The Wraith came back in the hallway with silence as he walked back to his room, "Everything is fine now..." he said in a monotone voice, "Everyone head back to your rooms and get some sleep...we have a lot of road to cover tomorrow..." he went into his room and closed the door, locking it behind him and heading towards his bed this time. He sighed, feeling bad for the immigrant he broke out of a European asylum and began a new life here in the United States. He walked towards the bathroom and looked at himself in the mirror, not wanting to take down his hood and see the face behind him and just turning off the lights and walking towards his bed where he usually laid until the sun came up, finding it very hard to go to sleep.
Yeah, I get it your an outcast, always under attack, always coming in last, no one owes you anything. I think you need a shotgun blast a kick in the ass, so paranoid, watch your back.

Sammie was slightly touched by his concern for her. She found it quite sweet, actually she found him quite sweet. "Yeah I am fine. I couldnt sleep any longer even if I tried" She said knowing it was true. She never could get back to sleep soon after waking up, she had to exhaust her body again. "Plus I am used to staying awake for long periods of time" Sammie continued to smile at him as she looked into his eyes. Being with Jacob was begining feeling natural and normal like it used to be with people before the nightmares started. It was moments like these that she almost felt normal.
Maybe you're going to be the one who saves me...

I walk downstairs to see the commotion with Dirk. An interesting reaction that could be useful if ever needed. I notice Sammie and Jacob talking. "Hello all. There's a few chairs on the rooftop if anyone wishes to join me." I turn around and walk back to the roof.

Syn kept her security inside. Sleep? Sleep was a waste of time, at least that's what Di Vinci spoke of. She sighed. After blocking Cole from the rampage of Dirk, she contiuned to sit by The Wraith's door. Something about this man...about his way, made her feel welcomed, and wanted, instead of neglected and rejection. Everytime he spoke, chills ran down her body. She shook the feeling from her head. No crushes, she thought. No love. You don't need it. Plus, you'll never get it in return anyways. Resting her head against the wall, she wondered on where their next journey would begin. Her wrist began to ache. A sign of exhaustion, but she fought it. Or at least she tried to. She examined Jacob and Sammie. They seemed right for two insane people. She smiled. You know, she thought, the rooftop wouldn't sound too bad.

Getting up, she followed Magix, Zane, and Trice to the roof of the Motel. Beats sleep, she thought. Climbing sets of stairs, her legs giving out, and her wrist throbbing, she reached the door to the roof. "Jesus!" she shouted. The breeze that swept past her was very icy-cold. She held herself to warm her body. Walking to the chair beside of the three-in-one man, she placed herself. "Well," she began, "...excited?"

Jacob gave a caring touch to her shoulder. "I'm unsure we were properly introduced. My name is Jacob Vex Veritros. But, those who know me best, just call me Jacob." He awaited her reply, with no desire to go out into the cold. He felt some form of happiness in the girls' presence. He slid his hand away from her shoulder and ran it through his long black and silver hair at an attempt to comb it.

Damn, I'm the loner. thought Cole, leaning against the wall adjacent to the door. He opened it wide, just for the rare instance someone would like to join him. His posture betrayed how he was feeling inside, for he didn't walk tall and confident as he usually did, instead walking with shoulder's slouched and feet shuffling. "I haven't showered yet..." Cole muttered under his breath, and walked towards the bathroom, wincing at the mothball and asbestos smell that came from the old stained curtains.

Hot water poured down on top of Cole as he turned the diamond shape knob even more to the left. Could I make it as an assassin? Cole pondered, running his fingers through his silky locks of hair, thus removing any trace of shampoo. A strategist, tactician maybe... but a pawn? Cole walked out, clothed from the waist down with a towel and rummaged through his dresser, where he found a simple long sleeved white T-shirt, and some slacks with accentuating off white pinstripes. He quickly dressed in the closet, remembering about his door. " What did Zane say... about the roof? ... I can't sleep at all" Cole spoke to himself, and thought he'd join Zane, must be quite a view. Cole threw his towel into a corner and grabbed the key off of the nightstand.

Cole ascended the rickety old stairs up to the roof, where Syn and Zane... or whoever he was right now were having some conversation. He felt content to sit in a chair and just enjoy the view. The cold didn't bother him, it felt ... comforting.

Interuppting her thoughts, and talking some with Magix, Zane, and Trice, Syn looked to her right. She could see Cole sitting beside her."Well, hello, there," she spoke. She wasn't expecting a nice reaction from him. She never did expect anything from anybody. She shifted in her seat, and turned her gaze to him, awating a response. While she did this, she thought of Dirk going crazy over the word 'cat.' It was odd that his father would actually hurt a cat. Especially Italian people. She shook the thought from her head, still waiting a greeting or some sort of response.

"Heh, hey there, how are you?" Cole said, smiling a bit. He maneuvered his chair to face Syn, and blew his hair out of his eyes. "I wish I'd brought a jacket, you look a bit cold" Cole added as an afterthought. He was surprised that she'd initiated conversation, he always got the impression she didn't like him that much. His fingers rapped against his leg, as if he were playing a tiny imaginary piano, it was a habit when he was nervous. Wait, why the hell am I nervous.. he thought, could it be her? He dismissed the thought, wondering if he was going even more insane. Still, the moon shone so perfectly on her... Stop it! Cole yelled, within the confines of his own mind of course.

He did admire how her hair looked so wonderful in the plain light however. He scanned over her figure... Wait, am I checking her out?! Cole wondered. He quickly averted his gaze back to her eyes, and waited for a reply.

She smiled. "I'm a bit excited. Of you know, the murder plot." She couldn't really read him that well. She turned her head to the road of the Motel. It was a lovely view, and a view that lovely should be enjoyable. Sighing, they could see the mist of her breath since it was cold. Speaking of cold, she remarked his question, "No, no. You're fine. I'm not really that cold. Once you've slept and breathed in a cold cell for six months, you pretty much get used to it." She chuckled. Was it really the time for humor?

She had been thinking of plans to recreate her killing skills. Meaning, she'd figure a way to kill things easier. People weren't really a problem though. Their skin may be thick, but she could get through the thickness with ease. She looked back to Cole, and stretched. She was tired, but she wouldn't sleep.

The Wraith couldn't sleep and stared at the ceiling with no words, no movements, just lying like a statue. His physical appearance was a cover of what his mind was going through. Inside his intellect, a chaotic war of vengeance, sadness, and corruption raged on with no rest. He finally moved his hand over towards a remote on the side of the bed on a nightstand. He lifted it up and pressed a button, activating the surround sound speaker system. He heard the rest of the inhabitants go up to the roof and decided to blast some music to drown out the madness in his head.

A simple piano began playing softly as drums played dark in the background. He closed his eyes and began hearing the guitars start to strum softly. "It begins with the dark glowing embers... something black burning it's way out of me... Searing the flesh, pain is the only thing if feel, scars all I see..." the song was a personal favorite of his. Slow Burn by Atreyu as he turned up the volume more to keep his mind from getting the best of him. Music was always the thing that kept him sane. It had some strange effect to him, calming him down immediately and keeping his mind from bursting out with his dark side.

Syn decided to call it a night. Her body wouldn't function must longer. "I'm sorry to cut this conversation short, but I think I'll get some rest," She spoke to both of them. Getting up out of the chair, she slowly walked back down the sets of stairs. As she did so, she heard...music? "Atreyu!" she blurted. A favorite band of hers since she was a teenager. She followed the singer, Alex's voice through the set of stairs. She smiled once she hit her room floor. She softly sang along to the lyrics as the song went on. "Lead Sails Paper Anchor" wasn't their best album of all time, but she enjoyed the theme. She couldn't possibly know who would be playing it, but she didn't care. As long as she heard it.

Smiling, she opened the door to her room with her key. Stepping inside, she didn't dare to get undressed. Collapsing on her bed, she read the clock. 3:15 a.m. Getting under blankets, her head hit the pillow once more. She stared at the window of the balcony beside her. God, it's wonderful, she thought. Wonderful to step foot a free land again, and for so long, too! She put her pillow over her face, and yelled, but not out of anger. Out of excitement. Her career as a professional killer was only months away, and if she was lucky...DAYS away. She fell asleep with the thought on her mind....and the pillow over her face.

I smiled at Syn as she asked me a question. "Very." One word covered my feelings.

Then Syn leaves and I look over the edge as a police car pulls into the parking lot. I grab the handgun out of the back of my pants. I kept it in case I needed it. "Cole go tell the Wraith. I hope Dirk can handel them."

"Right away" Cold replied, and rushed down the stairs, almost tripping on the way down. He ran towards The Wraith's room, which still had some music coming from it, but he couldn't recognize the tune. Even though he was kind of clumsy, he forced his feet to be in synchronization, and rapped against The Wraith's chamber door.

"We've got a problem." Cole yelled, hoping his voice would carry through the inch thick wood. Hopefully we get some action, I've been itching to try this new thing out...

The Wraith sat up and looked at the time as he turned off the music and jumped to his feet and ran towards the door, hearing a faint voice. "Problem?" he said, his voice monotone as he crossed his arms, "What problem?" he suddenly saw a blur of red and blue outside as he growled in anger, "Not these guys again..." he said, running over towards Dirk and banging on the door, "Dirk! The Twins are back!" he heard a pounding of feet as Dirk opened the door and tossed two shotguns towards The Wraith who grabbed them both, "Get the others armed! I'm going out to buy us some more time!" his voice was now urgent. "Sir! Your body armor!" The Wraith held up his hand, "Give it to someone else!" The Wraith kicked out the door as he ran down.

Two men walked out of the cop car, their expressions faded and dressed in Federal black suits. They looked at each other and then turned around to see the snipers a hundred feet back. They began to walk lightly, almost as if they were gliding as the hooded man opened the front door to greet them with the two shotguns on his back. "Boys... what can I do for you?" he said, meeting them halfway towards the motel. "Don't get in our way this time... we brought backup..." they turned around to show at least 13 snipers behind large government issued hummers aiming right at him.

Dirk ran around and began giving people improved bullet proof armor with highly powerful snipers. He began screaming for everyone that wasn't there, "Everyone! Up! To the hallway for your weaponry!" he screamed, giving Cole his armor and weapons.

Sammie smiled as she felt Jacob touching her shoulder, it felt nice and very reassuring. She couldn’t remember the last time she had another person touch her except for when dragging her some place or physically hurting her. It was a nice change. “No I don’t think we were properly introduced. It was a bit of a rush back there. I’m Sammantha King. But I prefer Sammie. It’s nice to meet you Jacob”

Sammie was really beginning to enjoy his company. It only seemed like they had been talking in the hallway for a few moments when Dirk ran pasted them and handed Sammie some armour and a weapon. “Looks like it is happening all over again” She said with a frown. Just when she was feeling like normal something had to happen. “Talk later?” She asked Jacob. Wanting to continue the conversation once this episode was over.

I run to my room grabbing my weapons. I also grab a military grade semi-automatic sniper rifle and armor from Dirk. Where he got this gun I didn't know but I liked it. I put on the armor and head back to the roof. I find a hole I could fit the barrel and scope of the rifle through. I could take 3 maybe 4 quick but not them all. The rifle only held 5 shots. It needed to be a group effort that happens simultaineously otherwise The Wraith could be hurt or killed. I take aim at a sniper and wait for a signal.

Of all the comotion, Syn shot herself up. Such a good way to ruin sleep, she thought. Smiling to herself, she got dressed once more. Opening the door, she rushed out of the room. Very quickly, she was in front of Dirk. Putting the armor under her clothes, she searched the bags for anything good. Finally, after searching for minutes, she found two Colt M1911A1's. Placing them in her jean pockets, she rushed out of the way. She looked to Dirk, "Is The Wraith alright?" Her really only concern. Though her thoughts wondered to the others. Were they alright? Bloodshed. FINALLY! She raced next to Magix, and held one up to her temple. She hoped to God nothing would happen in such a hideous manner. She looked at the men. They seemed highly natural for goverment.

The Wraith saw the two identical men walk towards him slowly, "Just give it up... we have you outnumbered this time..." one of them said as the other stood beside him, "You take a false move and you'll be swiss cheese..." he said, nodding his head over towards the snipers behind the hummers. The Wraith took out his shotguns in a flash and held them to their stomachs, hiding what he just did from the government snipers. "Now you listen here..." he said, seeing the two men stare at him through their black glasses, "I have not given up in the past and I won't be pushed around on my own land... I should slaughter you right now... but I won't... I'll give you a chance to get back in your little cars and drive away before things get ugly..."

The two men laughed loudly as the hooded man pulled his guns away and placed them back in the holsters. "You made the right choice... nobody wants to die here..." one of the agents said, seeing him put his guns away. The Wraith suddenly reached in his pocket and brought out a small electronic device... an iPod. He placed the earbuds in his ear and turned it on. The two men raised an eyebrow as he arrived at a band... Five Fingered Death Punch. Not only did music calm him down, it also enraged him into a killing frenzy with certain musical bands.

Dirk saw him put the earbuds in and gasped, "Everyone! To the window! Aim at the snipers and wait for the sign!" He screamed, running to grab one of his own weaponry to help take out the snipers in back.

Cole quickly put on his body armor, strapping in the sides with one hand, sifting through the guns with the other. Sweet! I haven't used one of these since hunting with my dad... Cole thought as he eyed the M1 Carbine he had picked up. He quickly cleaned it, wiping the oil over the vital areas where it was most likely to jam. "Rock and roll!" Cole yelled enthusiastically, propped open a door for cover. The position he was in was perfect for ambush, he was just right around the corner from the front entry. The Carbine didn't have the range for rooftop fire. Awaiting eagerly for the battle to begin, he screwed the silencer on, flipping the firing setting to semi-auto.

If they were to get caught open-handed, she was going to go solo. By stating this, she took her own window, and aimed fiercly down at the snipers. All these months of wanting to kill, to cut, to shoot, to stab, to spill blood, you now have the chance, she thought. She rested her elbows on the bottoms of the window sill, and held her guns, tightly, in her hands. She eyed them once more, her eyes never leaving their sight. She read the lips of The Wraith and the two men. Her anger pulsed. She could see him pull out an iPod. So that's what he does in his spare time, eh? Chuckling to herself, she began to wonder. No, NO! She cursed herself, time for business! Time for murder! None of that stuff. She shook the repulsive thoughts from her head, and turned back to the people down below her.
