<A young, good looking blonde woman smiles warmly and sits up straight as the camera pans over to where she is sitting with her co-anchor; an older, clean cut man who looks to be in his late fifties.>
"Thank you for tuning into America Today on channel 5. I'm Sarah Foster, here to deliver the latest breaking stories with my co-host, Adam Brinkley"
"Thank you, Sarah." <He turns away from Ms. Foster and looks into the camera> "Our top astronomers report that tonight, an extremely rare natural phenomenon is going to occur. Not only will our moon be full over the U.S. but it is reported to be blue. On top of this, it will reach its highest point at midnight. Superstitious people all over disagree on what this will mean for our world. Some say it is a good sign, while others belive it to be a bad omen."
<The camera pans over to Ms. Foster>
"Wow, a full, blue moon. From what I hear, the local observatories are filling up fast and people are building their own homemade telescopes. It seems the entire country will be out to witness this monumentous event tonight..."

<The usually composed Sarah Foster looks frazzled and unsure. Her co-anchor is absent from his usual seat. Her generally strong, clear voice is now edgey and shakey>
"I'm Sarah Foster on channel 5, America Today. As most of you have realized, people all over the country vanished last night when midnight hit in their time zones. It would seem, however, that these vanishings were not random. We have been recieving reports all morning of the people who disappeared last night. It would appear that those who are missing in action were not looking at the moon when it reached its highest point. We've been getting calls all morning from skeptics to not put this on the air, but this is what the statistics are showing."
7 years later....
July 7, 2009
<A young man now sits in the chair Sarah Foster gave up a few years ago>
"James Byron here to bring you the latest news on America Today. And what a story it is too, wouldn't you agree Gina?"
<Camera pans over to the young red-head, Gina Lawson, sitting in Mr. Brinkley's old spot>
"You're telling me James." <she faces the camera> "Many of you remember the strange occurance with the blue moon seven years ago. Well today, we've recieved reports of some of those missing people returning to the exact places they vanished from. It's almost as if they never left. Some believe this to be an elaborate cult's hoax, and some believe aliens are involved. Not all of the missing people have returned, actually only about 34% are back now."
<The two hosts put their hands to their ears pieces.>
"Gina, better change that stat to 65%...."
Phew! Okay, here's the gist.
Seven years ago, during the blue moon, anyone who wasn't looking at it when at exactly midnight, when the moon was at its highest point, vanished. No one knows what happened, or where they went. They just vanished. Mind you, everyone's eyes were watching the moon that night, so the number of people who vanished is not a large one. Some weren't looking because they were busy, some distracted, and some just didn't care.
Now, seven years later, they are showing up again. These people are the same age as when they left, and they have no recollection of what happened. They reappear doing exactly what they had been when they vanished. Whether it be sleeping or working. The only problem is, their loved ones have moved on and aged with time.
Another odd thing that happened is these people came back with certain abilities. Some can read minds, some can move quickly, and others control the elements. Most aren't really aware of these abilities yet, and they're dealing with the realization of what happened. It's almost as if these people suffer from some kind of memory loss.
Not only are they dealing with these problems, but a new one is developing. A group of scientists who call themselves SERO (Science to Explain Random Occurances) are hunting them down. Since they were pronounced legally dead a month ago, these scientists don't view them as people, but subjects. They are hunting down what they call "Blues."
RULES:-You must have two characters. One has to be a SERO, the other can be either a Blue or a Normal Citizen. This is mostly to keep the story going so we don't have nothing but Blues.
-No one liners. Seriously, if you have "writer's block," walk away from the computer for a few minutes until you come up with something. A few are okay I suppose, but keep them to the Absolute Minimum!
-Be creative. I don't want like seven characters with some kind of mind ability.
-the usual rules apply.
-I am God in this RP.
IMPORTANT:
Your first post (if you're accepted) should be when your character first comes back. They have no idea what is going on, and they are in the exact same places and positions they were in when they left. This means that some will land in a place they know, but will still be confused. Any questions, shoot me a PM

MY CHARACTERS:
Name: Carson Thane Evander
Age: 20
Ability: Copy Cat (Cuz I'm the GM, and I can
Appearance: Ignore the owl...

Personality: Carson has always been a caring person. He's willing to listen to anyone's problems and does his best to try to understand. He always looks for the good in people which sometimes gets him in trouble. He can usually tell where someone is coming from, and looks at a problem from the point of view of everyone involved so he can come up with the best solution. Carson is the kind of guy no one is afraid to be open around. He's laid-back, carefree, and an overall genuinely nice person (which lands him in trouble frequently).
Life before the Moon: Carson had been accepted into, and was attending an ivy-league university. He was back at home, complaining about how much he hated it there during the moon. His father had been the one to convince him to attend the school, but Carson couldn't relate to most of the people there. They all focused all their energy on work, and most of them were cold and isolated.
During the Blue Moon, Carson had wanted to go out and see it. His family had even built a telescope the week before and it turned out pretty well. His 16 year old sister (at the time) Clara, had wanted to see the moon through the telescope at midnight. Carson cared for his little sister, and it didn't really matter to him, so he let her look through it. At exactly midnight, Carson just happened to be adjusting the telescope when he vanished.
Name: Clara Marie Evander
Age: 23 (16 before disappearances)
Appearance:

Which Blue they know and how they're related: Carson Evander's sister
Personality: Clara has always been the more agressive of the two siblings. She never could understand why her big brother put up with so much crap, as she put it. She's not afraid to speak her mind, and can sometimes get a little rough. She's hot tempered, and a little fussy. She's not picky about anything, but her way is "always the right one."
History (optional): When Carson disappeared, it hit Clara hard. Her and her brother had been very close, and though she told him on a regular basis he was push-over, she looked up to him. When he'd vanished because he wasn't looking through the telescope at the moon, she beat herself up over it. If she hadn't insisted on him adjusting it, he'd still be there...
Name: Logan Nathaniel Williams
Age: (at least 25) 28
Title/Position: Head of Research
Appearance (Picture preferred, anime or photo):

Personality: Logan has always been curious and not afraid to learn more. This event is no exception and he intends to find answers. He may come across as heartless and cruel, but his excuse for the things he's done are "It's all in the name of science." To an extent, he uses his work as an excuse for his actions. He will go to untold lengths to get the answers he seeks.
History (optional): N/A
