-Story-

Team Omega. They chose this name because they will be the last.

Having seen the failures of the organizations that preceeded them, they have taken steps to ensure that they will not fall the same way.

Their pokémon have been implanted with a control chip that inhibits all sense of morality, allowing them to attack anyone or anything at any time with fatal power. They are no longer teamates or partners, they are weapons.

Team Omegas plans are not so simple to end with mere weaponized pokémon, no. They seek the legendary pokémon. Pokémon who are forces of nature. Pokémon who are so strong as to be uncatchable, leaving only an Essence behined.

For those trainers who have an Essence, in times of great need, they can use it to call that legendary pokémon to their aid.

Team Omega seeks to posses every essence that exists in this world, believing that if they control all the essences of a Legendary, that they will be able to control the pokémon itself, allowing them to take over the world with an army of God-like pokémon.

But to do that, they will need every, single, essence.

A new tournament ground has recently opened, the largest of its kind, and the owner has invited all trainers from all regions, who are at least thirteen years old and have participated in a pokemon league tournament, to participate in a grand opening tournament. Team Omega recognizes that this is a perfect oportunity to retrieve the remaining essences.

-Your Role-

You will be playing as one of the invities to the tournament(this means you are over 13 years of age, have at least 8 badges from one region, and have participated in a Poke’mon League tournament), as well as one of the holders of a Legendary Essence.

-Your Goal-

To protect your essence from Team Omega, stop their plans for world domination, and maybe win the tournament.

-The Rules-

Play fair. (If you don't know what this means, don't sign up)
Player vs Player(PvP) tournament battles will take place in their own thread.
Player vs NPC tournament battles will be completed in one post, in the main thread.
No pokemon bios(because apparently I need to say this.
No Stats (Really people?)
No Gym Leaders (Ex-Leaders are fine, if you must -_-)
Each trainer must have one, and only one, legendary essence.
Mewtwo is not available
Each Pokemon may know...
-All moves they would learn by leveling up.
-All HM Moves they are capable of learning
- 4 moves learned through Technical Machines, Move Tutors, and Breeding (Hereafter referred to as Taught Moves or TMS)
Moves are context sensitive. (Dig can only be used on dirt, Fly in open air, Surf on water, etc)

*A note on Essences*
An Essence is a mystical object that represents a Legendary pokemon. They can be used to call the legendary it represents, but that is all it can do. Call them. Whether or not it appears depends on three things; Distance, Purpous, and Consent.
Meaning how far apart you are, what you are calling it for, and if the pokemon will consent to come at all. Keep this in mind.
It is up to you what your essence looks like, though I would like you to follow the examples I've given.

Legendary Essence: Ice Feather – Articuno

Brief History: Borne in the Orre region, Nails learned to make due with the poke’mon he could get. His oldest poke’mon is actually his Sandslash, though many assume it is his Charizard(Appearently Charmanders are given out to top students at some trainers schools). Orre only had one Gym and was therefore ineligible to hold a League tournament, but it had many coliseums for tournaments(his charizard hatched from an egg he won at one), in which he became one of the top contenders in the region. It wasn’t until he was in his twenties that he decided to head out to gather badges from another region. Being a veteran trainer he was easily able to acquire the eight requisite badges within a year, though he had missed the cutoff date for entry into that years tournament. To date he has competed in three, though he has not yet won the right to challenge the Elite Four.

Brief History: Alex was born in the Sinnoh region, and got his first pokemon, an Eevee there as well. He traveled everywhere in the region, getting new pokemon and new partners to fight along side him. After a few years of traveling in his home region, he began to get board of the same thing over and over again, and set his sights higher, going to far off lands such as Kanto, Johto, Orange Islands, you name it, he was there. He faced every Gym and won them all, but could never seem to place very high in the Pokemon League itself. Always coming up two or three rounds short of the finals. As he was beginning to wonder if there was anything he could do to show the world he really was a good trainer, not just one of those people that are somehow able to get all the badges then fail in the League, he got a message saying that he was invited to an amazing event that was being held in a new stadium. Being a man that could never back down from a challenge, and seeing as this was the perfect opprotunity to show the world what he was made of, he got the first boat right to the stadium and was ready for his first battle the day he got there.

Legendary Essence: Mystic Leaf (Celebi)

Brief History: Darrien has always thought fondly towards dog-Pokémon, his team beginning with an Electrike and Houndour. Not long after they both evolved, the trainer caught a Poochyena, and then afterward, a Growlithe. He wasn't thrilled about fighting, seeing Pokémon as friends rather than tools. Instead, he ran with them everyday, both himself and his team growing stronger as they did so. One day his Poochyena, Fang, had his first fight and Darrien realized that he loved it. While his other Pokémon weren't against fighting, they weren't nearly as eager as he was. For the sake of Fang, Darrien continued letting him battle, Chispa, his Manectric, and Reaper, his Houndoom, growing more interested as they watched him. Eventually his entire team, aside from Tigre, his Growlithe, had evolved and learned to enjoy fighting, as well as living as they used to. Upon his travels, Darrien picked up two new Pokémon, a small Shinx and Eevee. Since then, Shinx has evolved into Luxio, who he has nicknamed Melena, but Eevee, or Vulpine, remains as Tigre, oftentimes avoiding fights.

Sure, you can be the last trainer I fight on the boat if you want XD We both missed the first boat to the island for trainers, and thus we're paying off our lack of tickets by battling XD

Brief History: Imogen was born and raised in Mossdeep city, in the Hoenn Reigon. She has loved Pokemon since she was very young, and has always seen them as something mysterious and strange, as if there was far more to them than meets the eye. She received a shiny Feebas from her older brother Frederick, who told her if she took very good care of him, he would turn into something wondrously beautiful. As she got older, she began to catch other Pokemon and build teams, and she followed her twin sister, Kathryn, to take the gym challenge and eventually beat three of the Elite Four, but was unable to ever beat Drake. She has since traveled to the Sinnoh region and beaten the eight gym leaders there, as well as pick up new Pokemon, including a second shiny Pokemon from a trade. She met Jirachi while back in Mossdeep, around Shoal Cave.

Brief History: Kathryn left home early to be educated in Kanto, and returned with a pair of dragons, Charmander and Dratini. She also won a Porygon from the Game Corner, which her parents initially disapproved of. Having been unable to beat Misty with her then-small team, Kathryn immediately caught a Grass type; a Shroomish. She beat all eight of Hoenn's gym leaders, and the Elite Four, but lost repeatedly to Steven, the champion. She then returned to Kanto and collected the eight badges, and eventually earned the title of Champion. After returning to Hoenn and encountering a strange Pokemon called Deoxys, she left for Sinnoh, where she heard teams such as the Rockets were wreaking havoc.

I'm still here. I wasn't sure what exactly my characters should be doing before the tournament started, and I wasn't all that comfortable with having a run-in with Team Omega; I was hoping to see a bit more of them before writing them.

However, since this isn't doing so well, I could start with my girls training. Are there wild Pokemon on the island that they could battle?
