Text Talk While Roleplaying
Sometimes I just want to smack them with a dictionary and make them retake third grade. It's so freaking annoying, not to mention disrespectful. They're basically saying, "Oh, yep, I'm roleplaying with you but I can't be bothered to write like a literate human being."
Mary Sues/Gary Stus
Oh man, if you thought that I was done ranting, you thought wrong. The all too perfect characters piss me off. Give me a flaw! I want to see chinks in their armors! I want to know about the fact they are extremely nerdy and not beautiful, or heavier set, or just not perfect!
Connected to the Mary Sue bullcrap is the overly tragic history. "Yada yada, my parents were killed in front of me and my brothers and sisters and their murderer took me in and taught me everything he knew until I ended up killing him." JEEZ! They're annoying, cliche, not to mention just completely melodramatic in a bad way. Every good story needs some sort of problems, but the characters should not be the things wrong!

Pet Peeves;
Oh lordy, I've never sat down and thought all of my pet peeves out.

- Metal scraping against metal; like when a knife scrapes against a sink.
- People who TyP3 L1K3 D15 and don't use proper English. I understand spelling mistakes but U R COOTE is not a spelling mistake.
- As someone said above, hair in the bathtub. It makes me gag. Or wet hair in general.
- When people can't take things seriously when you're being completely serious.

I'm pretty sure if I went on I would be here all night typing, but those are my top 4.

Liars, particularly people I've caught lying, they know I've caught them lying, and they continue to jerk my chain anyway.

GRAMMAR AND SPELLING ERRORS. MOTHER OF GOD. WHY CAN'T THEY MAKE AN EFFORT TO NOT USE CHAT SPEAK?! CHEEZUS.

Listening to the radio (not even willingly). Their ads, holy hell, they just annoy me in a very unhealthy way.

Rap. Hate rap music with a passion... TOO BAD GORILLAZ LIKE TO THROW IN RANDOM RAPPERS IN THEIR NEARLY ALL OF THEIR SONGS.

People who want to have written a story but don't have a story that they want to write and don't think that they should have to come up with one. I see this all too often on a site I frequent - people decide that it would be cool/fun to write a book, then expect other people to come up with everything for them. Even more annoying is when they specifically ask for "unique", "original", or "creative" plots or when they admit that they're perfectly capable of coming up with ideas but just don't like their own ideas. I doubt these wannabe writers understand the difficulty of writing a book worth reading in the first place or even getting published, and they expect others to take the time to do their work for them.

One of my biggest pet peeves is people talking to me/others in the middle of movies/plays/etc.
And chat speak |D Half the time I haven't the faintest idea what's being said.

People telling you the ending of a book or show you have been reading/watching for ages.

People who snap thier fingers at you to get your attention.
People who don't use thier turn signals.
Hollywoods new fascination with mutilating poor, defenseless Greek mythology.
People that take up two parking spaces.
People who are proud of getting a D in class.
When someone talks to you just because, they need something.
People who complain constantly and never follow the advice given.
People who get on a smokers case about smoking. I don't smoke, but I still find it extremely rude.

When someone obviously sees me reading, and it happens to be an intense part but they decide to talk to me anyway.

It is MINE! Not YOURS! OFF LIMITS! Jeez, I know it's puffy and tempting, but SOME PEOPLE need to show some RESTRAINT. I've had random people chase me around a room to touch my hair. I got cornered once. Bad, BAD experience. Sometimes, it's a creepy long stroke, and I kinda feel like running away and hiding. It's even worse when people do it to annoy me. That's when the violence starts. Hey, they had fair warning...

Facebook chain letters.

Horrible exploitive things, all these ones like 'For every like, one dollar will be donated to getting Little Timmy a new torso!' or similar.

Oh really?

Who is donating this money?

Some variety of insane philanthropist who decided that rather than just pay to save a child, they have to check with The Internet to see if they're sufficiently adorable enough to be worth saving?

Not only is it a massive scam made by people to get likes, but the people who like it get all sanctimonious if anyone points out that it's a massive scam and accuse said person of being a heartless monster just because they've worked out that liking a photo is going to do nothing but get the idiot who started it more hits.

ARGH.

People who squish bugs. I don't like it.

Although I acknowledge that grammar is a human invention, a conceptual standard one willingly conforms to, it irks me when people do not follow it.

I despise bigotry above all else, though.
