Alright, I'm going to make this little snipit here for the new people who want to join but don't want to read through the 101 pages of posts from the first part. A group of mentally unstable people escaped from a local asylum with the help of my character simply named, The Wraith. The Wraith took them back to an establishment where he tried to help with their problems and train them for a war against a corrupt government. After relationships were made and old friends reunited, the government decided they were getting too powerful and decided to get rid of them once and for all... with the help of a nuclear bomb. Most of the people got out in time from this small establishment, but some perished under the fires. Now, with the help of a local forest to hide where they are, the survivors try to rebuild their civilization to continue their quest on taking down the government. Now, we continue... PM me if you are interested.
One more thing. The veterans from last Old Habits RP can fill in what they've been doing for the past four years.

Four years have passed since the initial drop of the atomic bomb on their small establishment. The survivors were getting along with their new environments by living off of the land. With a steady shipment of explosives, weaponry, and metal, the small log city turned into a medium sized fully functional city with electricity and clean water. They hunted off the animals on the land and were living peacefully, unknown to the government who thought they were done for good.
Yeah, I get it your an outcast, always under attack, always coming in last, no one owes you anything. I think you need a shotgun blast a kick in the ass, so paranoid, watch your back.

4 years can change alot. For Magix 4 years changed his life. 4 years ago he had split personalities, was in an asylum, and was nothing more than a nusaince on society. Now he was just himself, he was both wanted and needed, and more importantly he was in love. He never thought that things could work out for him but they were. He had a fully automated home, and a complete defense set up around the base. He couldn't wait to see Sammie as he waited in his home for her to come over that day.

The past four years had passed quickly for the now 22 year old Sammie. So much had happened in that short space of time. Life had been hard for the first few years of the new settlement as everything began to get set up and started taking shape. Only one thing had stayed the same for her and that was her nightmare disorder. It was still there and without medication she would constantly wake up screaming. The sights that she would see in her dreams and what she had gone through with the small group of people back in the asylum changed her but at least now she had someone there with her, someone she cared a lot about.

Sammie had built her own her house with the help of Magix. It was perfect and she loved it but more importantly it was on the outskirts of the growing city. Sammie still refused to let people experience her when she was having one of her nightmares so it was easier if the place which she slept was out of the way. However there was a small group of people who had ever witnessed this. Two of them being Magix and Syn.

With the help of The Wraith forgiving her Sammie also now felt she had more of a place in the society. He had given in and was letting her have treatment on her mind to try and find something that normal scientists wouldn’t pick up on, something normal scientists would never think of doing. However no one knew what was happening with it except for Sammie, The Wraith and the scientists working on it. This was another thing she now didn’t talk about.

(I will probably edit it later depending on if Syn decides to join us or not, fingers crossed that she does)
Maybe you're going to be the one who saves me...

Magix begins typing on his laptop as he waits. Everything was in order and more importantly his anti aircraft missles were finally finished. The were set up far enough away that a nuke wouldn't hurt them. More Importantly the were hidden underground and untraceable. Today was going to be a good day. A good day indeed. "Window three open." Magix says as one of the front windows opens. He begins checking the cameras to make sure everything was okay.

[Don't count me out, now!]

During those four years, life for Syn hadn't been so joyous. Life on her shoulders seemed to crumble, and during these years, her own sanity almost went back to the way she was when she was locked up in the asylum. Syn was now twenty six years old, and almost to being thirty, she had a lot to remember of her life. Her appearance hadn't changed much at all. All that was different were her responsibility and her mothering skills. Her child of which she bore was now four years old. The gender had been a boy, and the name had been hidden since the city's building. Her four-year marriage to Zax took its turns. Though she didn't mind the fact that he was never there, including with different meetings with the city's new life.

Syn's attitude hadn't changed at all. She was the still the smart ass bitch everyone put her to be. Even her own child had looked at her funny. Her mind hadn't changed either. After four years, she still had the most violent urges to just mutilate anything. Her feelings bounced off the wall, and during the first months of her child's arrival, she was emotionless. Though the relationship with Sammie and Magix hadn't changed at all. Sammie, still the friend she adored and loved, along with Sammie's new beau. She often saw them around since she took her son out a lot while his father was away. In this case, reminded her of the love she and Zax shared. The flame was still lit, and the majorly feelings never seemed to cease away. Though the two's wedding wasn't the biggest one of the year, but it was enough to show that crazy people CAN love.

At this hour though, Syn sat near the pond of which she'd almost been killed in, watching her little one run around, picking flowers, and handing them to her. The beautiful smile that her child had on his face made Syn smile always. The sun was high in that bright, blue sky, and Syn soaked up the sun more than ever, letting her blond land over her shoulders, while watching her son play with the wind.

During the four years was total hell for Zax. Everyday there was another problem that he, single handedly, had to solve, but that never took him away from Syn and their beautiful child. No matter how much stress he had from the many electrical problems, fierce animal attacks, and the rare, but deadly attack by raiders, he would go to Syn and their beautiful son, Vincent, and feel whole once more. He tried his best to be a great father and a wonderful husband, but sometimes, the outside forces and problems pushed them away, but in the end they would always come back together to celebrate their love with a date on the town.

Zax took a close look at Magix and saw him flourish with his inventions, even though the technology they had wasn't the best. Magix did his part by helping out with the defenses and technological advances in the city. Zax and Magix got close from their many nights of constantly working on the cities defenses and fighting away the attackers whether it be animal or man.

The biological advances were the slowest of all, making Sammie and her new powers inch along like a snail on the pavement. Zax tried his best to keep the biological testing non-fatal, but without technology, they were forced to stick with plutonium and radioactivity which Zax refused to make Sammie go through. He began to trust her after the first few years, seeing her liking the new Magix and noticing that she was going to be a great prodigy.

Zax put his hands on Syn's shoulders and began to rub slowly, "You sure love this pond... don't you...?" He said in a tired voice, "Hey champ," he said, looking at Vincent and smiling weakly, "Keeping your mommy from going insane...?" he joked and continued to rub her shoulders lightly. He always tried to keep Syn in good mood, wanting to keep her from sadness and depression.

(Ok at least the most active of the last one will be here. Welcome back Syn.)

Magix heads out of his house and heads over to Sammie's while carrying his laptop and a few other thing in a bag. It was no super computer but it would have to do for now. When he finally gets over to Sammie's he knocks on the door. He was wearing blue jeans, a bright yellow shirt, and his brace that shot the poison needles. "Come on Sammie, open up. We're burning daylight and todays gonna be good. I can feel it."

Sammie had been inside and getting ready for the day that was ahead of her. She had plans to go over to Magix's house this morning since they were going to spend the day together. Sammie knew that she didnt need to be over at the labs today since the scientists were still trying to come up with a way of getting it to work, while also making sure that The Wraith was ok with what they were trying. There had been enough dissagreements over the past four years about what was too unsafe for Sammie to try. It wasnt that she had a problem with trying anything. She was still in the frame of mind that if anything had a chance of getting rid of the nightmares then she was all for it.

Half way through doing her hair Sammie heard a knock at the door and Magix's voice telling her to hurry up. Laughing she knew how impatient he could be. "I'm coming, hang on" Sammie called out to him as she walked to the front door wearing a pair of dark jeans and a hot pink shirt, still with her hair undone. "I would have been over there in a few minutes, just hang on while I finish my hair and then I am ready" Sammie said as she gave him a light kiss and left the door open for him so that he could come inside before heading back to the mirror in her bedroom which was just off the hallway and finished up her hair, a smile on her face. Sammie always seemed to be smiling when she was around Magix.

Magix sighs as he walks inside Sammie's house. "Women and their hair. No stopping it I suppose." He stretches a bit and leans against a wall. "So Sammie what do you want to do today? The defense system is pretty much finished, and I don't think I have much to do today so I'm all yours. How's your mind training thing going?"

"Umm the mind thing is fine" Sammie said a little reluctant to talk about it. She didnt like talking about it outside the lab since she found it quite personal. It was a bit like her nightmares in the fact that she didnt like mentioning them. "I guess we could just hang out, maybe go for a walk or something. It has been ages since we have done that" Sammie suggested. They had both been busy with their specialties for the past few days that they hadnt been able to spend a lot of time together, or as much time as they would have liked. Sammie walked out of the bedroom with her hair done and brushed as she smiled at Magix as he leant against the wall "Was there anything specific you wanted to do today?" She asked.

Magix smiles and shakes his head. "Nope. I just need to let Zax know about the most recent completed additions to the defense system. A walk sounds fine to me. So shall we go then?" Magix walks outside and looks around. Their little wooden village had changed so much in only a few years. Then Magix looked up. The sun was bright and the clouds were big. Today was the perfect day for a walk and the company he would have with him just made it all the better.

Syn's shoulders' joints seemed to settle. They had become so tense recently. They hadn't been in much tension since the third month of Vincent's birth. Because of Syn's mental problems over her years of being alive, had caused her to suffer depression after spending a total of sixteen hours in the not-so-finished hospital they were building four months before she was admitted. As he was rubbing her shoulders, she couldn't help, but bring back the memory of that faithful day where her son traveled into the world. She couldn't remember much, but she could remember Zax had been beside of her almost the whole time, rubbing her shoulders like he was now. She snapped out of her thoughts when a small body sat on top of her lap. She took her hand and ruffled Vincent's hair. Vincent Zax Parley. The name had been picked by Zax of course, but the rest was all Syn's idea. She looked down at him, showing that Vincent could resemblance of his father, which made her warm inside. Vincent grew irritated, and pushed his mother's hand away from his head, and looked up at his father with dark, blue eyes. "That's impossible, daddy," Vincent replied.

Being Zax's child, Syn predicted he would be one intelligent boy. Her prediction had been correct. For a four-year-old, Vincent seemed as if he was born with a mind that was abnormal to other babies born in that society. Having to be born two weeks before his original time, Syn could have sworn that her prediction would have taken a wrong turn, but miraculously, it hadn't. Though this intelligence was all thanks to his father. Teaching his son almost anything there was to teach, and since Vincent had been such a patient toddler, [now child,] his ears were always wide open. All Syn could do was watch her husband build her son.

Vincent asked his mother; "Can I walk around?" She nodded, and off the boy went. She sighed, and looked up to Zax, and smiled. She straightened her posture, and stared out to the pond. "I love this pond," Syn replied, "it brings back some...memories." She smiled again, and enjoyed the feeling of her muscles being put back into place.

Meanwhile, Vincent had scurried away from the pond. He figured since all his mother and father do was talk about about the new life in the society, he didn't want to be apart of it. On the streets away from where they sat, he noticed that Magix and Sammie were walking. The boy smiled wide, and ran to them, grabbing onto Magix's leg, and kept a firm grip.

The past four years for Chris, could he have called them horrible? Absolutely not, in fact he ranked them as his best yet. He knew that he'd turned 30, or would soon enough and for some reason to him that was an accomplishment. Even though he'd gained some control over the hatred for his mother the instability was still there. One problem in particular had yet to be solved. Syn, in all glory had probably cheered when Chris had distanced himself from her. Yet, as one of his psychiatrists had told him the only way to fix a problem is to face it head on. Well, Chris had news for the man; avoiding the problem worked just as well if not better.

The fact of the matter remained, and that was that he now had a personal home made of sticks and he damn well liked it. Built some part by Chris it had three rooms, two of which had fully operating plumbing while the other had no need for it. Technology was nearly nonexistent in the place and Chris refused to allow any to enter the doorway. Books and texts from history to sci-fi to theories littered the floor of the entire home. A medical bed lay near the bedroom wall, its sheets constantly slipping from the corners as they did now. More importantly, the home had a wall that could be written on, and Chris did enjoy this pass time. Things he saw, alphabets he was trying to learn as well as some he made up were scrawled everywhere on the stained wood.

Today the door swung ajar as Chris took to walking about when the day called for it, and today it did. The cool dirt that encircled his feet with every step curved through trees until, nearly ten miles away it disappeared. Replaced by the known ground of the community The Wraith had built. Taken aback by its recent burst in progression he walked around in hopes of finding something interesting as well as more literature for home.

"God that boy has my smarts and your patience..." Zax said as he watched the small child run away, "I have never seen a child gain stability in his feet and actually run this early in the growing process," he said and continued to rub her neck, traveling down her back and back up to her neck. He loved giving Syn back massages and enjoyed the happiness and tranquility she got from it. Her calm, relaxing sensation was contagious as it always made Zax feel so much better.

The moment didn't last long until he heard a familiar chirping sound and sighed. He reached down towards his pager and read the message it was stating, "WE HAVE A PROBLEM - BRUCIE." he groaned and took the clipped pager from his pocket and tossed it out of the way, "What else is new...?" he said in a low voice, continuing his massage on Syn and not worrying about the problem yet, "This pond really does have a kind of... dream like state to it..." he said and gave Syn a kiss on her cheek from behind, "How was your day so far?"

Magix and Sammie were just walking around together. After being so busy it was nice to just walk around. Then suddenly he felt his leg get heavy, and a pressure around it. He stopped walking and looked down noticing Vincent latched on to his leg. He pulls him off his leg and crouches next to him. "Hello Vincent. It's been a few days, hasn't it. How are you on this fine day and does mommy and daddy know your walking around or did you just leave again?"

Sammie smiled when she saw that Vincent had attached himself to Magix's leg. The boy was adorable in her eyes. She loved watching him grow and she loved seeing the looks of love and devotion in both Syn and The Wraith's eyes when they were looking at him. Like the predictions he really was growing up in a society that would grow to worship him because of who his father was. Everybody knew his name along with everything else about him.

"Hey Vincent, have you been a good boy for your mother?" Sammie asked with a smile as she looked down at the young boy. Sammie loved this young boy almost as much as she believed she would love her own child. She had been there to help Syn every step of the way with the pregnancy and with taking care of him when The Wraith was away on business. Sammie enjoyed it. Someday she wanted kids of her own and only wished that they were as smart and as well behaved as Vincent was.

Looking up she spotted Syn and The Wraith sitting a little way away from them on the side of the lake. Sammie had often found Syn there when she wanted to talk to her so it didnt suprise her that she was there this morning. "They are just sitting over there" Sammie said as she pointed it out to Magix, lifting a finger in their direction with a smile.

Magix turns to where Sammie was pointing and saw Zax and Syn. He smiles and picks up Vincent. "Shall we go see them then, or do you think we should get some ice cream first? I'll let you choose Vincent." They didn't exactly have the most extensive items in the village but they did have a decent selection. They did have ice cream though due to many children being there.

Syn groaned as well. "I hate that fucking thing," she said. The constant beeping kept irritating her ears, and messing with her mind. That beeper always got in the way of when she and Zax were actually compassionate together. She had read the message, and remembered Bruce, and how she missed talking to him. He and Sammie had been there a lot to help care for Vincent whenever Zax had been away, and if she was lucky, Bruce would bring some extra supplies for her enough to last for that week. "The pond is dreamy," she replied, "so dreamy where I've fallen asleep while Vincent almost drowned a few months ago." She remembered that day well; the sounds of Vincent's small cries, and her having to jump in and rescue him. But all of a sudden, the name Vincent rang in her head. Her eyes scanned the pond area. "Zax? Where's Vincent?" Panicking, she got to her feet, jolting her body different directions. This wasn't the first time Vincent had left without a trace...

Vincent looked up at the two. "Don't worry," Vincent said to them, "she'll find me 'ventually!" A large grin came from the boy's face. He loved to worry his mother. Ever since he was a small toddler, he'd hide inside her newly built home just so she would go crazy to knock over furniture, throw things, and search frantically. This always made him giggle, and normally, that would set his cover off. But with every time he hid from her, he always got whipped or yelled at, but taking his father's brutal attitude, he didn't care. He turned his head to Sammie, and asked, "Mommy will find me soon, I wanna walk with you!" Another giggle, another hiding game.

Sammie shook her head to Magix's suggestion. She had known Syn long enough to know that she would become distressed if she didnt know where her son was. It was the only trouble anyone had ever had with the young boy. He loved to hide from his mother and cause her to worry. Sammie had helped her try to find him on many occasions and it had never ended well. It was obvious that the boy was up to something since he had this huge grin on his face.

"Alright well how about you walk with us and we can go and get some ice cream but we go and tell your Mummy and Daddy that you are coming with us so that they dont worry about you?" Sammie suggested to the young boy. She didnt want to take VIncent with them if Syn didnt know about it. She didnt want to get into trouble or cause Syn any unneeded stress. "Then you could spend all day with us if you wanted" Sammie also suggested, knowing that The Wraith was back and supost to not be busy today so maybe it would be good to give the couple some alone time.
