Heros

What's your real name?: Adelle Wyght
What's your costume's name?: Tank
Are you a hero or a villan?: A hero.
What does your costume look like?: I wear a legless body suit, the bottom bit is black and there is a grey 'belt' around the middle. The top half and the sleeves are in camouflage print. A black mask covers my forehead and right cheek. On my left cheek I wear line of black paint.
What do you look like?: I'm fairly average hieght, and I keep my body in good shape. I have short blonde hair and blue eyes. I often wear tighter fitted skirts that'll hit my knee, and tank tops to show of the tattos I have on my arms and back. There are none on my legs, because people might recognize them when I'm in costume.
Do you have powers? If so, what are they: I'm unbelievably strong.
What made you what you are?: I was adopted because I got taken away from my parents as a baby. They were both addicted to drugs and neglected to take care of me as well as they should have. My adoptive father abused me until I got my first period. I never told anyone, but I vowed to myself that I wouldn't let horrible things like that happen to any other undeserving people, children or otherwise.
I supposed my strength was a birth defect because my mother drank and did drugs while she was pregnant with me. I never really tried to figure it out though.
I'm usually a very fun person. I like telling jokes and I can laugh at myself when I do something stupid. Although, I can be very serious when the occasion calls for it. I've never killed anyone, and I intend to keep it that way.

What's your real name?: Jaqualine Daniels
What's your costume's name?: Joanna (pronounced go-anna like the Aussie lizard)
Are you a hero or a villan?: Hero
What does your costume look like?: What costume?
What do you look like?: Joanna
Do you have powers? If so, what are they: Skin that changes color (mildly so) and is as thick as old leather. Climbing, swiming, gouging the living snot out of anything unfortunate enough to get caught in her claws or teeth (Hell if you had chompers like that YOU'D use em, too). Quicker then human, but loathes the cold, and in spite of her appearance she's quite adept at slipping off.
What made you what you are?: Jaqualine was a herpatologist (reptile study) deep in the Arizona deserts. She lived happily in the opressive heat, studying anything that wore scales. It became more then a field of study when she chased an elusive lizard deep into ancient native-american ruins. The brightly-colored creature she chased was an illusion, and deep within a well of arcane power, the old and wiley trickster God known only to his people as Coyote 'rewarded' Jaq's enthusiastic obsession by changing her into what she is now. When word reached the now-mutated survivalist of other such powered individuals, she set out to join their number. If she was stuck, she may as well do just as reptiles had done for millenia... adapt.

What's your real name?: Francesca "Frankie" Monticella
What's your costume's name?: Hotspur
Are you a hero or a villan?: Hero
What does your costume look like?: A red robe with a black hood with black mesh over the front that she can see in but others can't see out. The robe comes to a little above the ankles and has a slit in each side up to the waist. With it, she wears a black belt with a short sword hanging from it, black leggings, black gloves, black boots. This symbol in black is on the chest and back of the robe. Note, the clothes are all fire-proof.
What do you look like?: Frankie is a little short, but a little stronger than she looks. She has long brown hair that she keeps in a ponytail or braid and swampy brown-green eyes. Out of costume, she lives in jeans, sneakers, and t-shirts and has a thing for bright-colored shirts, especially tie-dye.
Do you have powers? If so, what are they: Flame and heat manipulation. Frankie can raise her own body temperature high enough to slightly burn people who touch her skin, as well as control it to only effect certain parts of her body, or heat objects she's holding or a small area around her if she really puts the energy into it. She can generate a limited amount of fire ranging from just summoning a bit on her finger or hand to englufing herself in a small inferno if she really pushes it. She can also manipulate fire from other sources to an extend, mostly making it move somewhere more convenient or shape itself into an image, using more energy as she tries to move larger blazes. Her powers require a ton of energy, pushing her body to its limits. A lot of her tricks can't be used for too long and she can easily overheat or exhaust herself if she pushes it too much. She is also extremely vulnerable to water. Along with not really being a natural swimmer, water saps her energy if she's using her powers and if she's wet, it takes twice as much energy or more to get less done.
What made you what you are?: Frankie is an amateur illusionist and theater performer/buff who was visting with friends in New Orleans around Halloween. Her friends dared her to spend the night in an old abandoned theater house that was supposedly haunted. Not only did Frankie stay there for the night, she brought along a copy of MacBeth, with a reputation as a cursed play, and decided to recite a few choice passages on the stage. She blacked out in the middle of act three, scene five- Hecate's monolouge. She woke up in one of the theater seats the next morning with her friends none the wiser, thought she vaugely recalled a dream where someone had taken some offense to being insulted and mocked in "my home", but her performance had piqued some interest. After several weeks of hot flashes and more strange dreams, Frankie was finally able to figure out about her abilities. Once she had the details worked out, she decided to set to work as a crime fighter. The law enforcement around where she lived was less than reliable, so she took it upon herself to pick up where she beleived they were slacking off.
Frankie herself is a friendly jokester with a love of all things theatrical. She likes showing off and having fun and lives to perform, considering Hotspur a character she "performs" for criminals and the people she's protecting. As such, she has gone to more-than-nessecary lengths to make sure there is no way to connect herself to Hotspur. When in costume, she speaks in a sort of Shakespearean lingo, puts in a slight English accent, and even seems to have a different personality- more sinister, more violent, with a bit of a temper. Frankie switches character almost as soon she slips her hood off and on...Which she has yet to do in front of anyone. As far as she can tell, nobody knows who she really is and she plans to keep it that way. Doing so would "ruin the whole illusion".

Villans

What's your real name?: Joshua Thatcher
What's your costume's name?: Kevlar
Are you a hero or a villan?: Villan
What does your costume look like?: A gray jumpsuit of neoprene with kevlar weave over thighs, shins, chest, back, and forearms. A black tactical vest over that, a backpack, belacava, and goggles. An MP-5 hangs from a three-point quick-release sling across his chest, a Sig-sauer p250 (.45 mod) against his ribs, a beefier springfield .45 at his right thigh. A combat knife is concealed in his boot, another on the inside of his vest.
What do you look like?: A shock of blood red hair over bright green eyes and a ready grin. Built slim but not skinny, standing at a solid 6'. Burn scars - hidden by the costume - travel from his hands, up his arms, to his neck and torso.
Do you have powers? If so, what are they: Strength and agility of a man who engages in intense, regular exercize. Special Forces infiltrator training and an uncanny knack for getting his bacon out of the fire ('devil's luck'). Extremely skilled in firearms and hand-to-hand combat, enjoys Parkour.
What made you what you are?: Joshua Thatcher was an infantryman in the US Army before displaying the kind of luck and tenacity that made for good Operatives. Selected into the 'black' ghost teams that operate where US presence cannot be publicly acknowledged, he served for several years. On a particularly touchy mission, however, Thatcher's team went out of communications.
A recon discovered the men slaughtered in a too-perfect ambush; everyone but Thatcher. Colored a traitor who sold his team for money, the man reappeared months later on the mercenary circut; serving cartels in a dozen countries as hitman, guard, and thief.

What's your costume's name?: Psyon
Are you a hero or a villan?: Villain
What does your costume look like?: Leon
Do you have powers? If so, what are they: Psyon is the strongest user of telekinetic abilities recorded so far. Anything that Psyon does is done through Telekinetics, wether it be flying by lifting himself with his mind or stopping bullets by extending a telekinetic wall from his hand.
What made you what you are?: When Leon was a teenager he fell while rock climbing. The head injuries he sustained were severe enough to leave him in a coma for two years. He suddenly, and violently, woke up in a hospital, scared and alone. He discovered his new abilities right away, but the head injury did more than grant him powers - It also warped his perception of thought, making him think that since he is special he should rule the inferior "Beta-Humans"

So 3 villans, a henchman, and one hero.

I can't see that being very much fun, for me anyway.
It is The Coilition after all, and a coilition must consist of more than just one.
I'll start the IC when there are more heros.

*Pops knuckles* I can very easily play both. Assuming you dont mind, of course, Eru. =D

Name: Stephan Wallis
Alias: General Freedom
Age: 28

Hero

Physical Description: 6’3 tall and 632 lbs. Has deep blue eyes and mousey brown hair. Normally wears casual clothes when out of costume. His costume is navy blue with a three-inch white strip along the outer portion of the legs and up the side, under the armpit, twisting along on the inside of the arm and folding over the forearms near the wrists. He has red flared gauntlets and red thigh-high boots folded over so the flap rides just under the knees. Around his waist rests a thick, wide blue leather belt and a strange tetrahedron as the buckle. He wears a three-quarter navy blue mask covering his face, leaving the jaw and mouth uncovered with white colored panels where his eyes would be. On his chest is a single white star, surrounded by a red border.

Bio: Stephan Wallis was a normal kid growing up in Dana Point California, his parents were both blue collar folk who did the best they could to raise their 5 children. Steve was an excellent student and athlete obtained entrance to Annapolis, where he graduated and served his 2 years in San Diego, CA. During his second year he entered the SEAL’S program to see if he was good enough to be a Navy Seal. After completing the intensive BUDS trials he graduated as the only one in his class. Stephan is assigned to SEAL team six obtaining a great deal of counter-terrorist training and intelligence and medical knowledge.

After two years, he was offered a position as a liaison for the Obsidian Company and their research for DARPA. It was here that Steve found that the Obsidian Co. was working on some reversed engineered technology they obtained from an alien crash site. Seeing the great harm that was being done to American citizens by the experiments being conducted, Steve tried to halt the program. During the scuffle he was knocked back into an oscillating blue field, as the alien energies coursed through his body he felt the as if he were being collapsed into nothing. The machine exploded causing the R&D facility to come down around him. It took several days before Steve was found.
He spent 7 months in Bethesda naval hospital before he was discharged honorably from the Navy. Little did he know that the energy in him had altered is molecular structure giving him control of the zero-point energy that courses through his body.

Powers:
Imperviousness: The zero-point cobalt energy in his body has given him an incredibly dense muscularity and skeletal system. He can withstand a 120mm cannon shell at point blank range.

Strength: He also has superhuman strength from the ZPE flowing through his body, able to press/ lift 25 tons of weight.

Concussive Beams: He is able to use/project the energy for a variety of effects, one of which is concussive force beams, which have the effective maximum force of 100 tons of TNT.

Personal Shield: He is able to create a malleable field of force with the ZPE around his body. This shield allows him to maintain breathing while in flight. It can also absorb kinetic and energy attacks to a degree, but will not stop them completely.

Flight: Using the ZPE to propel him up to speeds able to reach Mach 4, or 3,080 miles per hour. However flying requires General Freedom to place a personal shield around him to allow breathing.

The Zero-point energy of General Freedom:

Zero Point Energy as theorized by Dirac is the particles of negative energy states that fill the vacuum of space. This energy state continually fluctuates never resting and is constantly oscillating at the absolute minute rate allowed by quantum physics, a quantum light wave if you will. This constant motion of particles in the body of the character has led to mutations that allow him to draw and control this negative energy state within his body. When the character unleashes the ZPE it creates a virtual vacuum between the character and the target on a subatomic level, with in that vacuum the ZPE which is in effect a locally produced negative energy state of space-time between the originating source of the anomaly, is shaped and directed as mass, inertia and gravity in a focused wave towards the target. Once the ZPE beam reaches the terminus point the energy is released in a kinetic force blast that can reach at its maximum level, the equivalent of 100 tons of TNT. While the theoretical output of ZPE is limitless, it is limited to be on par with the power of other technologies in the role-playing universe

Weakness: General Freedom has normal human weakness regarding the need for air, food, water and magic based attacks.

Paraphernalia: Just his body suit, and the ToT or Tetrahedron of Transport.

Abilities: A versatile hand to hand combatant and adept at military intelligence. General Freedom also has very good battlefield medical knowledge and skill.

Misc: Has the Tetrahedron of Transport, a device he found among the ruins of a crashed Han’zadur ship. The Tetrahedron allows General Freedom to venture across the multiverse, by adjusting the movable sides so that a different series of symbols align he can venture to places that the ToT is aligned to. He wears the ToT as part of his uniform as the buckle of his thick blue leather belt.

.
The writer who cares more about words than about characters, action, setting, atmosphere is unlikely to create a vivid and continuous dream; he gets in his own way too much; in his poetic drunkenness, he can't tell the cart- and its cargo- from the horse.

It's an extremely good book in the extremely good series, Discworld. It's part of the Witches Sequence. Walter is a character who, whenever he wears a mask, becomes smooth, suave and coordinated; the opposite of normal (a jittery, always yelling, crazed janitor incapable of commas).

I still need to make a backstory. Can being a hobo be fine for now? :P

I vote we get this show on the road. This is looking more and more interesting. Love the General Freedom guy; just the type of over-the-top classic comic book type we were missing! XD

Also, being ex-SEAL like your boy is, he may well have heared of / met Thatcher while the other was running with the Army's black berets. The Spec Ops guys tend to run close enough to get under eachother's skins. =D

Backstories are awsome. If you want, that is. If not, no worries!

Thanks. Sure that would be fine, I am sure that we covered some of the same ground and fought in some of the same secret wars working for the USSOCOM.

Occasionally an over the top costumed hero is what is needed. To many dark brooding heroes, so I decided that I would do the symbol hero, the one easily identifiable as a hero and light to people oppressed by villainy.

I figure it allows a great deal of freedom in terms of story for everyone involved, especially villains.

For now I am just waiting to see if I am approved for the role-play.

Only if Captain Nazi or Colonel Communism show up. Otherwise they have their own monthly comic.

What about Sargent Socialism? Or is this the O-club of conventions; no dirty enlisted allowed. XD

Anyway, I'm eager to get this thing rolling! This sounds like a lot of fun and I hope it doesnt go stagnant. Serriously; I've got a page full of 'your posts' threads, and I'll be damned if I've gotten to post more then thrice before they died. Not a great first month, yaknow? x_x

Ph34r me, for I am the killer of RPs!
