My handwriting is almost illegible. I can read notes I take during a hearing or investigation that doesn't allow me to have a laptop nearby if necessary, but no one else can read them. The only other time that my handwritten work is legible and useful is when I'm teaching using either a chalkboard or a whiteboard.

Pen; all the way. However, that also requires me to sitting down for a few hours where I can aimlessly scribble and scrawl illegibly, cross things out and re-write it so it's neat enough for my fussy tendencies. So keyboard tends to be my mode of operation but when I can do it with pen(special Parker pen!) and paper.
Gasmask: Alright. Either your CD is corrupted, which'd explain the crashing and odd stuffs.
Imehal: Or?

My handwriting looks like that of a third grader. I am much more into computers and word documents than handwriting stuff.

Definitely prefer typing here. I think my notes back in highschool would have been a hundred times better if I had been allowed to use a laptop in class. I can type much faster and keep up easily. With pen and paper, my wrist is cramping up in no time, my hand writing is abysmal and speed wise, I just can't flood out notes like I can with a keyboard.

Probably as a result of the above reasons I never really took a liking to pen and paper, though oddly enough I did enjoy calligraphy. I never claimed I was consistent ^^;

It depends. Writing my stories I prefer laptop and typing because it doesn't make my hand hurt and I don't waste paper. Taking notes and other things, it has to be writing it because I take it in and I can't keep up when listening and trying to type at the same time.

I have written a whole book on a total of... 8 notebooks and some random loose pages. lol
Until July of 2010 I did not own a computer. All I had was pen and paper. And a borrowed, very old, desktop pc. That was usually always broken.

I love writing and I literally wept when they stopped manufacturing my favorite ballpoint pen. I did manage to find a box of 50 online and bought it. I am that annoying with my choice of pens. (I have emptied/lost all of them already. *sigh*)

But I don't handwrite anything meant for other people's eyes because... My handwriting is the ugliest thing I've ever seen. Honestly. You'd go blind just trying to make it out. And then I'd get sued. So... No thanks.
Don't want to be the one to walk away
But I can't bear the thought of one more day
I think I finally understand what it means to be lost

Can't find the road to lead us out of this
A million miles from where we burned the bridge
can't keep pretending everything's going to be alright
with the whole world falling around me

Cross the oceans in my mind, find the strength to say goodbye
In the end you never can wash the blood from your hands

I basically just use processor, sometimes I use my pen when I'm jotting something down that isn't too long, but for everything else it's my computer.

I love writing with my natural hand but typing to me isn't a big deal at all, it allows me to use prettier fonts I wish I had in my own writing. But over all my handwriting is really neat anyway and I am told I write really big but whatever. lol So processor = Pen IMO only because I don't feel like my handwriting is all that bad. xD

I'll jot notes down if I'm not at home, even write posts that way, but I prefer to work on my computer given the choice.

It depends on the situation. In certain scenarios, it is much more effective for me to type, such as when writing good copies of notes and the likes, simply for time's and neatness' sakes. When I'm typing, I can get words out more in synch with my train of thought; suffice to say it takes a lot longer to write a word out then it does to type it. However, if I'm simply jotting down ideas, or working on a preliminary draft of anything, I prefer to write it by hand because yes, it is more personal. When I'm working on my stories, or I'm figuring out the laws and workings of a fictional world, I always take these notes and thoughts down in my journals / sketchbooks.

And yes, that is my normal handwriting. Most people complain that is completely illegible, as with Jag. Even when I stand up to read at writing workshops, I often stumble over my own writing. When it comes to creative writing or formal reports, handwriting first often helps with the writing and thought process and produces better work. Unfortunately it's not very conducive to sharing. (If you can't read what it says, ask.)

For an example of one page of a very long handwritten draft of one of my recent roleplay posts, see this image. You'll find the post itself here.

May 2012: I'm currently researching roleplaying and need any roleplayers to take an anonymous survey. It takes an average of 25 minutes to complete. This is part one, and the second survey will be released soon.

I hate writing with a pen or pencil -- always have, even before I knew what a keyboard was. In my opinion, computers are vastly superior to paper in almost every way.

EDIT: Well, that isn't exactly true. I actually don't mind writing with a ballpoint pen all that much, and I like using a tablet (that reminds me: I should use my tablet more. Does anyone know what software is good for writing with a tablet?)

Literally, it depends on my mood.
Sometimes, I just want to type, or I want the story to come out with a font and color that I think readily fits the stories.
However, mostly, I just like free-handing it all. I like my pens and pencils, and I like the way I write. I think I'll find something I've written and show you all. I'd just have to find one I'm willing to utilize.

Here it is:

Wow, jaj, that's cool. ;_____; I wish I knew how to just switch between handwriting like that. Is that something you have to practice when you're young? Have you always been able to do that? I know that's certainly a trick that I can't pull.
