And better access to harassing Eric about various avatar/icon/anything else gwing related problems. You're never around when i have something to gripe about. Zechs gave me the FTP access though, so I can fix most/all of the icon problems. Soon I'll be uploading some gundam weapon icons for the other items. Same with verniers and the like.

I wouldn't mind avatars again. Our choice of human or gundam or animal or whatever. Maybe consider power animals to symbolize ourselves? Just something specific to this site that involves a picture representation of ourselves or something about our characters.

And Admin control over the shoutbox would be great.

I've been noticing errors around the site but I keep forgetting to tell you about them. So I am going to use this thread to report errors I have found so that I won't forget any more. So here it goes.

I dislike the black background, it makes me care less about reading anything because everything seems so dark. Black is cool and all, but not suitable for everything. A lighter-colored theme would make this easier on the eyes and I think it'd improve forum activity.

Forum navigability could use improving. It'd be nice if we had a bunch of forums with their sub-forums that we could expand or retract if necessary, like a + and - sign box. I could elaborate about this further later on. I just think it's hard to always find the area you're looking for because not everything seems to be where it should, or it's just thrown somewhere randomly- a lot like the clothes in my room.

As for avatars and the like... bleh, i don't know, i don't care, I figure custom av's are nice. It'd be nicer if we could have something larger than 100x100, and maybe a custom title

I think the cascade of stars or whatever to determine rank or vet-ness is tacky. A row of stars or something simple would be better, I think.

Yeah, we're going to to maybe invert the color scheme once we do the upgrade.

I really like your DHTML idea, with the expanding subforums. I'll look into it. If you can suggest anything to the method of which forums are in the wrong places, that'll be a huge help, we're doing our best to consolidate and organize the many forums we have.

We'll be introducing a new ranking and title scheme soon, as well as potentially increasing the limits on avatars and titles.

And, the cascade of stars is only for admins - you're probably just seeing a lot of us. (Because we do our job. )

What i want is access to my avatar. I know one of the mods that complaines about my avatar took it away and the time I got a new one my avatar selection was gone entirley. So I just want my avataar selection back

You should be able to access your avatar by clicking "Edit Your Profile" in the top right hand corner.

My avatar hasn't been working for me either, period. I've tried uploading one from my computer, direct linking to one from an image host website, choosing to delete and replace it, virtually anything I could and it just hasn't been working for some time now. That might be why Nightmare can't get his either.

Also, in reference to the background thing, I also like the idea of lighter backgrounds (I personally love the Grand Tournament's template over this one by miles. >_>), but also I like the idea of choice if at all possible. Either way, I think the better layouts tend to be with lighter mixes of colors, although gray works good if you've got some good contrast (Reds/oranges/yellows/light blue, etc.). Let's shoot for simplicity in that.

No what I mean is i dont even get the option to set my avatar. One of the mods took it down. And I think it was Ace Darkfire he had told me several times but now... I mean c'mon man I want my avvy back! I swear to god I wont get an oversized one again but just please! I want my avatar choice back!

Avatars are fixed for everyone now, Nightmare, you should be able to edit that section.

Seriously, I can't express how much I love the Grand Tournament layout by comparison. >_> The general concepts there are what I personally prefer in a layout. Links at the top, forum content itself centered (And not stretched to either side), and simple, lighter colors. I think that sort of thing won't overwhelm people. And I love the color scheme applied.

Double-posting I know, but I figured there were a few things I've noticed that should probably be pointed out:

+BBCode shows up on the front-page preview things. If possible, you should probably just strip it from those preview posts altogether. >_>

+For private messaging on the forums, you can only view your inbox, nothing else, which makes things a bit of a hassle. (Although on the Grand Tournament side of things, you can view Inbox, Sentbox, Outbox, and Savebox)

+When posting in the forums, if I click "preview" to see how things will look before the post, no preview shows up.

+When private messaging, if I click "preview" to see how things will look before the message, a preview shows up, but the BBCode doesn't work.

+Uh..half the stuff that shows up for our 'profiles' can't be edited. The unalterable remnants of the once-in-place profile system are still around for those who edited them then and impossible to do anything with for all new members. Talking about the Gender, Birthday, Home/Cell/Fax/Pager/Work information type stuff. Looks weird having stuff on profiles that can't be edited at all. >_>

None of these show any error messages or anything (Some of them really can't at all), but just happen.

No! Keep the side menu. It saves me from scrolling and I think it attracts me to the chat. Tempts me, seduces me into the chat. Other than that, I agree with Kouketsu about the general Grand Tournament layout and lighter colors. The logo looks better on white, anyway!

Well, my only real problem with the side menu is that I've always found it somewhat...'loud' or somewhat out of place I guess would be the words. It should be sleek and unobstrusive and appealing. >_>

Or maybe I'm just not used to seeing it. To be honest, this is the only forum I'm on with one of those things, or at least one like that. If they have one, usually they might have a bunch of stuff along the side, like stats similar to those on the home page.

Aesthetics-wise I still like it on the top, but if you can make it useful on the side, go ahead.
