Sofia's rage builds up once again, and she screams in protest at the attacking Poppets. Her power, which is connected to her emotions, finally kicks in. Dust and trashcans fly out of the way when a shockwave of kinetic energy bursts from her body, and glass windows can be heard breaking in the distance. Without even touching the Poppets, the five that remain clinging to her body are sent in all directions, ripping her skin and clothes. She is bleeding in several places now, and her lips is busted, but she hastily gets to her feet, obeying the older Vigilant's orders and stands opposing him, her back facing his.
"This is getting very tricky," she calls, her hands working in motions to pick up the pipe she had used earlier to impale one of the dead Poppets. Several other jagged pipes and large shards of glass collect in front of her as she decides to take the offensive. "First these creatures, and now it's completely dark. What is the meaning of this?"

Nail did say anything right away, instead he concentrated on expanding his barrier around himself and the Russian, so that a shield of circling rocks protected them both, at least from mindless poppets. It was a simple enough trick to master but it could easy be broken by a demon, if they were willing a few flesh wounds by force or cleaver enough to hit him with a well timed projectile.
"Me thinks we got a cabal of demons in this city" he said, waiting for the next attack, "Several at least. I thought maybe two or three from the differences in the dead poppets but this smells of more on the half dozen side of the fence, maybe more."
