I'm being a bit cheeky, what with this being only my second post, but I'd like to take this opportunity to advertise my board, Twisted Realities. I'd normally wait a bit, but I've just finished doing an advert on Live Journal and all my links are handy right now.
The site rpg is called 'The Open Window', a name chosen by members of the board. While TOW was once a Battle RPG it became a Freeform RPG, with optional battling, during a revamp last year. TOW is original characters only, with no characters from any of the shows or films permitted.
Within TOW there are three universes which meet in a fourth universe. First there is the magical universe of Realme Enchante, set in a Paris and influenced by the TV shows Charmed and Supernatural. Then there is the superhero/mutant universe, Hidden Alliance, that is based loosely on Heroes. Finally there is Exodus Omega Dawn, which is set in a dark, post apocalyptic cyberpunk style universe with influences from Star Wars, The Matrix, and from the computer game Fallout. Characters can interact freely within their own universe, and with characters from other universes in 'The Third Rock Conference'.

Hey, I just thought that I'd tell everyone here, a roleplay by the name of The Dark Wars that I'm involved in is looking for recruits, so, if you feel up to answering the call, just come over, post an application and register. I am the co-CEO of a up-and-coming production company in the rising video game industry and the hugely successful novel world. I have been tasked with the creation of role-play forum which is set to precede a novel/video game series currently in productions. I am interested to know if any of you wish to join.
Setting: You are Serian. A peaceful culture which has colonized the Alpha Centauri system and has made beautiful, prosperous worlds throughout their territories. But the recent discovery of an unknown alien force known only to you as "The Invaders" are threatening everything you have ever know. Will you stand up against them? Will you join up in The Alliance Military and protect your people. The Sons of Cruxious uses extreme discipline of their mind to use powers unknown to the rest of the galaxy. Meh, why not. I used to be mod on a different forum, but lost my status after I became bored of the always inactive forum.

We've been running for 8 years now (since 2000) and we have several factions to choose from (and independent plots as well). There's a forum that I visit that has a handful of good people out of a few thousand, attached to a game called NationStates (which is also a terrible game intended to advertise a terrible book by an unsurprisingly terrible author, but anyway). If you can find them, they're worth having as friends.

I have a place where I RP, called _D_r_a_g_o_n_W_a_r_r_i_o_r_. It's a building game based on the old Dragon Warrior games that was made with DreamMaker, which is a coding program ran with BYOND. I recently started my own role playing forums and was wondering if anyone wants to join them and roleplay with us at Alpha.
We're very free with our role play and generally let our members go anywhere they like with their stories, so long as it isn't obscenely extreme and offends other members. Also, being in the infant stages of the community I am looking for staff members, moderators and the such and it will pretty much be a first come first serve basis.

Yes that is a very high possibility. If you join and show me good writing potential then you might just become the first moderator of Alpha!
You're welcome to do animal role plays if you want, although you might have to bring along some of your friends who do animal roleplays as well because I don't believe I have anyone interested in that type of roleplay. However you are welcome to create one!
