"He started it. He's gonna be in the isolation room forever," Elle said stomping into the living room.

Joey had gotten off of her and watch her stomp into the living room. Suddenly he noticed the scrape on his arm and right then, he began to feel the pain of it. He began to sniffle and then the waterworks began. Tears started falling down his cheeks and he began to wail. He sat down on the steps and started sobbing.

Serena crossed her arms and said sternly, "Well it serves you right since you started it." But when the boy continued to wail, she took pity on him and sat down beside him, putting her arm around him. "Hey, it's ok, it's just a little scratch. We can get that fixed up in no time. Ok?"

He began to sniffle again but restrained the tears.

"I. d-didn't start it. S-she was being m-mean."

His eyes began to well up with tears again. He didn't like being made the bad guy when he was defending someone.

"I-i'm not the b-bad guy."

Serena felt bad for the boy. He was new to Elle's antics and the daily insanity of this home. "I know, Elle can be pretty mean sometimes, but you shouldn't have pushed her. That's no way to solve the problem. Don't worry, you'll get used to her just like the rest of us."

Joey didn't want to get used to her.

"My mommy will come back. She promised."

His mom had one day just packed his suitcase. He had found her in his room muttering something about not being able to handle it. When he asked her what was going on she told him they were going for a ride. He believed her and sat in the back seat of the van. He was coloring in his coloring book when she stopped. She told him to put it away so he did. She told him to get out and to take his suitcase. Joey did what he was told and she said to him, 'I'll be back, I promise.' She then raced off. The last emotion he saw on her face was that of hatred but he was too young to really understand. She hadn't come back yet.

Joey was still waiting for her. It had been about a day now and he was starting to get scared but believed his mom. He fiddled with his thumbs and looked at Serena.

"Do you think that girl is mean because her mommy isn't here?" he asked.

Serena felt a pang of sadness at Joey's question. She herself had never known her mother; her father was all she had ever had. "That could be why, Joey. I'm sure she misses her mommy and daddy just like the rest of us."

Katie walked over to them and sat down. She stuck her thumb in her mouth and held onto Serena's arm with the other hand.

Serena turned to look at Katie. "Hey sweetie, are you ok?"

Katie nodded. "I want mommy."

Snake and Frankie had gone up to thier rooms. Asha skipped over to Ali "Hey, sup?" She asked, then when Elle came in she held her by the wrist and put her over her shoulder, again not letting go. Not much things hurt her, so she just laughed and whipered "Kick, pinch, punch all you want, it won't make me let go" She whispered, then turned back to Ali

Serena hugged the two kids on either side of her. "Aww, guys, come on, it's going to be alright. At least we have each other now. I'll be your friend if you'll be mine."

Asha laughed, then put down Elle. "No one come with me" She said, then climbed up the tree to her treehouse, then bolted the doors and where the plastic windows are. She lay down and got out her scrapbook, turning on MCR now.

Elle looked at the hose sitting on the side of the house. She skipped over to it and turned it on. She flashed her evil grin and then pointed it at Serena, Katie and the new boy. She giggled as they were splashed with water.

Serena leaped up and screamed at the shock of the cold water. "AAAAH! What do you think you're doing?!?! That is it!!" Serena leaped off the porch and took off running toward Elle.

Elle grinned and turned the hose power up. She kept in faced at Serena, even though she knew it couldn't hold her out for long.

Serena screamed and tried to fight off the water with her hands as she ran blindly toward Elle. She slipped in the wet grass and hit the ground hard.
