When Tyler got down stairs, his breakfast was already made. His mom had a tendency to make him food even though he could do it well on his own. But this way took less time. Today's meal was toast with butter and a cup of milk. He threw his stuff down on the table and started to dig in. He could hear his mom working in the next room on something.

When he finished his toast and was downing his milk, he heard a familiar voice outside, a little ways down the street. Grinning, Tyler grabbed his stuff, slipped on his shoes, and bolted out the door, yelling "Bye, mom. Love you.", over his shoulder. Seems I didn't miss the wake up call.

Fern skated in a circle for a while on the streets, wondering silently if they had already left without her. Was she really that late? She didn;t have a watch so she would never know the time till she got into the school. She couldn't even be sure if she was still on time or not. Searching for a familiar face, she wondered if Tyler was already gone as well. She was too lazy to check though, knowing if he was on his way to school, he would have to pass her anyways on his way. She decided she would wait a little longer and see what was up. Hoping one of her friends knew the time but not really caring at the same time as she hummed lightly to herself, skating around slowly to wake herself up from her still half sleep.

Roxy looked at James. "We should probably meet her" She said, then walked off to grab her bag and meet Fern. "Feather, Fern, thingy, where are you, come hither or I shall eat you!" She called out the door, then paused. "RAWR!" She backed up her last sentance, then laughed. "No, but seriously, Fern, where are you, I'm kinda blind this morning" Roxy called once more, then walked out of her house and skipped down the stairs.

Lizzie woke up with a scream as her two younger twin brothers poured ice cold water on her. She jumped out of her bed as her brothers began laughing as they stood there. “I’m going to kill you, you little maggots!” She screamed at them as they stopped laughing and began running towards the door. She ran after them, but they got away. She sighed and decided she’d get them later before she gathered her clothes for the day and walked to her bathroom. She turned the shower on and undressed before she got in.

About 15 minutes later she got out and got dressed in her Social Distortion t-shirt, dark blue skinny jeans, black hi-top converse that had two different laces, and her black studded belt. She blow-dried her hair and then fixed it until she had it just the way she wanted it. She then put on some black eye shadow and a ton of eyeliner before walking out of the bathroom and down stairs to the kitchen. She grabbed some toast before walking out of her house.

Fern looked up when she heard Roxy calling from the house. A goofy looking smile spreading over her features as she skated to her front door to meet her on her way down the stairs, sighing with releif. "Man, I thought I was sooooo late this morning. My alarm went off but I didn't wake up and I was so freaked when I saw everyone had already left the apartment for work and I swore I would miss first period. I can not afford another detention either, after last time my tardy list is long enough to make shakspear cry. Jeeze, I'm starved. Do you have a dollar I could buy a granola bar with once we get to school?" She added a guilty smile to this request. She borrowed enough money from them all to feed an entire third world country. They probably would never see it ever again either. When she borrowed, she rarely had the cash to pay it back. She took a breath, deciding she had babbled on enough for one morning. She was glad she had found kids who could put up with her motor mouth, she knew as well as anyone it could get on people's nerves.

Finally she turned to her friend. "Anyways. Glad to see you. Where's James?"

Tyler ran up the street, heading for James and Roxy's house. When he arrived, he saw Roxy and Fern already outside, probably waiting for James. He could hear Fern already going on when one of her talking tangents. Tyler couldn't help but smile. He snuck behind them, placed his stuff on the ground, and then pounced, wrapping his arms around their shoulders. "Hey, howdy, hey! Good morning to you two!" He chuckled and glanced up at the Parker's home. "That lazy bum even out of bed yet?"

Fern smiled when Tyler jumped up behind them, "Nah, looks like he's out for the count. I'm just glad I'm not the late one this morning. This is a weird change. Kinda creepy." She ducked out from under his arm, skating a circle around them and comming to a stop in her original spot at Roxy and Tyler's sides, grinning stupidly the entire time as she did. "So did anyone get the calc. homework last night? Cuz I had trouble onnnnn.....everything." She finished lamely.

Roxy didn't bother moving, she was in a lazy mood this morning. She gave Fern a doller, then looked at Tyler. "Ummm, he's awake, just trying to piss us off I guess" She said, then slinked out from under him and ran into the house, coming back with James' coller in her hand. She grinned, then let go of him and sat at the kerb. She sighed and ran her fingers thorugh her hair, and covered her mouth, yawning.

James was finishing off his cereal when he heard the sounds of his friends voices, so he finished off his cereal and threw the dishes in the sink. He started to head out the door,but not without checking to make sure his clothes was straight: he was wearing some blue Lrg shorts and the matching shirt with his favorite waffle ice cream shoes, the shoes didn't match so much but that's what made them perfect. Now that everything thing was ok he opened the door and started to close when he noticed he forgot his car keys, but as he looked outside seeing all his friends he didn't think it would be enough room so he just said forget it. "Yes I know you all were worried that your beloved James wasn't going to make it but alas I have arrived! So bow before thee!"

Fern rolled her eyes at him as he stepped out the door but mock bowed before him. "We are so humbled by your prescence oh lazy one." She joked, grinning. "Good to see you decided to wake up this morning." She added, brushing some stray strands of hair from her face and hoisting her grey bag higher up on her shoulder so she wouldn't drop it. This happened on more than one occasion. Dropping her bag had become somewhat of a naturla thing and she was hoping to rid herself of that habit, holding it tight in her hand.

Tyler grabbed his stuff off the ground from where he dropped it. Wheh he looked up, James ahd arrived with his speech. Smiling, Tyler walked over to him and gave him a playful punch in the arm. "Hey, buddy. Finally got your butt out of bed? Or were just hiding from your sister?" He ducked, expecting some sort of punch from Roxy. Tyler considered James like a brother. Seeing as he was the only guy he could really call a friend, he felt a brotherly bond to James.

Roxy glared at Tyler. "He probably was, considering the noise he was making all night!" She growled, but laughed. She slipped her hands in her pockets and started to walk towards the school. "Band practice after school?" She asked, then looked behind her shoulder at the others. "Or shall we do something else?" She asked, pausing as she asked.

Fern shrugged as she skated slowly alongside them as they all walked to school. "Doesn't matter to me." She said, glancing at her friends to see what they had planned. She really didn't care if they had band practice or just hung out. She was no good at making choices. Never had been. She was always rethinking herself. She smiled as she let the others decide.

James followed behind Roxy but took the lead and gave her a mean eye "Well what can I say I do have my way with the ladies!" he said while giving a friendly wink to Fern. "But enough about my late night exploits, I am definitely up for a after school sesh if yall are up to it."

Fern held back her laugh, crossing her arms and sticking her tongue out at James playully. It was still pretty early and there was no rush to get to school today, just the way she liked it, gliding along next to her three friends lazily with only the calculus test to worry her. And now that Roxy had brought up band practice and James had jumped on it, she now had something to occupy herself with after the day was over, something to look forward to. She glanced at Tyler.

"What about you? You up to it?" She asked, hands going into the pockets of her pants.

Roxy was distracted. She folded her arms over her chest and kicked a lump of gravel before her, running around like s little child, then kicked it to Tyler. "Yeah, you up for it?" She asked, then nodded her head, indicating for him to kick it back to her. She waited, but eventually got bored and ran up to him, then flung her arms around his shoulders, distracting him while she got the rock away from his feet, then started to kick it around again.

Tyler was about to kick the rock back when Roxy came and jumped him and stole it back. Answering the question, he lifted his guitar case. "Well, I'm ready if you are. Shouldn't we see if Lizzie wants to?" He glanced arpund at their little circle of friends. They were all together except Lizzie. They still needed to pick her up on the way to school. "Kinda seems unfair to make a decision without everyone here." Before she could do anything, tyler dodged around Roxy and stole the rock back.

Lizzie sat on her front steps as she waited for her friends. She did this every morning, though this morning they were taking forever and a day. She pulled out her Zune and put her headphones in her ear as she pressed play. The song that came on was Guys Like You Make Us Look Bad by Blessthefall. She happily began to play air guitar along with the song as she waited for her friends. Why were they taking so long? She questioned herself.

Fern picked up some speed as Lizzie's house came into veiw, turning to wave over her shoulder to her other three friends as she spotted Lizzie on her porch, listening to music casually. "Lizzie!" Fern called forward to her, waving her arm like she was shooing flies out of the air and not just saying hello. She skid to a halt as the others joined them both in front of her house. "Sorry we're late. James was taking a lifetime to decide how to do his hair this morning." She teased, smiling.

“Fern!” Lizzie yelled with a laugh as she turned her music down some and stood up. She then looked at James and crossed her arms. “How dare you James. Make this poor girl have to sit here and wait while all the while she was thinking that you all hated me for something.” She scolded jokingly as she punched his arm.
