full set of armor/ weapons from the Itchitiomorphs (like Reptilians, only fish instead of reptiles); includes helmet with demon mask, twin one-handed katanas, colapsable spear (separates into two short javelins), pack of mechanical tools, padded shoes, and a small amulet kept with the mechanical tools. His armor is as durable as the strongest heavy plate, but much lighter.
Appearance: Has scaly skin that is slightly thicker than that of most other humanoinds, it's usually light green, but changes color with his mood and the temperature of his ambient. Has a scar on his left leg, but nowhere else. Is muscular, but not body-building large. Has iridiscient eyes (multiple colors in cocentric circles). Has no hair at all.
Height:5'10"
Weight:170 lbs
Clothing/Armor: His armor is skin-tight, and pretty much covers almost all his body; it includes metal gaunlets, the mask/helmet, and a special clasp on the back for his collapsed spear. Also has a light leg-dress thing (don't know how to call it...) for when he's not wearing the armor, which would be when he's swimming, excercising, sleeping, or any other such occasion.
Personality:Extremely disciplined; has an extreme controll of his emotions that allows him to judge situations impassively, as well as being an impressive gambler; is somewhat of a scholar and values knowledge on the same level as physical abilities; a bit lacking when it comes to a sense of humor. When in fighting or in battle he shuts off all semblance of comunication, concentrating fully on the fight and ignoring anything that isn't an immediate threat.
History: A rarity among reptilians, who are known for having weak males that need to be protected by the females, Shigeru's village wanted to sacrifice himbecause they believed him to be an unnatural demon. His village was raided by a group of Ichitiomorphs (fish-men) and he was kidnapped. He was brought up as a warrior slave to an important family of the imperial court, and because of his strength and intelligence was granted his freedom on his 20th birthday. He then befriended a Weapon Master who trained him in the use of the collapsable spear, as well as the twin short katanas. After proving himself an incredible fighter and strategist, Shigeru was granted the highest honor ever recieved by a non-Itchitiomorph, the tittle of Imperial Weapon Master. Soon afterwards his mentor died in a fight against the monsters and savage warriors of the Deeps, and Shigeru realized that everybody in the court secretly despised him.
He exiled himself from the Surface Empire, wandering the lands as a mercenary for hire untill he finally arived at the Elfsong Tavern. There he met Vallyn Desp'Ana (a drow-shade warrior), Churchil Bearcharger (a wild elf necromancer), Xeon Oreon (a human warlock), Brunden Eastman (a human thief), Alicia Ranari (demoness), and Cross Reighol ( a human shadowmancer) after a brutal assault by a greenskin army and the subsequent carnage. They grouped together out of necessity, but ended up electing Vallyn as their leader. His quest for revenge from his brother, as well as their collective goal of destroying the dark plauge of the undead kept them together through a sea-voyage that ended in disaaster because of pirates and a Kraken.
Vallyn sacrificed himself to save everyone from the monstrous beast, and it was up to Shigeru to lead the heartbroken adventurers. Unfortunately their problems weren't over almost immediately afer they abandoned their broken ship and landed on a seemingly deserted island they were aproached by a patroll from the Surface Empire. The leader of the patroll recognized Shigeru and challenged him to a duel of honor, which Shigeru couldn't refuse out of fear for his companions. They fought with incredible skill, both were masters of their respective style and neither wanted to loose. Finally shigeru managed to knock out the weapons from his opponent's hands, but he refused to let the fight end like that, and threw away his collapsed spear. They continued their fight without weapons until Shigeru drove his oponent's nose directly into his brain with a single powerful hit.
The patroll was honor-bound to fulfill a single wish Shigeru had, and transported the adventurers and the lost ship's crew to the mainland, where Shigeru left them. The last thing that was heard of him was that he was seen travelling to the south, beyond the marshes that were his birthplace and into the Jungles of the Green Amazons, who were rumored to be less supersticious than their swampland counterparts, and therefore more likely to accept Shigeru into their society.
It is unkown what happened to him in the end.
Other: Has the constitution of a lightweight child when it comes to drinking alcohol, his spear sometimes jams and won't re-assemble when it's been collapsed, which is why he carries around some mechanical tools. He has no magic to speak of, but is willing to have enchantments placed on his weapons and armor... so long as they're temporary.
